PoliticsRe: Middle Belt Won’t Follow North If Nigeria Splits – Jerry Gana by Gravas(m): 12:34pm On Jul 03, 2017
Mujtahida:
Right here on Nairaland I urge all Nairalanders from the South East, South West and deep South to call us what we wish to be called : MIDDLEBELTERS. Jacob changed his name and his destiny changed. We want to change our political destiny and I invite all of you to our political baptism. We are not North Central but Middlebelt. Do not help to consolidate and perpetuate the powers that want to hold this country hostage.
This is imperative. Let us unmask once and for all the powers that want this country to go to pieces.
We say NO to Northern hegemony
We say NO to North Central categorization
We say NO to Fulani herdsmen despoiling farms, killing people in the middle belt and everywhere else in Nigeria
We say NO to those clamping down on the drive to restructure Nigeria and birth a nation.
Let no man think that I hate the North. I don't. I just want a good, just, equitable, developed country. Shikena

I don't see our people being part of the north, not for anything.

What is middlebelt forum? Do you know that hausa/fulani are the second most populated ethnic group that made up the so-called middlebelt? There are indigenous fulanis in kwara, Niger, kogi, nassarawa states. Heck even plateau state have many fulani indigenes. But I bet you don't know this.

Anyway most of you are ignorant. So no surprises here.
Hausas/Fulanis are the second most populated indigenes in MB? Thank you.

Look at the boldness and revelations suddenly coming from the middlebelt that barely spoke. I wonder what gave them that boldness?
Hmmmmm could it be the IPOB?
It is not IPOB. The terrible injustice we hv suffered in d last 2 yrs is more than enough. Our stock of patience which is proverbially inexhaustible hs been completely exhausted. If you hv witnessed hw our people hv bn slaughtered in cold blood like chickens then you wl know what we ar saying. Worst still, inspite of this unjustifiable killings or genocide, you wl never hear the so-called Northern leaders or their spokepersons like the bigot called Prof Ango condemning such attrocities, not to talk of taking proactive measures to stop the attacks. This hs left us wt no other option.

Reading through your post with particular emphasis on the highlighted parts, I'll just suggest that they close down the Diocese and use the parishes as mental health facilities for the Mbaise parishioners.

Your arguments are illogical, incoherent, uncoordinated and opposed to rational thinking.

I have written about it above.
What you have written above is nothing but pure nonsense. Who were the first Catholic Bishops in Nigeria? Were they Nigerians or Whites? You have nothing to argue here. Don't be a disappointment unto yourself and your community. The earlier you tell your people to retrace and refrain from further show of ignorance the better.

Stop talking nonsense here. Do u hear me? Do u even know what is happening in other Catholic Dioceses across Nigeria? The current Bishop of Makurdi was nt serving in Benue State when he ws appointed as Bishop of Makurdi Diocese. The same applies to Gboko Diocese. You people are only displaying high level ignorance. Its very shameful. Its a big disgrace. Stop ranting here.

The DMO needs to enact laws to impose legal limits on states borrowings.
Heck! some states are becoming bankrupt with huge, unservicible debts (if not already).
Yet they keep borrowing.
Very true. Instead of looking for ways to boost their IGRs, State Governors hv developed a penchant for borrowing, thereby putting successive administrations in a very difficult position. Something needs to be done ASAP, else, some States will soon go bankrupt.

the killing will stop soon
It should better stop. And nt only dat, the perpetrators and their sponsors/supporters should be made to face justice for crimes committed. Anything short of this is totally unacceptable. As for me, no matter hw long it takes, i must one day avenge the blood of innocent Benue people slaughtered in cold blood by terrorists called fulani herdsmen. This is no joke. Even the Almighty wl be on my side to avenge the killings. No crime wl go unpunished. I know where i wl start when the time comes. Sooner or later we wl get there.

GworoChewinMaga:
Benue people took it upon themselves to kill Igbos and other southerners residing in their midst back in 1966 and 1967.

Benue contributed the highest amount of foot soldiers in the war to keep nijeriya one.

Recently, Benue people came out en mass to vote the grand patron of Miyetti Allah's cattle breeders association in the form of Buhari and his APC.
Are you sure this isn't karma?
That was then! Even you were nt born at dat time. I wrote something about dat on NL sometime ago. I said dat, our fathers may hv fought against Biafra during d civil war bt these days, the game hs changed completely. You can't continue to live in d past. If Biafra is to be granted, and should a referendum be conducted on whether MB wl go wt Biafra or stay wt Arewa, the North wl witness d greatest shock of their lives. We the present generation wl rather pitch our tent wt Biafra than wt Arewa. Simple.

@Kyase. Terkimbi01.
My good brothers, i thank u so much for the efforts. It seems our political leaders hv chosen to take side with our killers in order to protect their political interests. However, we the youths wl nt support such shamelessness. It hs bn my honest position dat, the systematic genocide taking place in Benue State and other Central Regions, is pushing the country to the brink of disunity.
On the issue of Orkar, he failed as a result of alcoholic influence. He ws drunk and so could nt coordinate himself. It was very unfortunate.

Violence is a crime in all ramifications. But convincing people to recall a senator is not a crime. The affidavit said Mr Tope was told to "Convince" people (Mr Tope's words not mine) and that my friend is not a crime.

Also he said he was told to give people 500 after they agreed, not before they agreed so they were not "induced".
Kudos.

You are very ignorant. Define electoral violence.
No am not. You just need to go through the recall guidelines. The last time i checked, one of the guidelines says after submitting signatures, INEC will embark on a verification exercise to ascertain whether the signatures are real or fake. This is what we are talking about here. And i will appreciate highly if you will not quote me again. Thanks.
PoliticsRe: DINO MELAYE RECALL: Man Swears He Was Given 20k To Forge Signatures ( Affidavit) by Gravas(m): 10:11am On Jun 30, 2017
AZeD1:
Read the affidavit very well, he says the person who gave him the money said he should "Convince"people to append their signatures. Also, unless he can prove what he said in court (Ward chairman giving him money, telling him to forge signatures) Tope is on his own.
Immediately i saw the word 'convince', i say Dino is gone. If people were actually convinced to sign, there is no crime. They were not forced. No wonder Dino has been very restless. He learnt reliably that those signatures are real not forged. The people who coordinated that project deserve a hand of aplause. It is not easy. Those swearing affidavits are putting themselves into trouble.

Please INEC proceed with the verification of the voters signatures, if it's genuine just do the needful by booting him out of senate chamber and if it's not kindly do the needful also . DINO MELAYE and false alarm since the recall process has started are like 5 and 6 grin
Now, i know why Dino is getting restless! The signatures are real not fake. They are genuine. This is what matters. Oh Dino is gone!! Chei.
