eGuerrilla: For devising a league table which portrays Nigeria as a country where 'good governance' remains a pipe dream after 14 years of unbroken PDP rule, Mo Ibrahim is nothing more than a 'hater'. With his organisation's refusal to acknowledge the dividends of 'fresh air' and an 'uncommon transformation', which abounds everywhere you look, it is beyond doubt that this attention-seeking Somali has been compromised by detractors aligned to various opposition parties.

Are you insinuating Jonathan deserves to win the Mo prize. my goodness, you are kidding right? the Aluu style lynchings, Boko beheading and bombs, kidnapping, i won't declare my assets and i don't give a damn, unreasonable government spending and the list goes on.

Just because you open the floor for all to steal with the mind set of "its our turn" will never make anyone a good leader.

Afam4eva: Which kain ogbanje award be that wey person no dey win? Even Nobel prize is given every time. There's no such thing as "No one deserved to win". Common sense should tell to award it to who deserves it more even if the list of competitors is mediocre. I guess that money is too much for them to just give away like that.

Giving the criteria, i agree the award should be withheld until another deserving person earns it. if you observe, all the winners so far are from the southern part of africa. Joaquim Chissano of Mozambique (Second President), Pedro Pires of Cape Verde (Third President) and Festus Mogae of Botswana (Third President).

I can testify to the efforts made by the Botswana guy, he sent his people all over the world to get education, never withheld their allowance like our folks normally do and he is quite honest. Watched his contribution during an LGBT debate in South Africa, straightforward guy. And as at the time he left and till date, their GDP per capita is $14,000.

Sam_Ikenna:

Where did Ojukwu fail? Was Ojukwu the president who kept hands akimbo while a gang of jihadists unleashed genocidal pogrom on their fellow country men? Was it Ojukwu who went to Aburi and signed agreement only to turn around to spit on it leading to an avoidable war that killed over 20% of our people?

You guys think you're sleek but you're not. If GEJ likes let him pay Tompolo or Polotom with all the crude under ND's soil. It's ND's oil not mine and I will not fight for what's not mine. Everybody should pay mind to what's in his backyard, no more robbing Peter to pay Paul. It was good and dandy when northern military men wasted Nigeria's time and money, created multiple states, and made every hamlet a local govt to the detriment of others. It was ok when they played god and wasted our commonwealth on useless ventures. You guys were not in a hurry then, right? Now all of a sudden everything is GEJ - absolute BS. In fact, I would say that this is why the core north should stop all the noise and table their pains before the confab. Go their and tell all how GEJ is paying his foot-soldiers with oil money in preparation for a break-up.

You all should stop complaining about GEJ because after the few years he's been on the saddle we can tell what's going on and that is - you can't live without power. This is the sole reason we must make sure you're frustrated out of it.

Taste your medicine bro and feel what we felt.

One_Naira: So that's why Nigeria chickened out. Without UK,USA,China and many other nations backing them up, they can't get balls to fight France. LMFAO, the same nation that's always running their mouth on how it's "superior" military defeated Biafra even with France backing it up. Roflmao.

Nigeria was actually fighting France with biafra as its proxy. The operation was directly ordered by Gen. De Gaulle, it failed in 79 with biafra loosing and they tried again and got bakassi. biafrans should blame france for genocide. When i have time, i'll upload the documentary again, aljazeera removed it. The French African connection episode 2 tongue tongue tongue

saintandsinnerz: With due respect i will say that Keshi is handling the Super Eagles unprofessionally! There are some players he practically shut the door at without any cogent reason. And again, there are some he keeps inviting who practically does not have any business with the national team. He is very vindictive, hence i wonder why he has refused to invite players like Joseph Yobo, Lukeman Haruna, Sone Aluko, Dele Adeleye etc. These players play regular football for their respective clubs in Europe! The most surprising was him not inviting Yobo in recent times despite the form he has shown in Europe and the Turkish superliga! I will prefer the experience of Yobo over the likes of Egwuekwe, Okwuosa and co. By shutting the door on Yobo as a result of the comment he made is the height of unprofessionalism. Since when did expressing an opinion prevents one from the national team? The truth is that Keshi has biase against some certain players and a soft spot towards some others and that will be anathema to the growth of the national team in future. Let merit be the basis of national team invitation!

Say it as it is, Keshi is a bloody tribalist. na their way.

Goddex: All you haters on nairaland including the author of this piece spreading hate stories on print and social media can go f**k you mama, for all I care. Bunch of loosers!

This process of popularization was soon followed by a sudden surge in a hitherto marginal stock of aggressive sympathizers and praise singers of the President in a seeming invasion of several forums. Most surprising to observers like me was less the reality of the President’s supporters suddenly turning uncouth, militantistic and foul-mouthed than their numerical upsurge at a logically mistimed period
