pro2010: Lets be realistic, nobody is going to empower us, we have to empower ourselves. Power was never served on a platter of gold, power is taken by force. We must struggle for this power and stop playing the victim, we are young, strength is with us, we outnumber them, we must stop begging for pity and waiting for help that would never come and act now! Talk to your friends and enemies (we are doomed to the same fate anyway) let the desire to kick out this oppressors unify us for now (we can keep quarreling afterwards) but the salient issue here to is do away with the beggerly mentality, we have a choice...we have the numbers, numbers win elections! Am from Central Nigeria. If i tell you my uncle is a politician and a billonaire while am hustling, you won't even believe. I hv never gone to him to beg for change. Am a PG. But out of my state of origin. Am down here in Southern Nigeria. He knows am against the evil Machiavellian politics they are practising. |

phylshan: Don't mind Fulani. It beats my imagination the president said those attacking farmers were foreigners, now his Fulani brothers have claimed responsibility and he has kept mute all this while. What sort of a leader is this one? Because you are the president your brothers can kill anybody at will right? You hv hit a very good point up there. The FG hs consistently denied that those behind the killings ar Nigerians. Now, we know better. By now, Ortom should be regretting his ill advised decision to appoint the fool called Gololo or Gilolo, into BNSG as Adviser on Fulani Affairs. Whoever advised him to take this decision is daft. |

This is a serious env issue that needs priority attention. The FG, SHELL and UNEP should cooperate on this issue so that, the necessary remediation measures will be taken. The clean-up was flagged off about 2 yrs ago by the FGN. But since then, the clean up operation is yet to commence. If only the partners in this project hv genuine interest & concern for the welfare of the affected people and the environment, the issue of logistics wud hv bn timely resolved. By now, contractors wud hv mobilised to affected sites. The training of personnel (responders) wud hv bn done speedily, taking into consideration, the negative environmental impact of the oil spill as it affects both life and property. Our govt seems to care less about the masses. If am the President of this country, hw wl i go to sleep wt my 2 eyes closed when an issue of this magnitude is staring at me? Bt no, they don't really care. I blame OBJ @ PDP so much for ignoring the sufferings of people affected by the oil spill. Ogoni leaders shud ACT! |

MARSONE: We can make do with a 40 years old intelligent president which will be way better than what we have had over the years and I am pretty sure that before 2019, it will be brought down to 30 years. God will see us through in this our divine self determination to rule ourselves amen. Great thinking. Now this is what is called positive thinking. Can i send u pm? |

MARSONE: surely we will connect in real time bro. the burning desire to change this nation is long over due. We really do not need them (old recycled leaders) they need us. We have the numbers and technical know how. When we increase this momentum from now till 2019, there will surely be a paradigm shift in Nigeria then Africa., I hv bn awake throughout this night. Thinking about Nigeria project. There is just no sleep in my eyes. Am seriously worried about issues in our country. Things have to change. It is our duty to bring about desirable changes. |

I hv bn following the issue of Biafra on NL Forum since 2015 on my other handle. The current NASS should work on our Constitution by way of amendment, to address issues like secession, referendum, system of govt etc. Personally, i feel we should reverse back to the Parliamentary System. The current Presidential System does not favour this country. |

MARSONE: My dear it gives me so much joy to see that there are people with the mindset of a better Nigeria like yourself. Many youths in Nigeria have settled for what we call the recurrent lie. ''a lie often told settles as truth to the victim (receiver). If it is possible to send man to the moon then its possible to have a 30-45 years old Nigerian president in 2019. The movement has started.
When it happens in Nigeria, other African countries will follow suit. that is the dream. Am happy u hv raised this issue. Just take a little time and check my posts on my profile. Am intending to raise up this very issue. I even stated in one of my posts on another thread. It is a wonderful coincidence that young, vibrant, articulate and scientific minds are thinking the same thoughts. The wind of change started in 2015 in this country but nt many seem to realize. People wl b shocked come 2019. Am optimistic and enthusiastic abt this issue. Pls, i need to connect wt u. |

I think it is always good to critically scrutinize and analyze issues before coming up with conclusions. Sometimes, people don't get all the facts before taking stands on issues. Senate should sit up in the area of public enlightenment and sensitization on national issues to avoid backlash from the public. |

MARSONE: We need people like you in their 1000s to drive home the youth agenda for the youths. The youths have a larger stake and should be allowed to lead themselves. The time s now as we have been short changed for too long. #30-45forNigerinaspresident2019# I hv bn making a case for youths' involvement/participation in politics. Bt u know what? The response frm those around me usually sends a chilling shock down my spinal cord. They ar of d view dat, politics is such a dirty/dangerous game they can't get into it, at least for now. Their long term plan is to get job, raise a family, become financially established, etc. The idea of politics is after retirement when they ar 60 or 70. They ar nt jst ready! Infact, they ar afraid. You hv correctly stated dat, the old men in politics ar behaving anyhow bc they hv nothing at stake! The analogy of landlord is quite fitting. As youths, our future is at stake! Let's take up our destiny. This shud b a mandate. Am with u. |

Even if he survives recall, he will not stay beyond 2019. He is not fit to be there in the first place. It was a mistake. But will be corrected in 2019. Many rode their way into govt at the back of PMB. But come 2019, everyone will bear his own cross. Butterfly will not sail across the river sitting on the back of an elephant. |

Kyase: Ortom, the talkative, the man with one ball, wait and see nothing will happen. Nonsense. Angom! Pls, let's be optimistic and also support and encourage the Gov for the efforts in this regard. It is not going to be easy but i can see light at the end of the tunnel. This is what i keep posting; that the Gov should choose between the people that elected him and the powers that be. Now, he is acting like a leader. To everything under the sun, there is an appointed end. Truth shall prevail. |
