Of course, I have seen and experienced both worlds first-hand, and I have come to realize that Nigeria is not as bad as we all assume, if only we pay our fair share. I have seen how developed/western countries are able to afford what we call the 'basic amenities', and I have come to the conclusion that for Nigeria to also experience this type of greatness, things definitely have to change. We want jobs, good health facilities, good roads, etc. These things don't happen by miracle. The develop/western worlds tax every cents their citizen makes. In the US, if you're selling your car, both seller and buyer have to pay tax. Does that happen in Nigeria? Aside paying tax from your salary, you pay tax on every single thing you buy or sell. You pay rent, you still have to pay tax on it. You pay your regular bills, you still have to pay taxes on it. Every damn thing is taxed. A chunk of your paycheck goes towards taxes and social security. You can buy gas at $4 per gallon in the morning, when you go back to that same gas station in 10 minutes, it might be selling for $4.50 for same one gallon... you don't have any option than to buy.

So guy, this is not a matter of being an agbadorian or obidient or whatever it's called, I just want Nigeria to work. This is what we all should pray for. We should pray for our birth country to work and also be better and developed like the western countries.

US debt is over $30 trillion dollars, compared to Nigeria's $103.1 billion dollars. The US loan to GDP is over 128%, compared to Nigeria's 32%. What in your mind do you think the US government do with it's loan?

In 2022, Chile with a population of 19 million realized over $68 billion USD from taxes alone, compared with Nigeria with a population of over 200 million, ten times the size of Chile, realized only $22 billion USD.... and that's the highest in our history. How is it fair to compare both countries?

Don't get me wrong. I have never for once said Chile is not a good country and I have never or will never criticize your move to Chile, NEVER. No one should decide for anyone how to plan their life. We all should be free to make our decisions. I only feel it's unfair to compare Nigeria to Chile... and calling Nigeria a shithole is really not patriotic. Like you stated earlier, Chile has the lowest emigration... that's patriotism. They are paying their fair share and staying back to see their country works.

You are an agbadorian too grin grin grin. I guess you dont live in Nigeria. Like I have said since 2020, I give you guys till November grin grin. Reforms my ass

Just last month here, Brazil introduced and the house passed a new tax reform on VAT. Few years ago, a new reform on pension was passed. You want to go there because life is better there than Nigeria. But you forget that the Brazilians are making this tough and unpopular reforms. So why are you against the Nigerian government making same reforms? Why calling people supporting the reforms 'agbadorians'? How do you think we will be able to achieve economic progress without a holistic approach? HOW?

Why do you think it's okay to buy gas for over a dollar per litre in Chile, but you think it's a crime to buy same gas for less than a dollar in Nigeria? but yet you're calling same Nigeria a shithole. How do you think the government will be able to afford the basic amenities for over 200 million of its citizens without raising taxes? You think it's okay to pay high taxes in Chile, but think it's a scam to pay same in Nigeria too, but yet, you want same development. This is common sense.
tensazangetsu20:

Brazil was my first choice. I was actually going to go to Brazil in 2020 till I got my first job in tech and decided to chill a bit in naija and save more money. My goal was and is the US and a Chilean passport makes it very easy. Mexico was also there as they are eligible for TN visa too.

Brazil got their independence in 1822, while Nigeria got hers in 1960. There is a clear difference. But in all honesty, will you prefer to live in Brazil?

Does Brazil subsidize gas and energy? What's Brazil's tax rate? Don't they pay for social security tax too, separate from the regular tax? Do we have these in Nigeria?

Like I said before, if we start paying our fair share, we will get there! These things didn't just happened overnight. These people went through tough and painful reforms to get where they are today. We should also do the same.
tensazangetsu20:

Isn't Brazil the same population as Nigeria? Why can't Nigeria be like Brazil?

