In the heart of a lively village in Nigeria, there lived a beautiful anf kind hearted girl named Kemi. Kemi had the brightest smile that could light up the darkest of days and a laugh that made everyone feel warm inside. She was loved by everyone in the village, sadly, her mother had passed away when she was very young, and her father, the king, had remarried a woman named Olabisi, to help take care of Kemi. Olabisi was not a kind woman, She was jealous of Kemi's beauty and kindness. All the young men admired Kemi and wanted to be her friend. The villagers also loved kemi because she was always ready to help anyone in need. But Olabisi wanted all the attention to be on her daughter, Tolu. She believed that Kemi's beauty and kind heart were stopping Tolu from getting the attention she deserved, she wanted her own daughter to be the most loved in the kingdom and she started thinking of how to deal with kemi. One day, Olabisi decided she could not take it anymore. She visited a powerful witch in the dark forest. The witch gave her a special potion and told her to pour it into Kemi's bath water. The potion would cast a spell on Kemi, making her have a terrible body odor that would make everyone run away from her. That night, when everyone was asleep, Olabisi secretly poured the potion into Kemi’s bath water. The next morning, Kemi woke up and took her bath as usual, not knowing about the evil spell. As she walked through the village that morning, she noticed that people were acting strange. Her friends, who usually greeted her with hugs and smiles, stepped back and covered their noses. The young men who used to admire her looked at her with disgust and walked away quickly. Kemi was confused and hurt, she didn't understand why everyone was avoiding her. She then began perceiving some foul odour around her, she smelled so bad that even the flowers in the garden wilted as she walked by. Days turned into weeks, and Kemi's situation only got worse. The terrible smell followed her everywhere. No matter how much she washed or what she did, the odor wouldn’t go away. The villagers avoided her, all her suitors ran away and no man wanted to marry her. Her friends deserted her, and no one wanted to be near her. Kemi felt lonely and sad. She spent most of her days crying in her room, wondering what she had done to deserve such a fate. During festivals, when everyone danced and sang, Kemi stood alone, with tears in her eyes as she watched from a distance. Her friends, who once played and laughed with her, now whispered and giggled behind her back. Despite her loneliness, Kemi remained kind. She helped the old and fed the poor, but no one wanted to be near her because of her body odour. Her stepmother, Olabisi, was happy to see her suffer and made sure no one could find a cure. One day, a hunter named Adewale came to the village. Adewale was brave and had traveled to many lands. He heard stories about the kind princess with a terrible smell and decided to find out the truth for himself. Adewale saw Kemi sitting by the river, crying softly. He approached her, and though the smell was strong, he did not turn away. Instead, he sat beside her and said, "Princess, why do you cry alone by the river?" Kemi looked up in surprise. No one had spoken to her so kindly in a long time. "I am cursed," she said, tears rolling down her cheeks. "My step mother made me have this awful smell, and now everyone hates me." Adewale felt pity for the princess. "I do not hate you, Princess," he said. "I believe there is a way to break this curse. Will you let me help you?" Kemi nodded, hope flickering in her heart for the first time in years. Adewale promised to find a way to lift the curse and set off on a journey to seek help from the wise old woman who lived in the forest. Adewale traveled for days through thick forests and across raging rivers. He fought off wild animals and braved terrible storms. Finally, he reached the small hut where the wise old woman, Mama Efun, lived. Mama Efun was known for her deep knowledge of ancient spells and remedies. When Adewale explained Kemi's plight, Mama Efun nodded gravely. "I have heard of this curse," she said. "It is powerful, but not unbreakable. To lift it, you must find two rare ingredients: the feather of a golden eagle and the heart of a pure white lotus." Adewale thanked Mama Efun and set off once more, determined to gather the ingredients and save Kemi. His first stop was the highest mountains, where the golden eagles nested. Climbing the steep cliffs, he finally reached a nest with a golden eagle. He watched as the eagle preened its feathers, waiting for the perfect moment. When a feather finally fell, Adewale caught it gently and stored it safely. His final task took him to a serene valley where the pure white lotuses bloomed. Finding the heart of a pure white lotus was not easy, as the flowers only opened under the full moon. Adewale waited patiently, and on the night of the full moon, he plucked a lotus heart, careful not to harm the delicate flower. With the two ingredients in hand, Adewale hurried back to Mama Efun's hut. The wise woman mixed the ingredients into a potion and handed it to Adewale. "This will lift the curse," she said. "But you must get Kemi to drink it under the first light of dawn. Will the potion work and lift the curse from Kemi? Will Olabisi try to stop them? Its not like they are refusing..i cant reach tjem. Its an interior village with no network and very far from my present location.. I just felt since it was Nysc that posted me and my allawee was from NYSC, i could go to Nysc for the reference letter instead quote author=Natalie27 post=84782573]if the school is refusing to give you a reference letter, you can approach a staff of the school that most probably supervised you .. you can get a letter from him or her , notarise it , get their work ID as well and explain in your LOE .

