greatnaija01: Phone touch OR TORCH? which is it. ? because this is not ordinary at all I am sure he meant phone torch. This is simply because there is a warning from safety precautions that there are spectral lines (invincible) which are likely to cause a fire outbreak especially if a call should get through to the phone while in use. Even though I long knew this, but I am still guilty as at yesterday. Hmmmm! but what a lesson. |

I got down to go beg her but instead she just answered OK,! and turned back home. I am sure she cancelled where she was going that day. |

neoclassical: I woke up this morning with the news that FCSC has shortlisted lists of successful candidates in the ongoing recruitment exercise by the Commission in various Federal Ministries.
Succinctly, I have a friend who studied Business Administration with 3rd Class, while I have Msc and Bsc (2.1) all in Economics. Both of us applied for the same position (SGL 09) in the Ministry of Trade & Investment. Perhaps, to my greatest perplexity, this guy's name was shortlisted while mine was conspicuously missing. Just a few minutes ago he opened up to me that the father made "some calls" on his behalf prior to this time.
For your information, we are of the same age bracket, applied for same position, from the same State. So what criteria could have been used to disqualify someone with Msc and Bsc (2.1) and someone with a 3rd Class was selected.
Holding other factors constant, I am so happy for him and I am so expectant that mine is coming. But this has kept me in an awe position, as the whole scenario depicts lack of correlation between merit and success in this entity called Nigeria. WHAT A COUNTRY? So help us God! why are u talking like this, especially like u are a foreigner? In Nigeria, it has always been man know man.

PrettyCrystal: According to legal Practitioner and Human Rights activist, Inibehe Effiong, these men were allegedly tortured and maltreated by the police for demand the payment of their late parents' entitlements from Governor Udom Emmanuel and the Akwa Ibom State Government.
Read what was shared by the lawyer on his Facebook page.
The three arrested, detained and arraigned next-of-kin of late primary school teachers in Akwa Ibom State 1991-date after their released yesterday following the perfection of their bail conditions. They are Benjamin Benson, Eno Kenneth and Utibe Sunday.
One of them, Eno Kenneth (far left) has informed me that he is NOT seeing clearly with his right eye owing to severe torture by men of the Nigeria Police Force, Akwa Ibom State Command. As you can see from the photos their hairs were shaved, against their wish.
They were harassed, tortured, intimidated, teargased and treated like common criminals by agents of the State for daring to demand the payment of their late parents' entitlements from Governor Udom Emmanuel and the Akwa Ibom State Government.
This impunity will not go unchallenged.

Phones › Re: Do Smartphones Really Charge Faster In Airplane Mode? by Great504: 7:39am On Jan 28, 2017 |
Calmzin: If you're a heavy-duty smartphone user — which includes just about everybody these days, since the average Nigerians spends 4.7 hours a day gazing at and tapping that little screen — you know how agonizing it is to have to stop looking at cat videos for a while and plug your phone into a charger to replenish the battery. And some phones can take hours to charge. But you can reduce your separation anxiety a bit by following this tip: While charging, switch your phone to airplane mode, so that the phone won't slow down the process by continually burning energy trying to connect with cell phone towers and plot your location with its GPS function. This trick actually works, and so dependably that mobile provider Verizon recommends it. The reason why is that while your phone is in its regular mode, it's continually trying to signal cell towers and pinpoint your location. And even though your phone most likely has assisted GPS, which calculates your location coordinates using the cellphone network rather than satellites, the function still burns up a lot of juice . That's because the location-finding stops your phone from going into full-on, energy-saving sleep mode. When you switch to airplane mode, you turn off reception of those radio transmissions, and as a result, your phone charges more quickly. When CNET tested the proposition a few years ago, airplane mode shaved four minutes off a phone's charging time in one trial, and 11 minutes in another. It could be faster or whatever, but when I tried it, it made my phone to mal - function that I had to restart it for a proper reset. Since then, I'd never tried it again. |

RiversWatchDog: Source:- http://thearticleng..com.ng/2017/01/freeze-says-apostle-suleiman-should.html
Controversial OAP Freeze has reacted to Apostle Suleiman's video where he said he has instructed his security men to kill any Fulani herdsman they see around him or his church premises.
Suleiman had made that statement after someone warned him an attack was being planned against him.
However, Freeze says he expects Apostle Suleiman to apologise for the hateful and insinuating statement. Read his argument below and let's know if you agree with Freeze.
Happy Sunday dearies. Hope y'all are back from church or ready to go? Which one?
Freeze wrote on his page:
If we cut their heads, what makes us different from the Boko Haram and ISIS terrorists we are complaining about? We should be 'Christ like' as Christians. ----- I respect Apostle Suleiman a lot for his giving spirit, and expect him to apologise for this hateful and insinuating statement. It's human to err and what's happening in Southern Kaduna is sad and infuriating! ----- IN ALL FAIRNESS, CHRISTIANS HAVE A RIGHT TO BE ANGRY! ----- However, instead of fueling the hate, let's neutralise it with love. Remember, when fighting a fire, the fire service usually uses water. FRZ ----- Matthew Chapter 26 verse 50: Jesus replied, “Do what you came for, friend.” Then the men stepped forward, seized Jesus and arrested him. 51: With that, one of Jesus’ companions reached for his sword, drew it out and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear. 52: “Put your sword back in its place,” Jesus said to him, “for all who draw the sword will die by the sword.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BPiLt1vlm0o/?hl=en If you are using the Scripture, please use it appropriately. Jesus arrest had been written in Heaven. It is what has been planned for His life which was unknown to His disciples who wanted to fight back. It was part of His purposes on earth. Comparing to happenings now, it has not been written that the Christians should perish from the hands of the Fulani's, Boko haram or whatever. It was God that first cursed His enemies in the Bible," let God arise and His enemies be scattered". Suffer a witch not to live and I like to add, and all witchcraft's acts .Besides, if you don't stop them, they will stop you. |