Chile's population is just a little bit over 19 million and over 200k of that is living in the US alone. Nigeria has a population of over 200 million. If you compare that by percentage, how can you say Chile has a low emigration? This is simple arithmetic. Chileans don't go anywhere but yet almost 200k for yankee alone? Public transportation is very cheap but how much is the gas? Is the gas cheaper in Chile vs Nigeria?

Lagos population alone is more than Chile. So they have the jobs, amenities, etc to go round the citizens. Our population is a curse to us, not a blessing. Nigeria's population is ten times that of Chile. So how do you even start the comparism? What sense does that even make?
tensazangetsu20:

Switzerland is rich and successful yet there's swiss people everywhere. Chile has one of the lowest emigration rates in the world. Even lower than Switzerland. This is easily verifiable data online. Whether there's 200k chileans in the us or not doesn't reduce Chiles emigration rate. Chileans don't go anywhere. You don't need a car in Chile. Public transportation is very cheap and efficient.

You see, when I said getting a job, I specifically said outside both countries, and wasn't talking about the work visa. Go for interviews vs a Chilean, then you will know. I mean go for interviews in the US as a Nigerian vs Chilean, they don't even come close, not by a 100 miles. I wasn't taking about your rent with all tariffs.... oh I forgot, you aren't working yet... so you won't understand what I meant by taxes and social security tax... and oh, you don't have a car yet, so you don't actually buy gas. If Chile is that good and better, and people don't migrate, there shouldn't be almost 200k Chileans living in the US alone.... what about other countries we don't even know?
tensazangetsu20:

My rent comes with all tariffs included. Nothing to complain about. You don't pay taxes till you earn up to a certain amount which is quite high. A lot of minimum wage earners here don't pay taxes.

Oh, I guess I didn't see you mentioned h1b1 for Chileans, my bad for that. and FYI, Nigerians don't have to struggle to get h1b visa... the h1b process is same for all candidates, irrespective of your country. It's not a matter of believe what you want, it's a matter of setting the record straight, don't come here giving wrong impression and information. Enjoy your stay in 'heavenly' Chile. I haven't seen you complain about the cost of living, gas, electricity, etc.... but you are quick to condemn Nigeria... you haven't addressed the tax issue, neither did you make mention of what they have to pay separately for the social programs you're praising. We should learn to criticize constructively. You are enjoying Chile today because their citizens already paid their fair share. Why don't we try that In Nigeria too?
tensazangetsu20:

Men the same argument again. You guys won't sit down and read. There's a difference between h1b and h1b1. Gerrard59 has broken it down here múltiple times. You guys just skip that and come and yarn yarn and yarn. Chochocho grin grin. Believe whatever you want. I don't care

You are very wrong... again, don't argue what you don't know. H1B visa outside both countries is obtainable irrespective of the country you're from. What's important is if the company employing find you worthy. All the company need do is apply for the visa, again, irrespective of the country. I have a lot of Chileans where I work dude, don't say what you don't know. You are only limited to what you know, same applies to me, and everyone else.

FYI.. there are over 172k Chileans in the US alone... dude, stop your misleading arguments.
tensazangetsu20:

Lol a Nigerian will never get a job before a Chilean anywhere. Stand before american companies, stand before companies in Canada. Stand before companies in Europe. The Chilean comes first. Chileans don't need LMIA to work in Canada. Nigerians do. Chileans have h1b1 for the US, Nigerians have to slug it out with everyone else in h1b. Chile has working holiday visa with every country in the EU and Australia. Nigerians don't. Chileans only need to live in Spain for two years to be Spanish citizens. Nigerians need 10 years. A Nigerian will never get a job ahead of a Chilean anywhere. Chileans don't even leave Chile. The country has one of the lowest emigration rates in the world. Chileans don't travel anywhere

You didn't do your bachelors in Nigeria doesn't mean others didn't. 90% of graduates in Nigeria had their first degree or bachelors from a Nigerian university, paying little to nothing in tuition. A single course in a US university costs more than the total I spent from my kindergaten to my final year in the university.

