ThePrekky: For the amount the note5 pro is being touted at? I can't go for it abeg. The difference btw it and the redmi 5 plus doesn't warrant that wide margin in price. Slight camera upgrade and bump from SD 625 to 626? Not even 630 at least or even 660? Habamana! Every other thing is the same and costs btw more than 30k plus. Ha fuckugo up, dianyi! I know you have been corrected but let me say again, don't allow the naming pattern of snapdragon processors to deceive you. The snapdragon 636 in the Redmi note 5 pro is far better than the Snapdragon 630, even the snapdragon 650/652 are no match for it. Also the camera difference between Redmi note 5 pro and Redmi 5 plus is not slight. |

Svelte98: P.S: I've read that the Note 5 pro is not just much bigger, but much heavier than 5 plus. So its already a turn off for me. I may like big/wide screens, but bulky/heavy phones are not for me. My hands are little. But the Redmi 5 plus and the Redmi note 5 pro are approximately thesame in weight, 180g versus 181g. Maybe you should just buy it and see for yourself, you don't need like it, will buy it at an appropriate price . If you are really after lighter phones, be ready to sacrifice battery. |

The Redmi 5 plus is not an upgrade over the Redmi note 4x, unless you are just after the new design language. As for size and weight, you'll hardly notice any change with the Redmi note 4x, just slightly longer, but thinner. Would advise you go for Redmi note 5 pro instead that's the upgrade. |

Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Gptech(m): 10:19pm On Mar 10, 2018 |
lagosboy3: Please, how have you been coping with MIUI's over-aggressive RAM management issues? MIUI force closes apps in the background so that they consume less power but the disadvantage of that is you miss out on important notifications. For me, I must open certain apps like Truecaller before it is fully functional. Also, my second WhatsApp account is permanently offline until I start up the app. This can be really frustrating. All the workarounds I've seen online have not been of any help.
Any ideas folks? Where are the MIUI gurus in the house? Gptech, Grandmufti and Co. Then kuku lock d apps na, I don't experience such and I don't lock apps.. |

tgmservice: Why are you guys hyping this redmi phone, i bought the redmi 5a and i was so disappointed the camera is worst of the worst, it claims to be 13mp but it cannot beat 8mp on a tecno phone.
A Gionee phone which i used before the 13mp camera is a 1000 times better. Bros, megapixel count is not what determines picture quality in cameras, the top 3 cameras on mobile phones currently are all 12mp. You bought an entry level phone with lots of compromises of which camera is major. You simply get what you pay for. Again if you intend selling, am interested . |
Phones › Re: Why The Hype Of Redmi Phones by Gptech(m): 8:22pm On Mar 09, 2018 |
GrandMufti: You get what you pay for. If you want a better digital experience, buy the flagship MI series.
Besides, I'm not sure those hyping it based their praises solely on the camera; there a far many features which you wouldn't find in other phones in the same price bracket.
Meanwhile in case you wan hail the phone, buzz me Badt guy, hehehehe . |
