Modrov: Kenya=we are at the same level according to the map.
RSA= 5 DOLLARS for that one gig compared to our 1.31 dollars
Egypt: 4 DOLLARS
Two of those countries pay more than we do.
It is cheap in Nigeria. If it pains you, sorry. We are not a rich nation anyway...which is why you people should vote in the right people. I agree with your last point. But people in those countries can afford that way easier as well as much better service. I can tell of Kenya for a fact. |
Phones › Re: Cost Of 1Gb Of Data In Every Country by greenprince(m): 7:50pm On Sep 09, 2021 |
Modrov: Okay...in America they pay N500 for fuel. Maybe we should pay that high too....since we should compare ourselves to the best as you say. You obviously don't get it. You're here happy you paying less for data compared to Chad which is a poverty stricken country that doesn't measure up to yours in any way, then when I challenge that you say in America they pay N500 for fuel. How does that even make sense? If not for the unchecked free fall of your country's currency do you think that amount paid for fuel in the US equated up to N300 a couple years ago? Besides, N500 for fuel is nothing to an American who earns about hundred times that amount in a single day! So, that's the entire point. With the Naira so useless and access to money so hard, wouldn't you at least be happy to pay N8000/month for unlimited super fast internet like I do here? |
Phones › Re: Cost Of 1Gb Of Data In Every Country by greenprince(m): 2:35pm On Sep 09, 2021 |
Modrov: Not relatively....VERY cheap.
Infact, we pay less for data than CHAD!...Chad apparently pays 9 times more for 1gb than we do. Malawi is even worse. Are Chad and Malawi suddenly our mates? Whatever happened to Kenya and RSA and Egypt? |
Phones › Re: Cost Of 1Gb Of Data In Every Country by greenprince(m): 2:34pm On Sep 09, 2021 |
Modrov: So, data 1gb costs about N1200 or $3
In some countries, it costs $27
And we think we are paying heavily for data? We ain't. Why are we always comparing ourselves with the worst? Why not the best? Is it a thing we do subconsciously or is it what Nigeria has done to us? Yes there are countries paying $27 but how many are in that range, why won't we rather put ourselves in the equation of those paying $0.11? |

Guy, travel please so that an overhead bridge does not fascinate you lol. Open Youtube, check out candid street videos of Tunis, Cape Town, Rabat, Jo'burg, even small Gaboronne and see. Development is not beautiful interiors of people's business, it's steady power, water supply, good road network, security, quality of life, and decent standards of living. soojar: Hmmm, I remember that year. Fresh from secondary school, scored the highest mark from my state in the entrance exam, equipped with all the things they asked us to bring for the final interview among other things including cutlery at Jaji, Kaduna.
I received the shock of my life when some soldiers screening us at the gate (maybe na gatemen dem be sef I no know), after checking everything, my shorts, vests, canvas etc, everything was in order apart from... letter. They asked me where is your letter? I said which letter? I brought out the checklist again and scanned through it I didn't see anywhere letter was mentioned. When they saw my confusion they now said oh! you mean you came down here all the way from your state without letter from anyone? General, Respectable royal father, a top government person? I replied No, they didn't ask us to bring any letter of such. They just looked at themselves and said but you have your cutlery with you right? I happily said yes sir, they said no problem then, enter and eat well.
I didn't get the extent of their mockery until I truly entered and start mixing with others realizing that most of the guys around me came with letters from deputy governors, Major Generals, etc, etc. Na then I realize say na food I come Jaji come chop true true.
Brotherly, 7 days interview, I was sent home the 4th day
But on a good note, as those soldiers at the gate predicted, I chop tire. We wey be say na only christmas you dey chop chicken beleful, Na almost one full chicken o. At least if dem nor give me mid-shipman, I chop their chicken. Their loss.
feels like yesterday, but that was long ago I know you tried to make this funny but it must hurt cos that's what injustice does to all of us whether we like it or not, the thing can pain. I was almost same as you. I somehow made my AFSB list despite the brazen cheating at my centre in Jos. I was ready for my AFSB with almost all required documents and having trained and prepared overtime, but then God saved my life and pushed me to a far better opportunity barely 3 days to my resumption in camp. Reading your story just reminded me of what may have been. |