Look at my post again, I said outside Nigeria and Chile. How many jobs have you applied for from outside Nigeria? Don't say what you don't know. A Nigerian will get a job ahead of his Chilean counterpart outside both countries. It's a fact, not a myth.

Chile got their independence in 1810, compared to Nigeria's independence in 1960... compare the years in between.
tensazangetsu20:

dude, congrats on your Chile journey. I see you've worked pretty hard for this, and voila, your hard work paid off. That is to show that there is a reward for every hard work we put into what we have passion for.

I have gone through your "Memoirs from Chile" posts since you started it, and I'm not really impressed with how you're denigrating your country of birth (Nigeria) as against your new-found country (Chile). You calling Nigeria a shithole and all that and using disparaging words (agbadorians) on your fellow citizen is uncalled for. You can pass your information intelligently without resorting to unfair criticism of Nigeria and Nigerians. It's not even up to a month you moved to Chile, and you're already telling everyone how it's the next best thing to heaven. Yes, Chile might be better than Nigeria in a million ways, but Nigeria is not hell either. In one of your posts, you claimed to know Chile very well cos of the things you've read online before moving down there and maybe from one or two friends you have there. That is not reality bro, not at all. Reality is you being there and experiencing things first hand. You have a bachelors in Marine Engineering from a Nigeria University. How much in total did you spend in tuition to get the certificate? Can you compare that to the cost of obtaining same degree from a Chilean University? How much are you currently paying for your study there at the moment? I believe you are one of the people up in arms when subsidy was removed by this present administration. Can you tell us how much a litre of gas/fuel cost in Chile even though they are a oil producing nation like Nigeria? How about the cost of energy/electricity? Is the cost of electricity in Chile not about 5 times the cost in Nigeria? Yes, their minimum wage is way higher than Nigeria, but can you tell us the rate of their currency compared to the USD? You make it seems like you never benefited nothing from the 'shithole' Nigeria. How about health care? Is their public healthcare any better than the 'shithole' Nigeria? I agree with you, some of their universities might be in the top 10 or 100 or have better ranking than Nigerian Universities, but I can tell you this for free, we are more smarter and better academically than Chileans. Go outside Nigeria and Chile for a job, the Nigerian candidate will get the job first before the Chilean is considered, 100% fact.. Even though our University curriculum is a little bit outdated and the learning environment is tough, these helps us get better at what we do than most other countries with better education system. This is why you see someone that graduated with a third class in a Nigeria University graduating with a first class in a western country.

Should we talk about the tax systems in both countries? You see those 'beautiful and heavenly' roads and buildings pictures you showed on this thread, those are made possible cos of the high taxes being paid by the citizens. But in Nigeria, we all complain that the government wants to tax us to death. Where do you lots think the money to execute those 'heavenly' projects will come from? People talk about the social and free programs (free education, elderly care, etc.) in western countries. Are you guys aware that the citizens have to pay for that? It is directly taken from your paycheck, either you like it or not. No government gives out free handouts to their citizens. It is paid for by the same citizens one way or the other.

The leaders we all insults are also one of us. They are not from Ghana neither are they from Gambia, they are fellow Nigerians like us. We all are responsible for the current state of the nation.

I agree that Nigeria is messed up, but we will and shall get there one day.

The Chileans paid the fair price for the country to be where it is today. They had to take all these tough and painful reforms to set their country on the path to greatness. Don't you think Nigeria also needs the tough and painful reforms to also set the nation on a path to greatness?

I hope you enjoy your stay in Chile!

Great! Thanks madam..
gloryhomemaker:

It's basically done with banga extract from the original owners of the soup for that distinct banga flavour in the soup. I believe you can alternate with palm oil if you can't get fresh banga or the canned ones. The canned one has lots of sand so be careful if you will use them.

Fresh vegetables would be the best but again you make use of what you've got.
I hope this helps.

