Jokes EtcThe Preacher And The Drunk: by greateliso(op): 1:00am On Jan 05, 2010
Before our pastor gets to the subject matter of his sermon, he usually captures the attention of our congregation by telling a joke or funny story. I had heard this one before but found it as funny as the first time I heard it:

One evening a preacher held a country-type baptism. This is where those desiring baptism are submerged into a shallow pond. Quite often, many people gather around either to be baptized or to watch with curiosity at the baptism. On this occasion a drunk man wandered up to the scene, and stood next to the preacher.

The preacher unknowingly dunked the drunk into the water, then quickly brought him up. He said to the drunk, "Did you find the Holy Spirit?"

The drunk shook his head and said, "No."

The preacher then dunked him and again repeated, "Did you find the Holy Spirit?"

Again the drunk shook his head. The preacher then dunked him a third time, only held his head underwater for about 30 seconds.

The preacher then brought the struggling drunk up and, as before, he repeated the question, "Did you find Him yet?"

The drunk finally caught his breath, shook his head and answered, "Are you sure you lost him in this spot?"

Jokes EtcThe New Pastor: by greateliso(op): 12:49am On Jan 05, 2010
A new pastor was visiting in the homes of his parishioners.

At one house it seemed obvious that someone was at home, but no answer came to his repeated knocks at the door. Therefore, he took out a business card and wrote 'Revelation 3:20' on the back of it and stuck it in the door.

When the offering was processed the following Sunday, he found that his card had been returned.

Added to it was this cryptic message, 'Genesis 3:10.'

Reaching for his Bible to check out the citation, he broke up in gales of laughter. Revelation 3:20 begins 'Behold, I stand at the door and knock.'

Genesis 3:10 reads, 'I heard your voice in the garden and I was afraid for I was naked.'
RomanceRe: Is It Compulsory To Wash Your Husband's Clothes? by greateliso(m): 11:27am On Jan 04, 2010
Meldrick:
Iam baffled seeing posts that tag washing a husband's clothes as old fashioned. When has laziness to wash your husband's clothes with your hands become civilization or mordenity? Lazy women will always talk dry-cleaning but a prudent wife will utilize the weekend doing the washing of her clothes and her husband's clothes. The money that would have been wasted on dry-cleaning will be put to better use but the lazy ones who complain about time spend their week ends visiting friends and gossiping.
he is right.

@laurachi
she is not meant to be slave girl, but doing the washing is her duty.

RomanceRe: I Just Found Out She Did Abortion Twice Before We Met. by greateliso(m): 10:52pm On Dec 21, 2009
GL:
what happened to dr-patient confidentiality? the dr should be sued, this is so wrong. he had no business telling you about your girlfriend's abortions.

she's also wrong for hiding it from u, but if u love her u should be able to overlook what she did before she met u. it's not like she was cheating on u. afterall, u must have dated other girls before her also.

to those guys saying the girl lived a rough life, i wont be surprised if some of u have made girls abort one or more babies for u. it's no secret that many nigerian girls have to abort multiple pregnancies for one guy, and eventually the guy ends up breaking up with them. u can't say a girl who was faithful to one guy for several years lived a rough life. she simply allowed her guy take advantage of her.
somehow right