Cindy222: I have always wanted to write about this but I have been procrastinating but here I am today writing about it.
Firstly I am a Human Chimera (Twin Chimerism),we are quite rare, many people have no idea what it's about but I am going to write about it,I can't do that in one day but I am going to do it by starting today.
A chimera is essentially a single organism that is made up of cells from two or more individuals i.e it contains 2 sets of DNA,with the code to make 2 separate organisms. People who have 2 different sets of DNA are called Human Chimeras.
Chimerism is a natural phenomenon, a medical mystery that has not really been understood fully till now.
My mother was pregnant,as usual pregnant women go for scans to ascertain the sex of the unborn child and guess what? They told her she was having twins(a boy and a girl) she was excited. She got things for twins and all. Lo and behold, the delivery period came and all that, before I came out,it was a tug of war, they almost did a Ceasarian Section(CS) for her but as they were wheeling her to the theater I popped out, they did all they could to bring out a my twin but couldn't find any other child. There was no 2nd child, everyone was shocked,I guess they searched and searched.
That was when the confusion started, they said it was a medical mystery. They said I absorbed my twin,This was in the 90's though. I was born with a one in a million kind of birth mark, one part of my ass(which I cannot show you) down to my thighs and lower legs are dark in complexion and the other part of my ass(I cannot show you that too) are fair in complexion down to my thighs and lower legs, people who know me know how it looks like in reality. Below are pictures of what I can show you for now, part of my thighs,as time goes on I will add more lol... . I tried to bleach the dark leg,i tried everything, e no gree bleach...I kuku left it jare,I dey flex my thing dey go,anytime I wear a short gown see eyes of shock, people get shocked because I am not hiding my legs,I cannot o. Some people don't even have legs to walk,so I am damn grateful...Ehen before I forget, one leg is fresh and sexy for a lady and the other one is just normal ,I guess it's for my twin, since he was a guy. My big toe nails are kinda different too. Weird and scary right? I went through you diary too, it's nice you're doing this and you've accepted who you are and grown into it. I can't help but feel sad about the immune wahala you get though, I took an immunology course recently so all the immune system madness is still fresh in my head and I understand they can be real bad sometimes. But you're beautiful and special in the midst of it all. |

EwuGambia: Which kyn wahala be this.....
My advice.... You have obviously made some foolish mistakes....which is sad...and is only human....but if you keep dwelling on it, you might not move forward.
The best advice i can give now is to stop the blame game...i see you blaming your father in a comment below. I dont think the man has any influence in your present predicament, at least you did very well for yourself at some point in time, which shows you are very capable of success...i have a personal belief "if you did it before, you can do it again".... Soo my Man...dust yourself up, dont get too personally involved with your wife and her family....see your kids when you can, avoid spending nights with them, mentally convince yourself that you dont have a wife....and reduce how you trust people...
Better opportunities would still come your way.....just learn from your mistakes and move on. When you get on your feet fully, you can work on formally seperating from your wife(its very necessary, and it doesn't guarantee that your children would suffer what you did... its up to you to determine if they suffer or not.) The kind love and respect wey I get for you no be here. I love it when people can be goofy and funny and still give wisdom laden comments and opinions as you did here. This your goat pictures dey sha burst my head steady |

Jakumo: Oga please o, don't be annoyed with my interruption, but I have a humble question about the name brand of the cannabis that you prefer to imbibe, before picking up your keyboard to type online.
You see, this is my problem. No matter how many BALES of Akure Wonder Weed, I partake, I regret to confess that I am yet to hear OWLS MARCHING ON MY ROOF AT NIGHT, and this obvious lack of potency in my weed supply, is giving me sleepless nights.
Reading further about how you ultimately engaged the rampaging owls on your roof with "serious fighting", I found myself on the edge of my seat. Anyway, thanks be to God, but also to the power of the African bush that you ingest in preparation for battle, for the victory you finally won, that saw the owls fleeing for dear life, after facing the "angular" stick attacks, and boiling water deployments that you launched that fateful day.
Now, this is a delicate subject, since weed is technically illegal in Nigeria, as Sgt. Inyang always reminds me when we jam at the smoke parlor, so I just want you to indicate by responding with a number from 1 to 4, as an indirect confirmation that would unveil the cannabis strain you generally prefer to partake during those relaxing evenings at home, while doing battle with ferocious owls and other dangerous beasts from the abyss.
Do you prefer ( 1 ) Ajegunle Battle Bush ( 2 ) Akure Wonder Weed ( 3 ) Akinmokun Daluru Tobacco ( 4 ) Warri Golden Fire Bush
Please just indicate 1, 2, 3, or 4, for my future reference, and God breast Nigeria. Thank you. YOU ARE A MAD PERSON Do you know how hard I laughed at this in public?