So what's stopping you from claiming 5 years experience on your resume? This is one thing you should understand, if you sabi your craft well and you are so confident in your abilities, baba, go ahead and claim 5-7 years experience. Do you really think any company wan employ newbies?

Bro, update your resume with 5 years experience. List some companies where you've previously worked and put your paddies phone number as reference. The ones you do freelance works for, put them as part-time/contract. All experience counts.

Now, you should also understand that your resume matters a lot in job hunting. If your resume tight, trust me, you go dey get steady interview. So I think you should work on your resume. Let professionals wey don tay for the game help you review and update your resume. That will go a long way to help secure a full-time job.

Politics / UK ‘has Abandoned’ British-nigerian Activist Held In ‘filthy, Windowless Cell’ by GreatKingg: 9:55pm On Jul 09, 2023
The Government has abandoned a British-Nigerian political activist who campaigned for independence for his homeland after he was seized and tortured by security forces, his supporters say.

Nnamdi Kanu spent years running a radio station from his home in south London, but has been held in solitary confinement for two years by Nigerian security services who seized the activist in Kenya and illegally spirited him back to the country.

His family say he is being held in a small, windowless cell despite a Nigerian appeal court dropping all charges against him and ruling that his arrest and extradition were unlawful. The United Nations has also called for his immediate release.

His lawyers accuse the UK Government of doing too little to push for his release and failing to condemn his mistreatment, even though he was travelling on a UK passport when seized. They also fear his life may be in danger in prison.

“This is a serious matter which we would have expected the British Government to be very vocal and reactive about,” Ifeanyi Ejiofor, one of Mr. Kanu’s legal team, told The Telegraph.

“The UK Government has not done much. The Foreign Secretary has so far failed to reach any view.”

Mr. Kanu is leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra group, and for years ran Radio Biafra from his flat in Peckham, calling for independence for the region in south-eastern Nigeria.

The region briefly seceded in the late 1960s, prompting civil war and the deaths of at least a million people, before the breakaway was blockaded and starved into surrender.

Although popular among many Biafrans for raising calls for a referendum on independence, Mr Kanu is a divisive figure, and some in the Nigerian government see him as a potentially dangerous rabble rouser who raises the spectre of renewed civil strife. His group is proscribed as a terrorist outfit in Nigeria.

Mr Kanu had previously spent two years in prison and had fled Nigeria while on bail. In June 2021, he was in Nairobi when his family and supporters say he was abducted and tortured by the Nigerian and Kenyan authorities.

After being beaten for several days, he was put on a small plane back to Nigeria and charged with offences including terrorism and treason.

An appeal court dropped the charges and called for his discharge last year, saying he had been subject to extraordinary rendition without proper extradition. But he remains in security service custody ahead of an appeal before the supreme court in September.

His family earlier this year described the Foreign Office’s handling of the case as “a catalogue of disappointing failings which has left the Nigerian government’s position largely unaltered, and Mr. Kanu’s wife and children, all British citizens, unsupported by their Government.”

The supreme court is widely expected to side with Mr. Kanu, but his legal team warn that his health has deteriorated and allege that he is in danger while in custody.

‘Anything could happen’

Mr. Kanu’s family told MPs earlier this year that he was being held in a filthy, windowless six foot by six-foot cell.

He has not been allowed to change his clothes since he was captured and is given one meal of soup and bread each day.

He has a heart condition and needs treatment for an ear injury his lawyers say he suffered under torture. Nigerian authorities are refusing to let Mr. Kanu’s own doctors treat him and his lawyers claim that his life may be at risk if he is forced to undergo treatment by military doctors.

Mr. Ejiofor said: “I am 100 per cent sure that if he were made to undergo medical procedures under custody that anything could happen, given the history of how he was abducted, how he underwent extraordinary rendition, how he was tortured.”

A Foreign Office spokesman said: “We continue to offer consular support to Mr. Kanu and remain in regular contact with his family and legal representatives, and the Nigerian and Kenyan authorities.”

