They block escape way for other passengers who want to escape from the sinking ship.
Dysfunctional Nigeria is like the sinking ship carrying crude oil.

Adebanjo. You know that nothing will make northern Nigeria agree to restructure Nigeria politically to the type of regional system of governance you crave. Nothing, never.
Yet for more than 20 years, Yoruba have begged for restructure.
Even when a Yoruba, Obasanjo, was President, he tried restructuring, but failed. So who else does Adebanjo believe can be president to restructure Nigeria?
Too many states and political constituencies created in the Northern region by northern military dictators assigned ownership of Nigeria to northern political class. Even the cosmetic restructure done by Jonathan govt, Arewa refused to implement it. . Yoruba, take your Oduduwa country from Nigeria, the same way Igbos want to take their Biafra from Nigeria. Those Southsouth groups who don't want to join Oduduw or Biafra can remain with north in Nigeria as satellite regions of Nigeria because the south south tribes, except Ijaw, may not afford to form a country of their own,..
that is the only salvation for generations unborn of Igbo and Yoruba.

Why don't Adebanjo call for secession of Oduduwa Republic from Nigeria. Because according to Adebanjo, the Yoruba has no powers in Nigeri?

silverbirdng: The Federal High Court, Abuja, will, on Wednesday, hear the motion filed by Mr. Omoyele Sowore, Convener, #RevolutionNow protests, challenging his detention for 45 days by the Department of State Security.
Justice Nkeonye Maha of the Federal High Court is expected to hear the matter.
Sowore, who is presently in detention had, on August 9, approached the court, seeking an order to vacate the ex parte order that gave the DSS the legal backing to detain him for 45 days.
News Agency of Nigeria reports that Justice Taiwo Taiwo had, in a ruling on August 8 in an ex parte application, ordered Sowore’s detention for the said period to enable the DSS carry out and conclude its investigation on allegations levied against him.
The DSS had also, on August 20, challenged the court order allowing it to detain Sowore for 45 days, as against its request of 90 days pending investigation.
Sowore, who is the publisher of Sahara Reporters and presidential candidate of the African Action Congress in the February 2019 general elections, was arrested in the early hours of August 4 by the operatives of the DSS in a hotel in Lagos.
He was subsequently moved to Abuja.
The state agency said Sowore was arrested on account of the #RevolutionNow protest which he had spearheaded.
However, in a motion on notice, brought pursuant to sections 6 (6) (B), 35 and 36(4) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 as amended, section 293 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015 and under the jurisdiction of the court, Sowore asked the court to vacate the order on the grounds that the order was made in violation of his full rights.
The motion filed on August 9 by the human rights lawyer, Mr Femi Falana, SAN, was predicated on 18 grounds and supported by a 24 paragraphs affidavit deposed to by one Marshall Abubakar.
Mr Falana had, on August 22, stormed Court 10 to seek for a date for the hearing of the application.
The lawyer had expressed displeasure over the court’s delay in hearing the motion.

Igboblog: JUST IN!!! Presidency Reacts As IPOB Declares Buhari Missing In Japan
The Presidency has debunked the alleged report by the Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB, that President Muhammadu Buhari is missing in Japan, Igbere TV reports.
Igbere TV reports that the Presidency said the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has “nothing to do with President Muhammadu Buhari since he arrived Yokohama, Japan, on Monday.”
Igbere TV reported that Buhari departed Nigeria yesterday for Japan to participate in the Seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD7) holding in the City of Yokohama, August 28-30, 2019.
However, IPOB alleged that the President was not in Japan, stressing that photographs of Buhari were photoshopped.
Responding to the allegation, Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, urged Nigerians to disregard the claims by IPOB.
In a statement made available to Igbere TV, Adesina said: “Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora are urged to disregard concocted stories, backed with spurious visuals, of any protest or harassment of the President and his team. It is the stock-in-trade of hate mongers, who do not realize that the rest of Nigerians have left them far behind.

During the 1980s as a military dictator, Buhari never had opportunity to junket abroad to shake hands with world leaders. He got the opportunity since 2015 and has spent nearly one-third of his tenure travelling abroad merely to shake hands with world leaders, while Nigeria deteriorated to a near jungle.
"We fought and won real wars, what is Boko Haram?" That was Buhari's response to a foreign journalist who asked him what plans he had to defeat Boko Haram during his 2015 presidential election campaign.

AutoReportNG: Barely two days after being sworn in as Minister, the Minister of Transportation, Hon Chibuike Amaechi has embarked on an inspection tour of the Lagos Ibadan rail line.
The minister of transportation, Mr. Rotimi Ameachi has since resumed his duty post and has hit the construction site of the Lagos-Ibadan Railway site. The site has been on low key since May when the tenure of the minister elapsed.
He and some of his team decided to embark on-site assessment of the place and see things for themselves.
The Minister in a determined move to ensure the development of robust rail infrastructure in line with President Muhammadu Buhari's vision had made the inspection of the rail project in his first four years in office a monthly routine since its commencement of in 2017.

Recall that during the last inspection tour of the project on the 10th of May, which was two weeks to the beginning of a new democratic dispensation, the Minister announced that the track laying on Lagos Ibadan rail line would be completed by the end of May ahead of its scheduled three years completion date
The 157km Lagos Ibadan rail project was awarded in 2017 to the Chinese Civil Engineering Construction Company, CCECC to the tune of $1.6billion with a three years completion agreement.
Speaking shortly after the inspection of the project in Ibadan, in May, the Minister of Transportation said the laying of the rail tracks had already gotten to 123 kilometers.
" So remaining 34 to 35km which they can cover in the next three weeks which they confirmed would be completed before the end of May.
Currently, track laying from Iju-Ibadan is 100percent completed, while construction work from Ebutte meta to Apapa is ongoing.

One thing: an election result that is not verifiable is rendered null and void.
It's not possible to verify the result of an election collated manually from all the crannies and nooks of Nigeria, so long as the bone of contention is irregular voting pattern and disputed results in many areas.
INEC said it used manual collation of results instead of electronic collation - and in the 21st century. Why would INEC refuse Electronic system of collation of election votes in the 21st century? Why would PMB refuse to sign Electoral Act into law? All these amounted to collusion between the INEC and PMB for a garnished election result to favour PMB.
Furthermore, why would INEC assure the political parties that it would use modern and verifiable electronic system all the four years, but only reneged on the eve of election?
That's breach of trust by INEC.
