For more than 12 years now, the .NET framework has been the programming model for developers who want to build apps for Windows. But in its efforts to take many of its developer tools cross- platform, Microsoft today announced that it plans to take .NET to both the Mac and Linux soon and that it is open-sourcing most of the full server-side .NET core stack (not client-side .NET), starting with the next version. As Microsoft’s corporate VP of its Developer Division S. “Soma” Somasegar told me, about 6 million developers are now building applications on top of the framework. “We’ve been widely successful with that,” he said. But now the question is, how do you move .NET forward? Microsoft already open sourced the .NET compiler earlier this year, so it’s not new to this (even though many pundits may still take a double-take when they hear the words “Microsoft” and “open source” in the same sentence). Looking at Microsoft’s recent history, however, today’s announcement doesn’t come as a total shock. At its Build developer conference earlier this year, for example, Microsoft announced the .NET Foundation and it’s that organization that will also shepherd this project. hobyner: Try and learn all the commands n functions. Dont bother remembering d syntax manner. Jst learn wat u nid. I learnt php for 3 months, been using it eversince.Did you learn the procedural part of PHP and the OOP part in three months? |
Hmmmmmmma plus one. Thanks |
Why don't you learn CSS before any scripting language? PHP is nice but I will recommend javascript first if you already know CSS . Learn to deal with the client side(front end) before thinking of back end(server side). There are greater advantages if you learn javascript before PHP because after learning the procedural part of PHP you start thinking of OOP. It is my opinion though!!!! |

Chigorkizz: How do u expect d FG to sign those conditions of urs?THE SAME FG GOVT WILL STILL LOOT THE SALARY after all FG caused the strike because if they had kept to the 2009 agreement since it was signed four years back it won't had come to this.......so FG is the root of the problem.....they are not sincere!!! |
passionate88: Then why are they askin for their salaries to be paid?. Did they work/lectures that they want the FG to pay them?.What will Gej use the four months salary for? ANSWER: They will LOOT them. Who is the cause of the strike? ANSWER: FG. how? ANSWER: the refuse to honor there 2009 agreement. Shine your eyes.... Have FG ever being sincere to any sector? If they can pay a common MILLITANT for amnesty why can't they do double for our education sector!!!! |
nkwachiabel: the main agreement. ASUU r jst thievesIs FG govt different? |
Who said ASSU are not being intellectuals? The learnt from this>>>>"In recent times, we've seen the Association of health workers embark in a strike after FG failed to honor an agreement it had with them. We've seen Nasu embark in a strike due the same dishonorable attitude." That is why they wanted extra commitment from the fed govt. So GEJ should sign this thing if he is really sincere!!! |
If the fed govt kept to the 2009 agreement will ASSU go on strike? Why are Nigerians not seeing the govt are fooling us. I am a student and my school structure is like a poultry farm. Govt don't want to pay that salary because they want to loot the poor lecturer's salary alone with the once they have looted from order sectors..... Shine your eyes. |
ASUU are not saints but our govt. are worst. If GEJ has said it, putting it to writing and asking some top sectors to sign it should not be a problem. I am very sure GEJ is also playing politics with the future of students. It is clear GEJ is just making empty promises. That is how they make promises during campaign and fool us. Shine you eyes......Nigerians |
Somebody should be wise here!!! |
http://www.punchng.com/news/ex-militant-asari-dokubo-arrested-in-cotonou/ A Former Niger Delta militant, Mujahid Asari-Dokubo, was on Tuesday arrested in Cotonou, capital of Benin Republic. It was learnt that the ex-militant was arrested at about 1.00pm by the Benin Republic’s police. A statement by his lawyer, Festus Keyamo confirmed the arrest, saying Asari-Dokubo was picked up around the Lubeleyi roundabout and taken to “an unknown destination.” Keyamo, in the statement on Tuesday, argued that Asari-Dokubo was not arrested for running any illegitimate business in the country. The lawyer noted that the ex-militant had been residing partly in Benin Republic for many years, adding that Asari-Dokubo owns property in Cotonou. It was gathered that the ex-militant reportedly opened a private university – King Amachree African University, in Benin Republic. The university is preparing to start degree-awarding programmes in 2014. The statement reads in part, “Today, Tuesday, November 26, 2013, my friend and client, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, was arrested in Cotonou, Benin Republic, around the hours of 1pm and 2pm by the country’s gendarmes (police). “He was picked up around the Lubeleyi roundabout and taken to an unknown destination. In fact, he owns houses, schools and an academy in that country. All these places have been searched as of this evening and nothing incriminating was found.” Keyamo expressed the conviction that “Dokubo’s arrest and detention are a ploy by certain forces in Nigeria in an unholy alliance with the Beninoise government to keep him away as 2015 approaches. “We call on the Nigerian government to immediately intervene and ensure that no harm befalls Alhaji Dokubo-Asari and to use all diplomatic means to secure his immediate release and safe return to Nigeria.”