Family / Re: Genotype Issue. Please Be Rational ( I Am Not A Religious Person) by GreatKingg: 9:03pm On Jul 09, 2023
Don't overflog this issue. Since you really want this girl as wife irrespective of you guys' genotype, here is my advice

Both options might be your way out.

Option 1A and B are totally fine.

During the first pregnancy, you can go with option 1A (CVS: They take a sample of the fluid in the womb through her vagina, at 12 weeks to test, if it’s good then fine, if not we have to terminate).

Then try again, and if she gets pregnant the second time, you can go with option 1B (At 16 weeks, they take the fluid using a needle directly from her womb, and if it’s SS , they terminate).

Since both procedures are covered by the government and you don't need to pay a dime, you have nothing to lose. Now, here is what I want you to know. The abortion procedures in the West are totally safe. Be rest assured, you have nothing to worry in this regard.

Now, if both option 1A and B fails (if both pregnancy turns out to be SS and leads to termination), you should save up some money and go for option 2. IVF in Canada shouldn't cost you more than $20k. This includes all the medications and injections. Yes, IVF is not guaranteed (it might take 2 or more sessions to click), but if it succeeds, it will save you a whole lot of stress and the fear of the child being SS cos like the counsellor advised, the genotype would be selected, thereby eliminating the risk of having an SS or abnormal baby. The IVF route is the safest though, except that it's costlier.

So man, you really have no problem here. Just take your time to think through it. Both options can be explored with a successful outcome. You go dey alright las las.

Governance should be without hatred and bitterness. The election is over, so is politicking. Politics should only be during election, and not during governance. We should learn to separate politics from governance. That being said, irrespective of whether the winners and losers are currently slugging it out at the tribunal, the truth is that we currently have a sitting president, and he needs all the cooperation and help to lead the country in the right direction. Until the tribunal and supreme court rule otherwise, we currently have a president manning the affairs of the country. Even if you didn't vote for the current administration, it doesn't stop us from giving our support in whatever little way we can. His policies, goals, and decisions have far-reaching effects on both supporters and non-supporters alike. Like it or hate it, we are all NIGERIANS. We should only pray for her success, and not downfall. What do we really stand to gain at the downfall of our own country? but we have a lot to gain at her success and greatness. If you are being asked today of your nationality, your response will be NIGERIAN, not Oduduwa, not Biafra, and definitely not Arewa. We all should pray for the success of our leaders so they can lead us right.

Nigeria SHALL be GREAT!

They deserve the spot better than those that claimed to be members, yet secretly worked against the party and the emergence of the new administration. Politics / Re: Fuel Hike, Other Anti-Poor Policies: A Declaration Of War On Workers - NLC by GreatKingg: 4:31am On Jul 06, 2023
This is like a two-edged sword. It's either we continue to subsidize fuel and watch the nation crippled to its knee or we remove subsidy and increase the hardship on the citizens. Truth be told, Nigeria can't afford to keep subsidizing fuel at this point in time. The fuel subsidy arrangement reeks of corruption. Nigeria is broke, that is the truth. The government should have made provisions in the budget for palliatives to help cushion the effects of the subsidy removal. The blame is not on this current administration, but rather on the last administration that prepared and signed the budget for the year. There was no way this administration could have continued to subsidize fuel when there is no provision for it in the budget. Or would you all rather we borrow more money to keep subsidizing fuel? That makes no economic sense. It's either we keep subsidy and not have money to pay civil servants and carry out capital projects, or we remove subsidy and save enough money to put into other sector of the economy. I get it, there is going to be hardship in the near-term, but I think most will agree that we will definitely come to enjoy it in the long run.

Also, I see people talking about raising the minimum wage. In all honesty, #30,000 is too meagre to meet the current reality on ground, but the numbers being proposed and flying around won't work either. Raising minimum wage above #100,000 is only going to increase the suffering for the citizens. Inflation is currently over 20%. What do you think will happen to inflation if minimum wage is raised astronomically? Economics students should understand better.

