You better recognise who you’re dealing with. I’m not some newbie on here. Check my previous posts on U.K. student visa threads so you’ll have a picture of who you’re trying to go back and forth with.

You just testified about your visa days ago. Enjoy your trip to the Uk and don’t test my knowledge on this.

Don’t mislead people make your research before arguing blindly

This thing we’re talking about is simple logic. They told you that you must have you tuition and your maintenance cost in your bank account.
Tell me, what currency is the tuition and maintenance? When you want to convert it how will you do it?
It’s very simple. The amount you need to have in that foreign currency have to be up while your local currency will be down.

If you’re presenting a Nigerian bank statement, then the currency you have is Naira.

If you are not sure of something, it’s better you ask than concluding you know something that you aren’t sure of.

I’m not misleading anyone. I’m saying the right thing. That was what I used in calculating the amount I needed in my bank account. I have my visa.
What will I gain in misleading? Please don’t attack someone like that next time.

I’m an accountant and I deal with fx conversion daily at work.

Pounds need to be up while Naira have to be down. That was what I used and I have gotten my visa.
You’re overestimating using that method.

Collection email for dependant spouse: 02/12/2020 (after calling UKVI this morning, two hours later my husband got his collection email and visa approved also)

Things that work for me might not work for you.
Anything that’ll be in my favor and God has hand in, it always work well for me and I don’t have to stress myself. I’ve studied myself to that extent. I put God first in everything, I work hard and I’m independent.

As long as you are genuine and you put your mind into something, you work hard and have faith in God (as long as God want you there) things will definitely work out and you’ll make it.

One thing about me is that I’m super positive person. If anyone says it’s impossible, I always believe in myself and I definitely know that it’s possible for me and I’ll make it and succeed.

If you know me personally, you’ll understand what I’m trying to say.
My husband knows that I hate negativity around me and I believe in possibilities

Who are the so many? I’m sure that those so many u said are those that don’t have money to pay their tuition before leaving Nigeria (they borrowed money to fund their account for visa purpose) and are working their ass out in other to meet up with their tuition and pay other bills.
You need to plan yourselves before taking any step in life. Also, pray about every move you want to take. Ask God for guidance.

Many students that are in the UK are living fine.
One thing I believe in is the grace of God. I don’t believe in negativity. If people say it’s impossible, my God always say it’s possible for me because I’m a child of grace.

Please stop discouraging anyone.

Hello guys, I need your advice. I did my biometrics 27th Oct and I got a decision mail 11th of Nov and since then I haven’t gotten any collection mail from Ikeja TLS, i have tracked my application and it says it’s still at the DMC. Is there anyone in a similar situation? Should I be bothered?

My decision email was 10th November but no collection email yet. I called UKVI, they said we should wait till end of this week because the whole process takes 15 working days

About applying to SHU

£1,000 deposit was what I paid before I was booked for PreCAS interview at SHU. After successful interview I was issued CAS.

It depends on your school. Some schools do ask for 28 days bank statements while some doesn’t. For my school, we only do PreCAS interview, once successful we’ll be issued CAS.

I do not advise that you should go to tlscontact office. Because they’ll tell you that they haven’t received it. I went there twice this week (VI) and was told they haven’t received our passport yet. That we should wait till we get collection email or better still contact UKVI

For mine, biometrics was on 5th Nov while decision email was 10th Nov. No collection email since then. I think tlscontact VI is the one delaying because ikeja are sending collection email on time

Thanks for this information. For my partner dependant, I added 4 months to my course end date as Visa expiry and it came up with the same amount which I had already paid. Should I fill another application for my child dependant and add 4 additional months to my course end date so I can pay the same amount which I paid?

I'm worried about the IHS payment difference to avoid NOT STRAIGHT FORWARD EMAIL FROM UKVI.

Please advise.

You don’t need to add additional 4 month. Just input the course start and end date.

I don’t think you did anything wrong. Normally the main applicant ihs total fee is higher than the dependant.

I submitted my degree Certificate, bank statement, TB test, passport data page and my CAS.

We all did Biometrics on the 6th of November. I received my decision mail on the 11th while they received theirs on the 12th.

The pick up mail will come..I have also not received my pick up mail.

Ok thanks for your swift response. Our biometrics was Nov 5th and decision email Nov 10th, but still awaiting passport collection email

2. Wait and apply at once.

Myself and my dependants applied at the same time..Their visas came out today. I am still awaiting mine. I don't know why cos I received my decision mail before theirs.