Please i need to understand this job experience part well cos am confuse... My work experience is as follows 1 year NYSC experience as a teacher 1 year experience as a paid volunteer in an NGO 6 months experience in an NGO as a field worker (Spent 3 weeks on training (we were paid weekly during the training) and 1 week for Pilot study (paid) before the 6 months work commenced) 5 months as a consultant in another NGO ( not really a straight job, called each tym there is work for us to do, our letter usually state how much we will be paid per day and how many days we are expected to work per month, though we still go to work everyday for the month (usually paid at the end of each month) i.e we were engaged June, worked for 15 days nd paid after d job, engaged again in August, for August and sept (15 days each month), and paid at d end of each month, extension letter was given to us till Nov still 15 days/ month and am also expecting another letter for Dec. So my question now is, how many years of experience can i claim? Should i collect reference letter from NYSC instead of my PPA since it was only NYSC that paid me during that period? Am i suppose to add the 3 weeks training and 1 week pilot (both paid) to my 6 months field work to make it a 7 months experience? |
Can you please assist me with the IELTS materials? am gathering materials to start preparing for mine. It’s ielts victory!! Prior to sitting for ielts, I had read stories about how people got 6.5 in writing and that scared me to death. How I wish I entered the exam hall an ignorant fellow. First sitting, i got all the necessary help from my colleagues at work who had aced this exam earlier. I had prepped like my life depended on it since I so much disliked essay writing back in school. For the record I work 8-8 six days a week but I had to attack this monster with every fiber of my being. I always tried to hurriedly rush home and bury my head deep into my books till midnight. Honestly I don’t think there is any youtube listening and Cambridge practice test I haven’t taken while religiously reading sample essays on ieltsmentor page. I learnt ankasa! (twi) . @Chicyclass came through for me sending me some MOD writing book and I read the book page by page! I wouldn’t be exaggerating if I mention I remember the sentences like a child remembers his favorite rhyme. I sat for the exam for the first time in July Results : LRSW 9 7.5 7.5 6.5 Hmmm 6.5 in writing, as expected cos, I didn’t even read over my essay and I was so much gripped with fear so ... I remarked but it unfortunately returned the same. Instances like these make me wish I knew the future. I’d have saved myself the time, energy and most importantly my funds. Being someone who never threw in the towel so quickly, I registered for the next sitting in 28th September. Time to face this monster again head- on! I saw posts about MOD being “more generous “ with their 7 than BC but I’m Ghanaian and we only have BC so I wasn’t spoilt with choices like my fellow Nigerians. Just have to return to my “dearest” BC, who haven’t in this case been so generous to its beloved.Spoke to @yemblaze who added me to an ielts WhatsApp group and @stencil also sent me ielt materials . Thank you so much ladies. I’m forever grateful. This time, I had to strategize. I decided to learn extensively for the writing so I started with synonyms of common ielts topics from a youtube page which was suggested by someone here. I also contacted @blissnenye to help me with the writing and she made sure I wrote an essay everyday. “An essay a day keeps ielts failure away” lol. Like I mentioned earlier, this was almost like a punishment being meted out actually it was since I hated writing essays. I’d rather prefer reading those online but this lady, “my punisher” ensured I wrote and insisted on it. She was really bent on seeing me do something I hated. I realised It wasn’t just about the money for her but she really had my interest at heart..She tutored me for a week and told me I was good to go. Thank you my Madam @blissnenye. So I Sat for the next sitting on 28th September and this time I wasn’t even looking forward to a better results COs since I had mixed feelings about the listening test. Results day finally came and I had LRS 9 9 7.5 and writing 6.5. Oo God! Not again! Hmmmm of course it would be writing, this devil keeps tearing its ugly head everywhere! What did I expect? I prepared so well so why 6.5 again.? What at all are they looking for?. I put in a request for remarking that same day results were released without taking my test report form. In mind, they should keep it until they gave me my 7. I prayed fervently for a positive outcome. Then on the fateful day of 31/10/2019 , I received a mail. Behold the change I was waiting for had reflected!!! From 6.5 to 7. I was giddy with excitement. Sleep and I had conveniently become enemies that night . if this is how excited it feels to get the required ielts scores then I have not the least of ideas how you all react when you receive PPR mail. Hope to jump, no dive into the pool and then wait for my ITA in the next draw.

Thanks for your responses so far.. Please can i get the CES link/site where i can start with the evaluation?? You evaluate your highest degree which in this case is your master's degree. Your masters can be evaluated by either of these bodies ICES, WES, IQAS and CES. People have been using CES lately because of its faster time-line and WAEC isn't needed. Employment letter only shows proof of work, your reference letter shows proof of work, nature of work, duties, hours of work and the likes. Read more on what a reference letter contains. To the best of my knowledge, I don't think discharge letter can serve as a reference letter.
