HOLINESS(THE ULTIMATE FLIGHT'S PASSPORT)BY BRO GBILE AKANNII am to connect a flight to Manchester from an airport but while waiting for my flight to be called I came across a brother who I knew back in Nigeria who was too glad to see me for he has been under my ministration many times. We discussed nearly everything until our flight was called. The brother got ready his papers and passport but as to my own passport I could not locate it. I searched frantically without success. After sometime the brother had to leave me and commend me to the grace of God to help me find my passport. I ran to the counter, explained what happened to them and asked that they should delay the flight a little so that I can locate my passport because of the crucial preaching appointment i have but they declined.I watched my friend board the flight and I watched the plane go.Despite the fact that my friend was my disciple, he boarded the flight but I could not. My friend as well as some others in the airport has lots of respect for me because they recognise me as a great man of God yet there is little they could do to help my situation. I have so many other and necessary papers intact but without the passport the authorities would not allow me board the flight. The theme being considered at the convention of Methodist church Nigeria rounding up today 19-01-18 in which Bro Gbile Akanni is the main speaker is taken from Heb.12:14- Make every effort to live in peacewith all men and to be holy, without holiness no one will see the Lord. The passport issue came about while Bro. Gbile was explaining the words 'whithout which'.The passport to entering heaven is Holiness. Your status, wealth, position, degree or what have you does not count here. Some pastors would be left behind while people that came to know God through themwould enter the kingdom of God. Some people are majoring in the minor while leaving the most important unattended to. You can score allAs in all other subjects but with F9 in English and Mathematics, no Nigerian University will admit you.The airport authorities has a standard which will not be compromised for anybody. Once you are not qualified you are disqualified. You still have opportunity now to get ready for the ultimate flight, once you die or the trumpet sounds, no matter how frantic your efforts are, you will still have to face the consequence of your negligence. I wonder what else would be important to an international traveller other than the passport. Your passport to heaven is Holiness you better do all you can now to locate it if you have misplaced it else you regret ever coming to the world. On the long run, I was able to locate the passport where I dropped it when packing other things. The booking lady rebuked me sharply for being so careless and I think I deserve it. Anyway, I asked them to help me check if there would soon be another flight going my route and I was lucky there is. But what if the one I missed was the last flight or if the next flight has been fully booked. After the incidence, Bro Gbile learnt to treasure his passport dearly and to hold it. This is an extract from the sermon of Bro Gbile Akanni at 2018convention held at Ikotekpene. Had I known would not be your portion at the end in Jesus name. Please locate your passport now and treasure it dearly. Your flight may be announced any moment.
God bless you greatly for sharing this.
And may the oil of divine anointing never seize to flow upon the servant of God Bro Gbile Akanni

I cant thank you enough for this advice dear. I was almost lost. Thank God am beginning to come back to my senses again. Where should I begin? Reading the Bible? I really find it hard to pray. I need a headstart. I need someone to guide me.
Hey brother, I'd like to help if you don't mind. Music does the it for me but I don't know about you. Immerse yourself in deep spirit filled worship songs. Most times it's best to play them alongside the lyrics on your device. Try The City Harmonic and Citizens and Saints. Hillsong is amazing too. Read contemporary Christian literature. Not those with excess theological concepts abeg, that's not what you need now. Find books that relate first to everyday life from a Christian perspective. Drown yourself in everything godly. Movies you watch, posts you read, comics you laugh at, every tiny detail should point towards God. With time you'll find yourself effortlessly loving Him.

God bless you brother.

In as much as I'm yet to make any invention, please let's not celebrate mediocrity. Is this what the country needs to move forward? More or less retrogressive. Let's think/create what solves societal problems not this please.
You may have a point but I tell you more retrogressive is the fact that youths throng beach parties and concerts to shout and profess undying love for drug abusing noise makers who tag themselves musicians. While seats are empty when Poju gathers international heavyweights every year to come speak sense into youths on The Platform. Time and time again we've abused our own, few dust themselves up go elsewhere and achieve their dreams. If this dude did this stuff in my school, the professor will most likely have a good laugh pat him on the back and say "nice boy but you can do a whole lot better". It may not be good enough but build it instead of breaking what's left of it.

Ill let this pass. but If an 18 year old boy does this and feels it's an achievement , give him a heavy knock and send him away
That is besides the point. How many 18 year olds with the very harsh and limiting conditions in that country will think of doing something like that. If he showed prospects with something that simple and classless, it means he can do more if motivated. I'm not celebrating mediocrity mind you, but he's sure better than his peers who play pop tunes all day and while away their time on social media. If 60% of our teenagers had the sense to build something like this, they'd have stood up to bad governance a long time ago.

I was once in your shoe. Graduated high school in 2010 resorted to Polytechnic a year later and graduated in 2012 with a distinction. Although I was he'll bent on getting into the course of my choice; OAU Electrical engineering but was admitted thrice consecutively for Engineering Physics I had to apply to other schools the fourth time also did jamb (medicine and surgery). Thank God I got admitted for medicine and surgery(although first time applying for it)

My advice is that you
Should never give up, instead keep your head up soon you'll testify

Try out other options (probably other schools) you may have higher chances there.

I don't know if you believe in prayers, but if you do please pray for favour.

Good day sir, I don't know if you can still remember this post but I just want to thank you for the kind words you spoke to me through this post.
I'm currently studying in one of Europe's best medical schools and how I got here is a story that may be too long to tell. God is faithful and may He reward your kindness to me when I was in dire need of it.

God bless you sir.

I read the write up very well before i commented
If you don't have anything intelligent to say please shut up
I wasn't just particular about the write up
I commented generally about the things ladies do which doesn't make sense at all most times

Why would a lady sleep with a random guy and still allow the guy to take her photographs

If they had said no those guys wouldn't have taken their pix...people should learn to stand their ground and say NO to somethings not even in this 21st century where nudes like this are used against females

I no see where to find husband...its now on nairaland because that's what y'all think when a female drops comments like this..So shallow

You should have just dropped your comment in the box not mentioning me
Aunty, no vex. Very few people think like you do nowadays so don't be surprised by the way some people talk, it's just a reflection of how far they can reason.

English is our official language, they supposed to use it ,let everyone understand it. Some people in the Army may not even know the meaning of the inscription.
The colonial masters saw Arabic as the Latin of Africa and it was more like a transnational and generally understood language according to them. I guess Ghana and Sierra Leone also inherited Arabic Insignia from Britain but decided to change theirs. NN and NAF don't have Arabic inscriptions by the way.

Fortunately, that's a lie. I almost got in without knowing anyone except God and my books.
If it is not for you then don't push it. Heaven might be saving you from what you do not know.

So true. Did my investigations for a brother at UNN and got a shocker. Human being with pass (E8) in physics got medsurg but my bro with 276 and 5 distinctions didn't even see human physiology that he later paid 10k to shop for. Soooooo annoying.