The bottom line here is that we all need to accept reality as it is today. Subsidy is gone for good, and the government should as a matter of urgency provide palliatives for its citizen for the short term. Wages and salaries should be reviewed to meet with the current situation.

Education / Re: I Will Beg JAMB If Mmesoma Ejikeme Comes Clean On Result – Osita Chidoka by GreatKingg: 2:29am On Jul 06, 2023
How this became a tribal issue still beats my imagination. A crime is a crime, irrespective of the criminal's tribe or background or religion. This girl's guardians and handlers (teachers and principals) really messed things up here. This shouldn't have been allowed to drag this long. Agreed, it might be that it wasn't the girl that produced the document, but there's no way on earth the girl will deny knowledge of the said document being fraudulent. The girl didn't produce the document, but she knew quite well that the document she was parading was 100% fake. She checked her result 5 times, getting back same response of her score of 249 all 5 times. So why still go public with a score of 362, claiming the highest performer in the exam? They should have allowed the matter to die/rest after JAMB informed them that the result was fake. Instead, they decided to go public with it in their attempt to garner public sympathy. Now, the owner of the Computer-Based Testing (CBT) Centre where she sat for her examination has come out to say both the template and the center on the fake slip raised reg flags. Are we still going to keep criticizing JAMB for trying to protect the integrity of the exam?

Over 90% of Nigerian graduates sat for JAMB. We were only interested in getting the right score that will guarantee us admission to our choice course and university. It really hurt to see how this has been tribalized. Crime is crime, period.

No one in their right senses should support this. We all want and yearn for a 'new Nigeria', yet we support criminality because the criminal is from our tribe, religion or background. The new generation we seem to look up to for the 'change' seems to be way worse than the old generation. Is this how we will achieve the change?

We all are quick to reference the West on how organized they enforce the law, but we seem to forget that their laws are enforced without fear or favoritism. If you commit a crime, your family and neighbors will be the first to report you to Law Enforcement, but reverse is the case in Naija. NAH WAH.

hey, this is to be done with python, not SQL. I'm a data engineer myself with over 8 years SQL experience. If you can do it with python, drop me your email and I will send you the dataset.
Popoola009:
Send the details and any datasets I need to work with let me see how it will go I am a data scientist and with a little touch of data engineer who has some good knowledge of SQL.

of course, it's analyzing data with python... but you've got to be good at python to attempt it. Email me if you can do it, and I'd send you the data file for the task... then I can pay for your data... deal?
Holybwoy:
This is data analysis with python.. very simple

You go pay for my data.. I'd do it free.. brother helping brothers
Programming / Python Help Needed ASAP by GreatKingg: 4:35pm On Jun 22, 2023
If you know you can solve this, kindly ping me... It's not free. Ping me and we can discuss compensation. You will have to explain and give a breakdown of the result. I have all the files and data needed to complete the assignment.

Instructions: create a python script that pulls data from the attached five files to generate keyword bids based on the logic below

Overall, the script should accomplish the following:

* Extract data from the five files
* Join the data as need
* Calculate KW level bids
* Generate a bid upload file

* Note: all data was fabricated for this exercise and does not represent ARIS performance or general business economics.

