LegendVibes: Human Rights Activist, Deji Adeyanju has described the plan by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to attack President Muhammadu Buhari in Japan as senseless, Igbere TV reports.
According to him, Kanu has plan to ruin the Igbo race adding that he is also a businessman looking for where to make money, Igbere TV reports.
Recall that on Friday August 23, Mr. Kanu had called on all the members of the IPOB to disgrace and arrest President Buhari when he arrived in Japan on Sunday, August 25, for the Seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development.
Igbere TV had reported that Mr. Kanu in a statement had ordered IPOB members in Japan to arrest the president and hand him over to Japanese authorities to answer for the crimes he allegedly committed between 2015 and 2019.
Mr. Deji who was angered by Kanu’s directives said; “How can any reasonable person openly call for an attack on the president of a nation on foreign soil? Even if you don’t like Buhari or what he represents, at least we must respect the fact that he is the president of our country.”

We adopt the means of nonviolence because our end is a community at peace with itself. We will try to persuade with our words, but if our words fail, we will try to persuade with our acts.”
You have heard me say before and I will say again, Nnamdi Kanu is only a business man looking for where to collect money.
He is not driven by ideology or love for the igbos. After attacking his fellow Igbo brother, Senator Ike Ekweremadu who played a significant role in ensuring his release from Kuje Prison in Germany, Kanu the businessman has called on some of his miscreants/supporters to attack President Buhari as he visits Japan.
Those who were doubting me when I said Kanu is being sponsored by some element in the North can now see the clear handwriting on the wall. How can any reasonable person openly call for an attack on the president of a nation on foreign soil? Even if you don’t like Buhari or what he represents, at least we must respect the fact that he is the president of our country.”
Do you think Kanu does not know the danger of attacking Buhari in Japan. He knows but those sponsoring him are doing everything humanly possible to ensure no Igbo man ever rule Nigeria and also put peace loving igbos in the North in danger by setting them up for reprisal attacks by Buhari’s fanatical supporters.
The other plot is also to use Kanu to divide igbos by creating an atmosphere of war. The plan of the sponsors of Kanu is to provoke the political leaders in the South East, i.e -governors and other elected officials to the point that they will have no other option but to orchestrate attacks against Kanu and his supporters in retaliation. Kanu only worships money and will not stop the verbal attacks on Igbo leaders in as much as his paymasters continue to send him alerts.”
Nnamdi Kanu ordered arrest of PMB in Japan for prosecution over PMB's offence of human rights abuses, because Japan has a law against people who abused human rights.

Today, under the Buhari II administration the role of Chief of Staff remains the same as it was under Buhari I.
It is worth stressing that the role and responsibilities of the Chief of Staff and the method of communication and arranging scheduling between Cabinet members and the President are, in Nigeria, based on the US model, where the same system operates - and has done for decades - in precisely the same way.
That role is to act as the head of the presidential administration at Aso Rock; to be an adviser to the President on any and all matters; to be the line manager for all staff at Aso Rock; and to manage appointments and scheduling for the President.
In the traditional presidential system, it is a primary function of a Chief of Staff, which may vary according to the needs and desires of each President, to supervise key State House Staff, control access to the office and the person of the President, manage communications and information flow and this includes that which binds the relationship with the two other arms of government.
During the President’s first term those were the responsibilities of the Chief of Staff, and they remain the same responsibilities today. There is no change.
When President Buhari explained to ministers that they would be expected to communicate with him and arrange scheduling to meet with him primarily via the Chief of Staff, he did so as many of the Buhari II Cabinet ministerial appointments are new appointments and cannot therefore be expected to know how matters of liaising with the President operate.
This is to stress that access to the President is open to ministers. It is not true that this is denied them in the Second Term.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) on the other hand is responsible for ensuring the effective coordination and monitoring of the implementation of government policies and programmes. All cabinet matters must go through him.
Under this dispensation, a performance evaluation of ministers and Permanent Secretary will be maintained by the SGF. Two weeks after assuming office, they are expected to sign mandate acceptance documents.
It is time to end the unnecessary controversy, for the key appointees of the President to carry out their jobs.

Residents of Gbeji, Tse Akaanya and Tse Hiityo where Fulani herdsmen invaded last week Wednesday and Thursday, killed more than 50 people and destroyed properties worth millions of naira have accused the Nigerian Army of colluding and leading the Fulani militias to attack their villages.
Narrating their ordeal before the Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Prof. Tersoo Kpelai who took a team of journalists to the communities to asses the level of destruction and commiserate with the families, Mr. Sunday Kulegwa and Iortaver Idye (the most elderly person in Gbeji town) all pointed accusing fingers on the army noting that army personnel using official vehicles were not only spotted on the scene of the attacks with the invaders but also participated in the shooting and killing of innocent people.
Similarly, in Tse Akaanya and Tse Hiityo all in Lumbuv council ward, Hon. Timothy Iorfa, Councilor representing Lumbuv ward, Austin Damsa and Terkaa Agera who witnessed the attack maintained that, men of the Nigerian Army in their personnel carriers and other army utility vehicles mounted with launchers and other sophisticated weapons were seeing shooting and killing people why the Fulani militias followed the troops burning houses and carting away with other valuables.
Reacting, Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Prof. Tersoo Kpelai condoles the family of the deceased saying it is worrisome that innocent people are attacked and killed in their ancestral homes without any slightest provocation and promised to liaise with the appropriate authorities to investigate allegations of military involvement in the attacks.
Prof. Kpelai also assured the communities that he will meet with the Executive Secretary, Benue State Emergency Management Agency to discus the way forward and see if Government will come to the aide of the displaced.

Eight people were said to have sustained various degrees of injuries and 30 escaped in a clash with angry youths during a demolition exercise in Orlu town, Imo state. Narrating the story, yesterday, to Vanguard in Owerri, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Rochas Okorocha on Mayoral Affairs, Mr Emeka Osuorji, led the team of government officials on the demolition exercise.
According to Osuorji, he decided to retreat with his men when the angered youths poured fuel on their vehicles and on themselves. He added that the ugly incident took place at Owus Avenue by Amigbo road in the area, and that they could be on a suicide mission.
The government official said: ” For the past one month there has been announcement for the inhabitants of Orlu city to remove the shanties, containers and illegal structures on the major streets in Orlu town. “But It was an ugly situation, when myself and my men and some security agents, went on the removal of the shanties and illegal structures. “At first it was first peaceful while we were removing the shanties, half way into the action, some youths mobilized themselves, few of them we have identified. They attacked me and my men. “Two out of the youths poured petrol on themselves and on our vehicles, in my decent manner of carrying out my duties I sensed the situation was getting real bad, I called my men and all the security men and we retreated to my office. “That one did not deter them they still came after us and came to our office but they did not gain entrance into our office.
I am not going to shy away what happened because it was a lesson. “However, Eight of my staff were seriously injured, their phones were stolen, monies were stolen but nobody died.” He alleged that, “The people at Owus by Amigbo road, that is where we met this resistance. From what I got the youths who collect money from these illegal structures carried out this attack.”

The University teaching hospital in Orlu functioned optimally for many years when it was established, until locust leaderships took over Imo state.
What sense does it make killing a university hospital which Imo state had invested tens of billions of Naira to build in Imo state, then spend another tens of billions of Naira to build a new one in the same state? Only a lunatic or someone with ulterior motive would do that.