waleadex: If well investigated, this man must have been doing this for a long time. This is so shameful and I wonder why the devil is always at blame.Due to the fact that his wife does not stay with him |
Forty five-year-old Taiwo Bakare, probably had nursed his sinister idea for a while. But on Monday, November 10, 2013, he decided to put his plan into action. When the mother of 10-year-old Blessing (not real name) had left the shop where she sells petty goods on Unity Street, Egan area of Igando, Lagos, Bakare, who is a landlord on the street, walked up to the shop where the girl tended to her mother’s wares. Under the pretext of buying something, he took the girl to his house – a small bungalow at No 45 at the end of the long street – and defiled her. No one saw anything. No one heard a noise that evening on the street as Bakare allegedly carried out his heinous crime. But as soon as Blessing’s mother returned to the shop, she knew something was amiss because her daughter was walking awkwardly. “I asked my daughter what happened to her. I pleaded with her to tell me. She then told me that he (Bakare) came to buy something at the shop when I was not around and took her home and slept with her,” the distraught woman told the police. Blessing reportedly told her mother and the police that she did not know what happened after Bakare bought what he came for at the shop. She said what she knew next was that he was on top of her in his house. The girl’s mother did not waste time in reporting to the Igando Police Division, where the Divisional Police Officer, Mr. Ben Osuji, drafted some of his men to apprehend the suspect. “As soon as the suspect saw policemen, he fled and ran into a canal in the area. That was where we arrested him,” a police source told Saturday PUNCH. During interrogation at the station, Bakare blamed the usual suspect – the devil – for his crime. According to a statement he made at the police station, he said he did not know what came over him when he took the little child home and slept with her. “I have four children but they are not living with me. My wife is not living with me as well. I would not pray for something like this to happen to my child because my last child is 10 years old. I cannot pray for something like this to happen to her. The devil made me do it,” he said. Bakare, a well built-man with a slight ‘pot belly’, could not deny the crime but the life of the small girl seemed to have been changed forever. The police did not reveal the address of the victim’s family on the street in order to protect her. When our correspondent visited Unity Street, it was noticeably a very quiet neighbourhood in the interior part of Igando, Lagos. The residents revealed that Bakare is the Secretary of the landlord association of the street. The suspect’s house, a barely finished two bedroom bungalow, where he allegedly carried out his crime, is solely inhabited by him, a neighbour said. “There was no sign that he could do something like that. In fact, I have never thought that he could be promiscuous let alone raping a small girl. We were shocked when the police came for him,” the young lady said. A landlord two houses away from Bakare’s, gave a similar opinion of the suspect. He said there had never been a sign that he was capable of raping a minor and there had never been any allegation of such act on the street. “He lives alone but could we have appointed him secretary of the association if we knew he was a dangerous man? Nobody has alleged rape here before unless they refused to report it. Let him go and defend himself in the court,” he said. The police at Igando said the 45-year- old father of four was being held on charge of defilement as they have also taken the victim for medical examination in an undisclosed hospital. Saturday PUNCH was told he would soon be charged to court. However, Child Rights Activist, Mrs. Esther Ogwu, said it was simply “traumatic” to hear of such allegation of someone of Bakare’s age. She laid some of the blame of the crime on the doorstep of the victim’s parents. Ogwu said, “My opinion is that many parents are becoming very careless about the way they leave their children to the mercy of strangers on the streets. “We need to remember that children are not like adults. They can easily be deceived by guile. If a child for example goes hungry, no one can say what a stranger with a mere N50 can do to such a child. “Many things cause a child to be sexually exploited. It is really annoying because that girl has simply been traumatised.” She advised that the girl should be made to go through counselling, adding that the parents needed to relocate from the area in order to prevent stigmatisation by those who may hear about the case. http://www.punchng.com/feature/saturday-crime/my-last-child-is-10-but-devil-pushed-me-to-rape-10-year-old-girl-suspect/
