If you meant restoring missing drivers as a result of upgrade or fresh install. Use the following options
1. Try device manager,any driver there with yellow icon is missing or not working properly. Right click and select update for each ones
2. Try downloading each driver from the internet and install. Eg " Hp elitebook 1040 video driver". Make sure you download from HP website only.
3. Try third party software like Driver pack or driver reviver.
I recommend driver reviver. But it requires key.

Also lack of enough data cause incomplete downloads, windows 10 is known to always try to install these incomplete downloads,which cause problems to your PC eg corrupts windows files and your PC won't be able to boot to desktop.

Again to download latest windows 10 you must have at least 5gb,the iso file is 4gb plus. If you pause the download and didn't resume within 24hrs,you will have to start again. Do you have the data?
