Though it may sound like a nollywood movie but it happen in Asaba.
It happens on Sunday afternoon, a 42-year-old woman identified as Monica engaged her teenage daughter in a street fight after she allegedly snatched her boyfriend.
According to an eyewitness, the street brawl caught the attention of a curious crowd at abusy road opposite St Brigid's Girls College in Asaba on Sunday.
The mother was alleged to have snatched the daughter's boyfriend, who works in one of the oil companies in Warri. The17yrs old daughter became very furious when she heard that her boyfriend was caught pants down with her mother in an hotel in the state. The trouble between the mother and her daughter became aggravated when the lover boy began to act in a strange manner towards the girl.
During the public fight, the daughter was said to have called the mother a shameless woman and a prostitute, who drove the father out of the house with her unbridled quest for sex.
Speaking to the Leadership correspondent at the scene, a relation of the woman, who did not want her name in the print, blamed the situation on her sister, whom she said disappointed women folk, especially mothers.

He is contesting for a seat in the Lagos State House of Representatives. He gave his reasons for joining politics to the Nigerian Tribune.

A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Mi-35 Helicopter on a training mission has crashed Monday afternoon in Borno State, North East of the country with two of the three crew members confirmed dead.

This was contained in a statement, Monday, signed by the Director of Defence Information (DDI), Maj-Gen. Chris Olukolade.

According to him, the NAF Helicopter crashed due to technical fault at a location South of Bama, but the Pilot was fortunate to have survived.

“One of the pilots of the crashed helicopter has been recovered alive while the second one as well as the technician on board the three member crew flight died in the crash…”, he said.

Olukolade said investigation has already commenced to unravel the circumstances that led to the accident.

According to the Boko Haram source, former President Obasanjo had made first contact with Yusuf’s in-lawal, Babakura Fuggu [eldest son of Yusuf's in-law] in early September 2012 concerning opening a channel of dialogue with the terrorist group. The leadership of the group took it uneasy with the choice of Babakura – [since the line of leadership did not automatically follow family lineage as in traditional settings. As a 'religious' group they did not see Babakura as the rightful person to take over from Yusuf.] For this reason, the leadership of the group ‘silently’ objected to the meeting between Babakura and Obasanjo.

Nigerian Actress Afrocandy Asks Fans To Pay Money, N7000 For Audition

Nigerian actress turned soft p*rn star Judith Opara who took to the web to solicit for donation because of financial trouble few months back is in the news again.

After allegedly spending all her money on a soft po*n movie that got banned in Nigeria, Afrocandy has started soliciting for money again and this time around in form of audition.

She is calling on all desperate wannabe movie stars to pay her N7000 each as registration fee for auditions for her upcoming movie.

4 Nigerians make d list, Good one.

In the recent past, it has become something of a sport for various organisations to come up with list of richest entertainers, using various parameters most convenient to them.
And more often than not, their publications are either greeted with disbelief, outrage and even scorn. If not from the persons concerned, it comes from the members of the public.
There has never been a time a published list of the richest African musicians was welcomed with widespread acceptability.

Even when Channel O and Forbes came up with a top ten list of richest African musicians, presumably using factors such as endorsement value, popularity, show rates, sales, awards, YouTube views, appearance in newspaper, investment, social media presence, influence and so many other factors, many people still did not believe they got it spot on.

Now, an African online magazine known as Answers Africa has done its own findings, using pretty much the same parameters as Forbes and here is what they came up with. Compare it with Forbes list and see which one is nearer the mark:

1. Youssou N’dour:The legendary Senegalese singer born in 1959 tops the list. He is said to own biggest media houses in Senegal, including radio and TV stations. He has served as Senegalese cultural ambassador and culture minister .Note; not on Forbes list.

2. P-Square: The singing duo of Peter and Paul sit in the second position according to Answers Africa on account of their various endorsements and returns on shows and tours. They are said to make over 150 thousand dollars per show. Their Ikeja crib is valued at 3M dollars.Note: Rated third on Forbes’ list.
