Afam4eva: The cycle of life.
You travel abroad and make it and you make it a duty to dissuade other from doing exactly what you did and tell them about how horrible living abroad is yet to you remain there. Who's deceiving who? Believe it or not, that lady has some valid points. I agree living abroad kinda spoils you. You think free internet and 24hour power is normal. You feel a serene cityscape and sane society is ordinary. Reason most people don't consider coming back is cos they can't imagine squeezing into a bus or having a flat battery but trust me, sometimes the expenses and difficulties when struggling in a place you know no one and feel like a stranger everyday can be very overwhelming. You just can't get best of both worlds sometimes. |

I was by far the smallest and the only kid who went to the stadium by himself! The stadium is close to our house sha.Oron Township stadium in Akwa Ibom State. When I arrived the gate, the soldiers stopped me and asked where I was going, I told them I came to cheer and support our next President Chief MKO Abiola, they all bust into laughter and were surprised at my confidence.
They allowed me in. When MKO arrived, they took me close to his chopper so I could have a clear view of him Wow.... what lovely memories you must have. Enough gist for your kids. |

Just another excuse to be lazy, fat people disgust me.
And for future reference, we all can't be beautiful. That's life. I used to really think fat people were all unserious about their health until I realized some of them may be suffering from genetic disorders... imagine losing the sensor that tells your brain you've had your fill and that's not even as severe as something genetic, sometimes it isn't what it seems. Sometimes.... And we can all be beautiful, usually it only depends on who's looking. |

freeze001: What is worth doing is worth doing well. Do not exalt mediocrity and the belittling of our children! This is the height of dehumanisation, are they animals? Can Buhari's children eat this way? I hope u know it's the books they're supposed to read n write on that they're forced to tear to eat this gruel because the government cannot provide even disposable plates!
Did they beg for food? See d kids even complain that it's not as tasty as what they are fed at home so why feed them trash? So because they are under privileged the government should take them even lower than the lowest level and u expect Nigerians to be grateful? Are they doing d children a favour? Is it not public funds that are being expended whilst opening up a fresh avenue for looting and stealing in the name of feeding school children?
Just stop with the nonsense please! Oh my days! Thank you, just thank you. |

Throwback: Are you not ashamed that a major oil producing state that has always been ruled by the same PDP of DSP Alams and Goodluck Jonathan, is only beginning to wear the appearance of an urban society after many year of rural scenery.
So PDP in Bayelsa just realised that quality projects is not a miracle, and can improve the life of Bayelsans?
Has the UK finally returned the $900m that DSP Alams laundered that it promised to return, that could have built this very road being named after him over a decade ago?
Your propaganda with the mass registration on Nairaland and mass commentary is too obvious. The funds for this propaganda should have been released well ahead so that those mobilized for the job could have established their Identity long before their commentary was required. Thank you brother. And to think that human beings living on oxygen they didn't pay for will have hearts to support mediocre projects such as these is really disturbing. You can smell the stench of the falsehood in their comments from space. PDP up and down like they are any better. Same brood of vipers |

Leaving Nigeria is always a better bet
Too much criminality under one roof in Nigeria Bro, I'm not debating that. I had my fair share of injustice before I left. What I mean is he should at least have something to show of his own before leaving... a small business he could run, a skill he's expertly good in, a decent degree, anything. Nobody will give you visa when they sense you're most likely going there to wash plate. If an opportunity shows up now, he doesn't seem prepared to cash in on it. |

My destiny and yours can't be the Same Lol... this my broda sef. Sure thing, our paths aren't similar most likely, but leave village people out of it, the last person they'll think of holding is me cos I'm out of their league and reach already. I'm doing relatively well for myself cos I took an opportunity when it came and that involves being prepared for it. How ready are you if an opportunity shows up now? No body wants a man that is there for papers alone. I see some guys who do that here and you'll just want to puke in disgust. Learn a skill expertly or something to set you apart, just migrating to el dorado with nothing doesn't always end up well. Just a piece of advice. |
