You are correct. I have a few experiences I can share. My advice to anybody, DON'T DO IT. DON'T.

However, if it happens that she gets pretty before wedding, DON'T ABORT either.

Forget modern advice

A/F sensor aka Wide Band oxygen sensor aka Heated oxygen sensor aka Upstream O2 sensor has a heating element inside it, and it’s primary function is to monitor the flow of burnt gases flowing from the exhaust manifold and also use this info to monitor and relate to the ECU to adjust the air and fuel stoichometry as needed. It is placed usually before a catalytic converter just aft of the exhaust manifold outlet of the engine.

O2 sensor aka narrow band O2 sensor aka downstream sensor primarily monitors NOx and SOx and other harmful gases coming out and also tells if the catalytic converter is doing it’s job or not. It’s placed after a catalytic converter most times.

An eye opener, nice

What code are you trying to solve?
The 36531-RNA-A01 which is from your car is an AF sensor while the one you bought is an O2 sensor and do not carry out their operations in any similar way.

Mogbe !!!!!!!!
So I just wasted 20k for the wrong part.. chai
Can you assist with the correct one?

That single difference in part number is an indication that it’s not meant for your car. Your car’s exact part number ought to match all figure and character on the ecu sticker.

Chief
In reference this, I got a 02 sensor with part no 36532-RNA-A01 as against car's no 36531-RNA-A01. Difference is 1 & 2. Would it matter on the fuel trim?

Hello fam,

my civic 06 is slowly leaking power steering fluid, i've had to top it from time to time. Mechanic said its the seal connecting the steering pump or so that is weak, he has fixed it severally but nothing permanent.

Pls how can this be fixed without changing pump completely?

modified

A different mech changed seals inside the pump, pressure hose was weak and cut open, changed it and leakage has stopped completely.

Anyone having similar issue can learn. 1 love

Didn’t you read my last post concerning your issue?

Give your mechanic the stuff to fix once more and if he doesn’t do it properly it will be wise to buy another power steering pump at that point don’t you think?

Thanks boss.

I read your post and responded accordingly, you didn't read mine.

He might not get it right if he tries, I was hoping you recommend someone who has hands-on with such mechanism.

changing pump is this terrible economy, if it can be easily resolved is wiser. I guess

I appreciate.

Yes, there were improvements and the issue went away for a while before returning. You are correct here, he is not doing a very good job. I am tired of the trials and failing.
I checked online for replacement seals, showed him to confirm so i can order it on aliexpress, he disagreed and even suggested changing pump, then i realise it was a dead end. He may not understand the workings. I def need a better technician.
The hoses have not been tampered with, there are factory fitted.

Car Talk / Re: Why Are Toyota Engines So Reliable? Why Do Toyota Engines Last Longer? by Greatmatty: 10:40pm On Jul 25, 2022
Wrong! Every toyota owner i know have changed engine, very common like oil change. Lil wonder the prices have gone off the roof; Too much demand.

My honda has more horsepower than your toyota, runs faster and would not permit abuse that you throw at pure water toyota.

The question is after the various times your mechanic attempted fixing the seal did you notice any immediate improvements for a while before it got bad again or was the issue still present?

If the issue went away and returned after his fix then it means he’s either using substandard parts or he didn’t do a very good job.

Even if he used good seals some mechanics don’t understand that torquing bolts onto a power steering pump has it’s own specifications. You screw it too tight and it spoils the seal - You screw it too loose and fluid gets past the seals.

If I were you I’d let him work on it again but this time implore on him to use a very good replacement seal. Also check if the power steering hoses are of the right size/diameter (if it’s not the one from factory double check if they replaced with the correct type).

Nobody is perfect.
So before you go for her then you must be sure that she listens to you.

Maybe you not doing enough to warn her and beside not everyone is good at spending money wisely and that is why you are the perfect person for her.

Many men also have their wife as the person that puts a break on any of their reckless spending.
So I would say that you the perfect person help plan her finances but you must make sure she opens up to you and listens too

Best advice in my opinion.

Greeting guys!

Yesterday, my civic 06 suddenly went off while driving, after making clicking sounds. Tried to start and the clicking sound continued repeatedly, waited for some minutes and it started.
Today, same thing happened, it pulled a code P0685 - ECM/PCM power relay control malfunction.

Pls gurus in the house, gazzuzz, kingreign, luvinhubby, how do I resolve this?

Car Talk / Most Filling Stations Including Govt Owned Nnpc Under Dispensing Fuel by Greatmatty: 3:41pm On Nov 16, 2021
Hello peeps,

Have you noticed that many filling stations are under dispensing fuel? I have observed this for a while now, and i'm wondering, are the authorities not monitoring them? it's really sad that asides that fuel attendants are looking for weakness to short sell fuel, the petrol station itself is perpetuating the fraud.

Pls share your experience?
