Uche Okwukwu is no doubt among the few Ikwerres that are intelligent and smart. However, the problem is that his likes from that place are in the minority. As an influential Ikwerre indigene, he should go to his people and talk sense into them. Personally, I have written them off and concluded they're not Igbo and don't see them as such based on their attitude over the years.

For the records, Ikwerre needs the larger Igbo race more than Igbos will ever need the Ikwerre. Forget about the claims of Ikwerre saving us from being landlocked, Obehie in Abia State is probably closer to the Atlantic ocean than P.H, so where is the advantage? However, on the contrary, Ikwerre need Igbos to be able to protect themselves against the Ijaws. They need the Igbos to excape the tag of minority status. They need Igbos for crucial connections both within and outside Nigeria. If Ikwerre attaches themselves to Igbos they become influential but once they're distinct as a minute minority, they become vulnerable and insignificant.

Unfortunately for them, they don't own P.H exclusively, they share it some Ijoid groups thus giving Ijaws a foothold in the city. Without Igbos being there for them, the Ijaws will easily overrun them and subdue them in P.H.

I'm even happy that Wike came out openly to claim he is not Igbo and also claimed the Ikwerres are not Igbo. When he said it, his people didn't call him to order. We have recorded it for posterity pending when they would need us in the future.

Lastly, people are mistaken the quest for SE presidency to Igbo presidency. Every other region has ruled except the SE, so equity and fairness requires that the next president should be from the SE.