* Definitions of terminology used are included at bottom of this email

Deliverables:
* Bid upload file (a csv file per specs below)
* Python script used (instead of a Notebook) to generate the bid upload file

Bid upload file:
* Format: CSV
* Columns to include:
Keyword ID
Bid

Files included for your use:

* Inventory_Historical – contains the trailing 120 day average inventory by Mk/Mo/Yr

* Inventory_Current_Onsite – contains the current number of the vehicles on our site by make, model and year (e.g., 205 2013 Honda Accords, 150 2015 Toyota Camrys, etc)

* KW_Attributes – contains KW, KW ID, Ad Group, Campaign, Match Type, Quality Score, Est First Pos. Bid, Est Top of Page Bid

* KW_Performance_L120D – contains historical KW performance (impressions, clicks, cost, conversions) for prior 120 days by KW ID

* Make_Model_ARS – contains the historical average ARS for each make/model

Bidding logic:

Step 1: Calculate initial bid for each KW based on its historical performance

a) If KW has >10 conversions

* Calculate KW bid based on KW’s historical performance
* New KW Bid = KW CVR * Mk/Mo ARS.

b) If KW has <11 conversions but ad group has >10 conversions

* Calculate KW bid based on its ad group’s historical performance
* New KW Bid = AG CVR * Mk/Mo ARS.

c) If AG has <11 conversions, but Mk/Mo/Yr has >10 conversions

* Calculate KW bid based on the Mk/Mo’s historical performance
* New KW bid = Mk/Mo/Yr CVR * Mk/Mo ARS.

d) If Mk/Mo/Yr has <11 conversions, but Mk/Mo has >10 conversions

* Calculate KW bid based on the Mk/Mo’s historical performance
* New KW bid = Mk/Mo CVR * Mk/Mo ARS.

e) If Mk/Mo has <11 conversions

* New KW bid = Est First Pos Bid.
*Hint: aggregate KW data to level needed to get AG, Mk/Mo/Yr, Mk/Mo and Mkt level data
*Hint: several attributes (e.g., Mkt, Mk/Mo, etc) will need to be extracted from CMPN and AG names

Step 2: Adjust calculated bid based on the following considerations:

a) Adjust bid based on current onsite inventory

* If current Mk/Mo/Yr inv < hist Mk/Mo/Yr inv
* Reduce KW bid by % equal to half the % diff between current and historical inv
* E.g., if hist avg is 20 and current inv is 15, reduce bid by 12.5% (i.e., half of 25%).

b) Adjust bid based on Mkt CVR only for KWs whose bids were calculated based on Mk/Mo/Yr or Mk/Mo CVR (i.e., not based on KW or AG CVR)

* Increase/decrease KW bid by the half the % above or below overall site CVR the market CVR is relative to overall site average
* i.e., if overall CVR for the entire site is 1.0% and DAL overall CVR is 1.07%, increase bids for KWs in DAL by 3.5%.

c) Cap bids at reasonable levels, based on their quality score

* KWs with QS>7 cannot be higher than Est First Pos Bid
* KWs with QS<8 and QS>5 cannot be higher than average of Est Top of Page Bid and Est First Pos Bid
* KWs with QS<6 cannot be higher than (Est Top of Page Bid *0.9) + (Est First Pos Bid *0.1)
* No bids can be higher than $12.

d) Cap bids of broad match KWs

* Ensure that no bid for a broad match KW is greater than any bid for an exact match KW within the same ad group
* E.g., if bids for exact match KWs within the same ad group are $1.50, $1.75 and $1.60, then if a broad match KW with a calculated of bid of $2.00 should have its bid reduced to $1.50 .

Definitions:

* KW = keyword
* AG = ad group
* CMPN = campaign
* Campaigns target geographical areas where users are located (e.g., a campaign could target all people physically located in Dallas)
* CMPNs contain multiple AGs; AGs contain multiple KWs (learn more here)
* QS = quality score = value google assigns to each KW based (learn more here)
* Impressions = # of times a KW’s ad was seen on in google search results
* Clicks = # of times the KW’s ads were clicked (i.e., # of times people clicked through to carvana.com)
* Conversions = # of car sales generated from the clicks
* CTR = click through rate = clicks / impressions
* CVR = conversion rate = conversions / clicks
* ARS = average revenue per sale = amount of money Carvana makes per car sold
* This is specific to each make and model, but not by year
* Est First Pos. Bid = Google’s estimate for the bid required to show up in first position (see below)
* Est Top of Page Bid = Google’s estimate for the bid required to show up at the top of the page (i.e., 4th position)
* Mkt = Market = the geography the campaign is targeting
* ATL = Atlanta
* DAL = Dallas
* NYC = New York City
* CHI = Chicago
* SFO = San Francisco
* Mk/Mo/Yr = combination of make, model and year.

