Update on financial institutions you can use for you PR application.
I could remember disturbing someone who used piggyvest and was successful, I used Branch International services (Branch loan app) and got my PR application approved.
The investment interest rate (20% per annum) was far better than the regular banking institutions interest rates.

Hi, I had the option of adding spouse's ECA which increased points even after recalculation, and that was what I did.
While some said they added after PPR, I wasn't ready to take the risk of adding after PPR.

Luckily, I got my passport request today.

Did you remove your spouse to gain more points?
Did you get married after ITA?
Your answer determines your next action.

It is not a must to get your name changed after marriage, so you can still maintain same name through out the process.

Yes you can submit your application without being licensed as that was the reason you got an NOI.

Never thought of this but i was meant to understand that they will reject your application once a document is missing.

OINP will reject your application outrightly if your submitted doc are not complete.

The only way is to wait till 40th day before submitting as you have 45 days to submit.

I am currently in Angola and there is no VAC here besides I am not yet eligible to even get a leave to travel out. I am really confused as to what to do, I also r read on the invite that I can raise webform to differ. Is it advisable to go that route stating I have been refused leave and attaching proof that I am in Angola and documents to back my claim? I don't know how it will affect the application

Since you expected BIL to be received by Jan, then you can still give your biometrics in before the 30 days elapse.
Note that you have 30 days from the day you received the BIL to get it done.

What you need after your masters is PhD, BCS won't add to your points.

It's PPR time!!!! I am grateful for the valuable resource and advice I got from Nairaland. There's so much wealth of information here. @Graciouswords, thank you so much for your valuable input both here and on the TEF thread. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have known that it was possible to make adjustments (to reduce my points) that will enable me to receive a nomination from OINP (since my points was far above what they were picking at the time) Here is my timeline

NOI - 28th April 2022
Submitted - 11th May 2022
Assessment - 12 Aug. 2022
DIP - 9th Sept. 2022
Nomination - 4th Oct. 2022
ITA- 12th Oct. 2022
AOR - 20th Oct. 2022
PR approval - 5 Dec. 2022

Now I need advice. My family is currently waiting for our PR cards in a different province where hubby is schooling. We plan to move to Ontario next year in October when hubby completes his school. Will this cause an issue? Do we need to move to Ontario as soon as we receive our PR card? Is there an option to do "soft landing" in Ontario and move there later when we are ready? Your valuable input will be very much appreciated.

Sad reality is that you need at least N8.2m as at this moment for your POF for a family of 4. Approximately 2m for federal application fees.
These are the basics but your circumstance will determine how much more you need to spend on this journey.
Certificate evaluation at least 140k, language test 83k, medicals 160k for a family of 4.

Please try remarking your writing, your CRS will be low without 7 in writing against others.

My transcripts have been sent to Wes and have also gotten a mail from them to confirm it. Evaluation is ongoing and No additional documents are required.

PS: The woman charged me 20k to speed up the process of sending the transcripts to Wes and it took roughly 4weeks.

So concerning this issue by @green..... ( dint get the name) u can try to proceed with ur application spouse unaccompanied nd add ur spouse as soon as u get ur ppr... dat is d way to go.
Dat is what I have done what some others that I av assisted has done and it has worked.
So choose ur options wisely.

So sorry, i haven’t on here in a while. I didn’t submit any letter of indebtedness. The letters i got from piggyvest and my bank was used as given and nothing else was requested.

I found no where stated on the reference letter that the fund is unencumbered, did you get letter of non indebtedness from your traditional bank or just the letter from piggyvest was used.

I meant you ought to have known how to calculate CRS points by now. This is one of the reasons some people here in Canada are stuck, can't even get to know how to do little programs like grade 12, PSW etc and after 20yrs, they will be crying. I have seen them. Go through the links on page 1.

I suspect the answer is yes to all 3 questions but I cannot say it with my full chest.

If draws continue at this pace and scores drop by 5 points, even at 485 you may still be safe and get ITA before year end.

If it were me, I would beg/convince spouse to redo IELTS immediately, hope for 8777 and see if you can get that before end of Oct.

Some say they changed spouse to accompanying after PPR (not AOR), you can try this if you have the liver. Search NL for Remicynt's posts and search on Canada.visa too. Any changes you make post AOR but before PPR may lead to a recalculation of CRS AFAIK.

Spouse is willing to get IELTS done but we hope on a good outcome as tight schedule might affect good outcome. IELTS will be done before the 1st draw in Nov to boost the CRS.

We can't risk adding after PPR.

I need your suggestions here please.
I am currently in the pool with 490, french done and some point got from spouse. Spouse can still add about 8 points if 8777 is achieved but too occupied for preparation and that might not be fully attained.
I will be losing points due to birthday before the second draw in Nov.
According to my calculations, 1st draw in Nov will be around lower 490s and I don't want to take chances, not getting ITA this period means my score will fall to 485 which is another long wait.
1. Making my profile unaccompanied will get me the ITA 1st draw in Nov, can I still add spouse's IELTS before AOR if the new IELTS gives more points than what it is?
*I know VOs recalculate CRS with the day's draw, hence reason for waiting for 1st draw in NOV to make the draw close to what we can achieve incase there will be a recalculation.*
2. Incase 8777 is not achieved before AOR, can the application be submitted unaccompanied hopefully to keep trying IELTS and get more than the draw point while the application process is still ongoing.
3. Will the spouse's IELTS be requested when we decide to make the application accompanied after AOR?

Let me give you a naughty response.
If it's by using language spoken in the country, Nigerians won't need IELTS to apply for study visa.
If it's by using language spoken in the country, China, Pakistan, Philippines ...will have no language to input as primary language.

You are only advised to use the one with the highest as primary to give you maximum points.
Don't give money to MOD/BC anymore as your IELTS result is already enough to support your TEF.

So, I have been able to pay for WES, and now need to request and send my credentials. I learned it can be fast if I used ETX.NG so I contacted them, and here is what I was told. Please advise:

1. That I would need to pay N57,650 for each transcript (ND, HND, PGD) = N172,950
2. Once the credentials get to WES (even through ETX.NG), WES would still send mail to my school for second-level verification, now I think this is where schools ask for money again before responding to WES. Is this correct?
3. Now, calculating this together, it will be about N200,000 + $250CAD paid to WES = ~N320,000

Please what can I do?
Who had gotten transcripts from Open University to WES before, how was the experience?
Who had sent transcripts from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic to WES before, how long did it take you in total?

NB, if I am to try to get the credentials myself, it will cost, ~N70,000 for MAPOLY (ND + HND + courier + email verification), and N25,000 for NOUN, given ~N100,000, but I am kind of feeling somehow about the timeline it might take for the credentials to get to WES eventually.

Please advise.

I wanted to counter this post when I first saw it but thought otherwise as not everyone is a scammer.

This post had an evil intent and it was great no one indicated here or fell victim here. This guy scammed people on the clearance sales thread while still claiming he was en-route canada whereas he wasn't. He even posted downloaded images off the net to deceive people he was in canada.
