Religion / Re: CAMA Act: CAN Failed In Its Watchdog Role - David Bamgbose by Goodnews1170(m): 8:02am On Aug 24, 2020
To me, the church is somehow responsible for this. The churches do a lot of show up of her wealth to the point of giving details to the media.
It was the church who gave the federal government billions of naira during covid-19 thereby divulging its affluence.

It is the GO's that are using private get and are proudly telling their critics that more gets will soon come to their sadness.

Sometimes these churches leave out some members who might be in need to be expending on things that show their wealth.

This is why the government is after the income of the church. This is one of the consequences of misplaced priority. Materialism is not what the church is called to do.

These Nigeria churches abroad obey the same rules over there.

I am not supporting the government because of corrupt elements in it. The government will want to bring in the laws obtainable in other countries but will not follow and execute them the ways other countries do theirs. Nigerian government will mess up its own with corruption.

To me, the government should let the church be even as the Church retraces her steps for its purpose. Thanks.

Well, I have found it some how difficult to answer questions from my experience. I bought my Samsung 32" television about 8yrs ago and it has been serving me greatly and without any one time fault.

Saying Samsung is the best may sound like I don't acknowledge the blessings I released on my television when I bought it. I am in the habit of praying for properties once I secure any and I know God has been gracious to me.

I travelled about 2hr journey from my location to visit s samsung shop that sells only Samsung products because I wanted to do what lies within my human ability to secure a good television.
However, I prayed on it before use.

This is not to say that those whose own burnt earlier have no God's hand in theirs o. But my advice would be that as much as we make inquiries to get the best of properties, let's remember they are man-made and pray on them before use. Thank you all!

Education / The Private Schools And A Need For Palliatives by Goodnews1170(m): 9:27am On May 19, 2020
On the increasing cases of COVID-19, Dr Owolabi was asked on this show to explain how private school teachers have been coping.

In no time, hell was let loose into this topic.
THEY ARE ALMOST REGRETTING BEING TEACHERS
THEY ARE DISILLUSIONED
THEY ARE DEPRESSED
THEY ARE WORRIED
THEY ARE DOWNCAST
THEY ARE DROWNED
THEY ARE WEARY
THEY ARE HOPELESS
THEY ARE DISPARAGED
THEY ARE DEFORMED
THEY ARE LOST
THEY ARE LOOSING STEAM, THEY ARE ALMOST REGRETTING BEING PRIVATE SCHOOL TEACHERS, no pension and no salaries. What a world of hopelessness

These teachers are Nigerians, they are our citizens.
They are our brothers and sisters.
They are tax payers by all standards
They are those who chose the growth of our children.
They are our men and women who go to the same market with the rest of us.
They are those who have made schooling much more easier.

Remember, since the LOCKDOWN or STAY-AT-HOME they had remained at home like the rest of us.
They stopped collecting salaries since March 2020
They cannot go around doing their any private lesson.
They cannot organise their own private online, it is expensive
They cannot go to different homes, it is too risky to do that
They cannot find any one other job to do, it is not the best time to invest.

They must be assisted by govts-federal, state, local and even corporate bodies.

Every other businesses are getting back, the traders, the hawkers, the nurses, doctors, drivers, food sellers, ministry officials and others.
But, the teachers are not in the list and have remained the least to be considered to resume work.

STIPEND, OR CALL IT TOKEN will not be a bad idea for the teachers all the country.
The public school teachers, we know will receive their salaries, this is because they are paid from budgetary allocation of the federal, state or local govt.
Even if the lockdown stays for months, the public school teachers will continually get paid. Not so for the private school teachers whose remuneration is consequent upon school fees.

It is not too much to help them. It is not an extravagance to assist them and it is not too bad and idea to extend a hand of fellowship to this set of Nigerians who have helped the public school, who have helped the country.

At hyfield we always imagine the situation of education in their absence.
In their absence-
Admission into public primary schools will be war
Admission into secondary schools will be a tall order
So many children today, will not go beyond primary school
Schools will be a place for the rich alone
Books would be used and re-used over and again
Those working at public schools would be demi-gods
Several children will be aged and still be looking for secondary or primary school admission.
And many more catastrophies that will be experienced.

Govt knows how to allocate so much money to buy cars, furnitures, and dresses for our honorables
Govt knows how throw money during election campaigns and elections
Govt knows how to change the fleet of cars for the traditional rulers and send money to the houses of worship.

The govt knows ways used to settle area boys and street urchins
They know how they share their pack of rice to the women and men who hover round them.

They must know how to help these helpless teachers, these people who chose the future of our children ahead of other professions, these teachers who agreed to grow our nation.

However little there must be a help
They must get their own share of palliatives
They must be given their own lockdown supplement

IT IS THE ONLY WAY TO AVOID
Braindrain
Teacher scarcity
Lack of interest in the job
Disinterest in the profession at private level
Seing the job at the private level as being cursed

IT IS DOABLE & POSSIBLE
Where is the Abacha loot?
Where is the forfeited Dizzeani money?
Where are those money hidden in the various soakaway pits?

Hyfield will be ready to help govt, we will be ready to help you reach the schools, get the teachers and have the token distributed.

This is the only time our education will count
This is the only time our nation will remain blessed
This is WHAT EDUCATION MEANS
Politics / Re: 2019 Elections: Daura Youth To Purchase Nomination Forms For Buhari, Masari by Goodnews1170(m): 3:48pm On Jan 21, 2018
The problem Nigeria is facing is untruthfulness amongst its citizens. Can't this northern boys be truthful for once? Are you guys ignorant of the untold hardship brought to Nigerians by this Buhary of a person? Or you just want him because he is from Daura? Check out the cost of commodities in the market, fuel, lopsided appointment of northerners, massive killings and what have you. Pls lets forget Buhary and look for a young blood to help Nigeria out of this mess. God bless Nigeria.

Politics / Re: Quit Notice To Igbos: Arewa Youths Change Their Minds, Reconsider Igbos (Photos) by Goodnews1170(m): 1:40am On Aug 23, 2017
Hadone:
Igbos and other Nigerians are our brothers and sisters. We live cordially with them and ask any southerner living in the north he will attest how we harmoniously live together and respect one another. We did northern declaration to deliberately awaken them and even other Nigerians that the north can survive with or without anybody. We of course prefer to live as a nation since it's what's destined by God, but we'll not tolerate any threats any longer from anybody. Let me repeat myself again that the northern declaration is just a wake-up call to awaken most especially the igbos to come back to their senses and either stay or leave. Simple!! And we can say that "kwalliya ta biya kudin sabulu" a Hausa proverb which mean to say aim has been achieved. Because shortly after the declaration, the igbos starts dabbling saying this and that not intending to depart northern territories. And look at our leaders, Emirs and Governors went against it even though it's known to them that the declaration is just a mere saying not fully intentional. But look at how the Igbos publicly misbehave and non of their leaders could talk to them. Anyway I'm ready to take all your abuses, but I love you as Nigerians. Thank you
it is well o. I am an Igbo who was born and brought up in the north. I love the northern people so much and I can tell you that we all live together in peace and respect for each other. But I will only plead with the northern people to kindly desist from hiding under religion to cause mayhem. Islam, they say, is a religion of peace. The statement can only be true if its practicality reflects it. I am an advocate of one Nigeria. I love you all!!!
