ProgrammingRe: Is It Late To Start Learning Programming @ 28 Years? by gozzilla(m): 3:47pm On May 06, 2010
No age is too late. Programming is certainly not the hardest thing to learn. Making money is and men have made money at latter ages of their life. Yes you can,
ProgrammingRe: Differentiating Bar Codes In A Batch: Help Needed by gozzilla(m): 2:36pm On May 06, 2010
Just to add. When you read any bar code with a bar code reader you can see the code. So in a way if two codes are same you can spot it on time. It is plug and play with Microsoft Excel

Its a simple technology that has not caught up over here.

ProgrammingRe: Where Are The Java Programmers? by gozzilla(m): 12:37pm On May 06, 2010
I guess Seun is not "really" a programmer. I say this with no disrespect at all - nairaland forum, tells me he is a great man . But to say there is no difference between learning on the command line and learning with an IDE is doing great injustice to any beginner.
You realise that using an IDE to learn java programming is a complete overkill. Imagine coding HelloWorld (a five line < 100word application) with Netbeans. Not only will you end up thinking Java is synonymous with Netbeans, your programming will be limited. You begin to believe any thing you need is out there when in reality you need to look in before looking out. How do you do the simple mistakes that ingrain a programming habit into you. Using an IDE knocks the fun off for a beginner programmer. Yes, if you have had experience with another programming language then absolutely you don't need to go through that path again.

But make no mistake the joy of programming is always the joy of programming. Getting it right after hours, to discover it was just a spelling error. I promise you you won't be forgetting in a hurry. You realise that is what every java programmer loves about the free Bruce Eckel book online. It just makes sense. Not the easiest Java tutorial available, but sure it makes sense.

So my advice go get notepad ++. It has got great highlighting and some useful pluggin. Forget JEdit. It is another steep learning curve.

Seun:
When I started, I used the last 40k in my account to buy an inverter+battery, and I've never regretted it.

Generator: 15k. Inverter: 35k. Battery: 22k. While your mates are waiting for NEPA, you're making money.
NTA news flash. Mr Seun tells his story to aspiring Programmers.

Sound advice all the way,

its good. But really a bank site (enterprise application) can only be judged on functionality not necessarily look.

And for future demo, change the bank name to something fictitious. You are simply giving the "bad guys" an unnecessary head start. Great colours though.
CareerRe: Zenith Bank's Employment by gozzilla(m): 9:16am On Mar 13, 2010
Are we really born average? Have we become a society of mediocre? is this something our society has done to the youth?

Where are all your dreams house. Why advice a guy to settle for less when he believes he can be more. Is this the kind of ATTITUDE we will raise our kids on. I have read through this post and i tell you there are few world-beaters here. Folks sound as if the world has floored them down. If i cann't reach my dream then i settle for less. I must love 50 cent. if all our youths talk like this. Die rich or at least die trying (that might sound more like a gangsta., but it is the truth all time)

Why drown and want to drown others. If you feel life is best settling for less, man i wish God gave you no talent at all. For all your worth you think you cann`t ask for more.

However I have bashed the bumper before, and it was due to the fact that I was looKing at a big bacK-side on the other side of the road, i hit the covet and quicKly swerved bacK. Since then I stopped looKing at bacK-sides while driving.
Man good for you

I did one. Back in the university days. It was a peugeot 504. We were about 5 in the car. 2 guys and 3 babes. Funny thing was i never felt like picking up those chicks.
Somehow i tried overtaking a trailer on a hilly road. The 504 had good engines so it moved nice and fast. But at the top of the hill i forgot myself and kept on the speed. Right at the top was a round about so i ought to have reduced the speed. one thing lead to another and i found myself on the round about.

It sure has made me more careful

Has anyone noticed the wattery stuff called blue band. It is so nonsense i can use a can in 3 days. Just for 3 big loafs.
Thought a new product means better product. Or is there something about the old one they are not telling us. If the old one feels so damn good, but only the manufacturer feels otherwise. Me i no Know o!!
WebmastersRe: Review Of Basket Mouth's Website by gozzilla(m): 1:06pm On Oct 28, 2009
Truth be told it is a great site,
Well it suits the personality of the owner,

Nothing more to say, The site is basically non-interactive. I cann't access the videos or comment on them. how the hell is he suppose to know if his fans checked in.
The navigation thing, (unacceptable. How do you remember where u are coming from)
The double landing, (accepted b/c it is a common practice for flash pages)

But generally guys did a great job, but like they said we should stop accepting mediocrity. If the site developer would just pop in here for an hour, that site will be on adobe flash site of the day by day end,
WebmastersRe: Oya Tear This Site Apart by gozzilla(m): 1:32am On Aug 15, 2009
ok its a catchy site that i give to you. it feels like a template too few words in them. like you are in a hurry to get out.

seems to me there is too much of red color being used. the red is great just too much of it. stick to a color of font on each paragraph or listiing.

then if you need further tearing apart. drop us a dummy user name and pass and maybe a dummy pin and code.

but all in all great site.