tk4rd: Real Life Story.....®
Ezra and Thomas joined a company together a few months after their graduation from university.
After a few years of work, their Manager promoted Ezra to a position of Senior Sales Manager, but Thomas remained in his entry level Junior Sales Officer position. Thomas developed a sense of jealousy and disgruntlement, but continued working anyway.
One day Thomas felt that he could not work with Ezra anymore. He wrote his resignation letter, but before he submitted it to the Manager, he complained that Management did not value hard working staff, but only promoted only the favoured!
The Manager knew that Ezra worked very hard for the years he had spent at the company; even harder than Thomas and therefore he deserved the promotion. So in order to help Thomas to realize this, the Manager gave Thomas a task.
“Go and find out if anyone is selling water melons in town?”
Thomas returned and said, "yes there is someone!"
The Manager asked, "how much per kg?" Thomas drove back to town to ask and then returned to inform the Manager; "they are R13.50 per kg!"
The Manager told Thomas, "I will give Ezra the same task that I gave you. Please pay close attention to his response!"
So the Manager said to Ezra, in the presence of Thomas; “Go and find out if anyone is selling water melons in town?”
Ezra went to find out and on his return he said: "Manager, there is only one person selling water melons in the whole town. The cost is R49.00 each water melon and R32,50 for a half melon. He sells them at R13.50 per kg when sliced. He has in his stock 93 melons, each one weighing about 7kg. He has a farm and can supply us with melons for the next 4 months at a rate of 102 melons per day at R27.00 per melon; this includes delivery. The melons appear fresh and red with good quality, and they taste better than the ones we sold last year. He has his own slicing machine and is willing to slice for us free of charge. We need to strike a deal with him before 10am tomorrow and we will be sure of beating last year's profits in melons by R223 000.00. This will contribute positively to our overall performance as it will add a minimum of 3.78% to our current overall sales target. I have put this information down in writing and is available on spreadsheet. Please let me know if you need it as I can send it to you in fifteen minutes."
Thomas was very impressed and realized the difference between himself and Ezra. He decided not to resign but to learn from Ezra.
As we begin this fresh year, let this story help us keep in mind the importance of going an extra mile in all our endeavors.
You won't be rewarded for doing what you're meant to do, you only get a salary for that! You're only rewarded for going an extra mile; performing beyond expectations.
To be successful in life you must be observant, proactive and willing to do more, think more, a more holistic perspective and go beyond the call of duty.
May you be blessed with a better perspective to your work this year.
*Greater life needs this mentality of going an extra mile, As Husband's, mothers, children; Let's go an extra mile in all our endeavour..
Let us always have this in our minds... .. The reason why employers do not workers is that workers do only what they are told to do.. They don't put in their own initiatives.. Investors put in whatever it takes wherever they are, even if they find themselves as employees, or an entrepreneurs or self-employed.. They go extra miles to get things "Better done".. That is why employers love investors.
Have a blessed day. thanks. It's highly informative. |

Medley: This year NCC introduced the DND (Do-Not-Disturb service to network ooerators that enables customers to opt out from receiving promotional messages from Networks which you nay not know that it sometimes affect third parties who send bulk SMS's as Nd other VAS promotion s. Some subscribers even complain that their lines have been automatically activated for the Do-Not-Disturb service pending when they choose to deactivate it.
This is what you must do to check if your line is being limited by DND.
Text STATUS TO 2442 To know your status on the DND service.
I know how it feels like as a job seeker, you have just sent a killer cover letter and an impressive curriculum vitae for that dream job and you just got information from others that applied for the same job that they've started recieving invite for assessment and you are, earnestly waiting and longing for your own invite, and behold the message finally comes, you were very eager and curious to check but to your surprise it was yet as another MTN message, requesting you to recharge your line with N500 from your GTB account, when you are still struggling to recharge N100 or another SMS requesting you to subscribe for cooking tips on how to make EBA without using turning stick, sharply out of annoyance, you activated the block all messages on the Do-Not-Disturb service.
What this may have caused you may be far regrettable from missing one invite out of the numerous applications that you have sent.
Companies and recruiting firms have found out that messages sent to some mobile phones of recent are not always received by applicants. The reason for this is because majority of them have subscribed for the FULL blocking mode in the Do-Not-Disturb service and you know its not all companies that sends email invite as some prefers sending SMS's to their job applicants, especially when it is on short notice or impromptu or if that's their mode of operation.
Don't think the DND service is an opportunity for you to say the long awaiting bye bye to your service provider disturbing messages, you may be the one at loss even if you are not a Job seeker.
Consider opting out by sending ALLOW to 2442, or text help to 2442 I have tried to reactivate it again, but I have been finding it difficult to do. If you know the right codes to reactivate, please, share. Once again, thanks @ op. |