No, you are wrong. Over 10% of the US population lives below the poverty level. Guy, the poverty level for an individual for yankee nah $13,590. So, your story of nobody lives below the poverty level is completely false. Also, not all cities in the US have access to clean/good drinking water. How many people in the US do you think drink water directly from their tap? Most people depend on bottled water. There are quite a lot of hard-working people that are still poor. Let me ask you this question. What is your definition of hard-working man/woman? People that work 40 hours a week, do you consider them lazy or hard working? Or is it working 2 full time jobs that you consider hard-working? I asked you in my previous post, if you earn $7-$12/hour and work 40 hours weekly, how do you afford the basic necessities? How much is rent where you live? How much is electricity, gas, water, trash, medical insurance, car insurance, food, etc.? Now tell me, how do you afford all these from working 40 hours a week earning $12 or less an hour? Poverty is not a choice for everyone. I agree, there are quite a lot of people that are lazy, they don't want to do any work, just depend on food stamps and house voucher, but there are other majority out there hustling, and still not able to afford basic shits. Have you ever imagined a man with one or two kids earning $20/hour. How does he take care of his home with such pay? So will you now say such person is poor by choice? I believe you know how much childcare cost... even a single person earning $20 is poor... rent alone will take all your paycheck.... now don't tell me it depends on where they live. I'm not sure there's anywhere in the US right now where you will see a monthly rent below $500... you won't see that low even in the projects...
OChimex:

See dude, in the US, we understand. Some super rich than others, but nobody is below poverty line here. No place in the US you will go that you won’t see electricity, good drinking water and all amenities, unlike Nigeria. No hard working man in America is poor. Unless you are into drugs or illegal.
And I say it again, poverty is a choice in US and Europe, unlike Nigeria where people are willing to work but no job. There is nothing like no job in America

but nor forget say that same $2 nah some people monthly rent for naija...
OChimex:

Nobody said everybody is bill gate in America, but when it comes to WHO definition of poverty, people living below $2 per day. Nobody lives below 2”$2 per day in the US.
US and Europe have eliminated poverty. Believe it or not. Poverty now is a choice in US and Europe

Bro, let me tell you the truth. Over 90% of the western nations depend on heavy taxations to get things done. In Nigeria, we pay little to nothing, compared to these western countries. In the US, you pay tax on anything and everything.... now, not just that alone... you see most of these welfare programs, they are taken from working people's pay. In the US, you go pay federal, state, and county tax. E nor stop there ooo, you go still pay social security tax on every pay check. On a $2100 paycheck, if you're married filing jointly, the deduction from the $2100 paycheck is nothing less than $400... now if you're single, you'll pay nothing less than $520 on that same paycheck... now medical and some other small deductions never dey oooo... if you go store, even if nah $1 shit you buy, you must pay tax... you wan pay rent oo, you must pay tax.. all your bills (electricity, water, sewage, trash, etc), you go still pay tax on am. Even if you're selling your car, both buyers and sellers have to pay tax. Even on inheritance, you still have to pay tax. So that's how the government have enough money to sponsor most of these programs. Same thing can be replicated in Naija, but the truth is, the citizens nor go ever gree for government to take such drastic steps. I agree, our politicians are selfish and bad, but let's face the reality, the country is broke. Our revenue from Oil and non-oil can't afford to give Nigerians the good life we so desire, never.
tensazangetsu20:

A lot of state governments in Nigeria can't even pay the 30k minimum wage yet. People earn 15k in Nigeria and that's a majority pay. Schools even in Lagos pay teachers working full time less than 20k a month.
