I wanted to start up a POS business with my savings of N65k, but the POS man that i consulted to assist me said i would need at least N150k to start up a POS business.

I've really been hustling everyday, doing hard works (especially on bulding sites), taking pain killer drugs on daily basis..

I don't think it will be easy for me to raised my savings up to that amount 'N150k' with the type of work that i do..

I wanted to travel to the city with my ND (National Diploma) result, so i can use it to look for work, I posted it here on nairaland, but 80% of the advice i got from this forum said it will be hard to see a paying job with ND result, while some said it is not even possible. So i couldn't travel again..

Now that my savings isn't enough to start up a POS business, i'm thinking of starting up a standard akara and akamu business and probably extend the business along the run..

As someone known by his people to have went to school, is the business worth the shame?

Thank you for making out time to view my thread. I'm hoping I can get an advice from you.

I'm a 26 Years. I work in a company that pays me 85K NGN monthly.

The salary isn't paying my bills in any way, the company isn't productive, I feel stuck and limited each time I go to work. Also, the environment is toxic with gossips, cold wars, etc.

I've been applying for jobs elsewhere but I keep getting rejected. I've adjusted my CV several times but still the same.

I'm considering resigning even though I don't have another job offer yet but I fear my debts. I have some side hustles I use to support my monthly earnings but I fear it may not be enough to pay my debts monthly and fend for myself, siblings, and family generally.

The whole thing is making me lack motivation but I still try to be up for my family.

I want to travel out of the country and search for better opportunities but my resources are limited at the moment.

I have some skillsets, I'm considering venturing into entrepreneurship but I don't have the required capital to get started

I don't know what to do.

Kindly advise me on what to do. I'd appreciate it.

Bussiness is very easy on Paper.
Reality is something else.
Every bussiness listed so far have the capability to make even more than 10k daily and also higher chances of bankrupting you.
That doesn't mean you shouldn't try...
But aim lesser....
I know you want to buy Benz by January, but be easy.
Let's assume you have 1m for bussiness...
Please don't go for a bussiness that will need 1m once.... maintaining and sustaining bussiness is what you won't see from afar...
Start the bussiness with 100k,[yes,too small.... taking things slow is a lesson I learnt the hard way]
After 2 months add 100k.
After 3 months add 300k.
After 6 months add 200k.
Then after 3 months add the remaining 300k.
Your bussiness worth should be around 1.5m by this time or more.
Do a concise evaluation before adding more.

POULTRY, foodstuffs and a few other bussiness is a type of bussiness you can run that way.


I suffered alot being an entrepreneur, I was sacked from a bank and I believe in my little experience... The street will humble you...

Just take things slow... my advice.

It also depends on how the parents handles her when she was a baby...

My 9month old baby now say bye bye and wave her hands even when her tone is not clear enough, but you would hear the bye bye, she can also clap her hand when you say clap your hand for mummy and daddy...

Though creche also play a huge part in child development, as they teach then alot in creche too

You should give her more time, but keep an eye for signs of autism if she displays other behaviors like not responding when her name is called (people often misinterpret this for hearing issues).
