lordfalcao: We underate cucurella alot.
Cucurella is currently top 5 in left back now
Cucurella is tactically fit for any position you want to play him.
One of the top, aggressive and strong 1v1 defenders at left back. You have your reservations for Cucurella whilst I have mine for Kerkez. Both have been good players for their respective teams, but the stats I just threw out clearly shows you which player has been better this season. |

I expect strong resistance from Spuds, but we can nick a win with this lineup.
Good to see Palmer and Jackson back in the lineup. |

Ihebu4chelsea: Of course, Kerkez is not better than cucurella. We don't appreciate our own. If we must get any player from Bournemouth, it should be Hujsen and semenyo. lordfalcao: I cannot even take kerkez over cucurella You two are good Chelsea fans I actually love their modest style of commenting on this thread, don’t ruin that growing legacy by reading comments and learning from a football neophyte like airmark who doesn’t know zilch about tactics or football dynamics in general. Check through his history of posts since he signed up on this forum, 95% of them can be attributed to “my prick is bigger than your prick” esque debates, which are usually accompanied by needless insults and unnecessary personals. He doesn’t talk football but only documentaries on comparisons of teams and players, that’s his forte. Now back to the cruz of the matter, the only area Cucurella has trumped Kerkez this season is on tackles, bar that, the kid is head and neck ahead of him in overall performance. Maybe Chelsea are equally stupid to be eyeing the Hungarian as a potential replacement/upgrade to Cucurella, whilst Liverpool, Spurs, and Arsenal are all keeping tabs on him according to CaughtOffside.

AirBere: If the idea is to play Santos, Enzo and Caicedo in a midfield 3, then Enzo should be the deepest as he knows how to control tempo better than both. Deep Lying Play maker alas Jorhinho, Carrick, Pirlo, Kroos style. Since he's the slowest and can't really attack at pace or enough power to win back possession up top via pressing.
I think It should be Enzo deepest, flanked by two work horses in Santos and Caicedo. If Enzo can't do a job deeper like he did with Argentina in the world cup then he should be sold. He's very poor in attacking areas, lacks pace too. I totally agree with this assessment. We know he’s the short one in that midfield and needs a minimal defined role than the other two. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Griffon: 5:58pm On Apr 02, 2025 |
Gucciboy: Yeah he's combative and physically ready for dm role and premier league football but he's got a lot of room for improvement.
For Andrey Santos. He's fully ready. One of the best midfielders in Europe.
He's a goal scoring midfielder, a box to box midfielder and a defensive midfielder. 3 in 1 modern midfielder if he's a Barca player he would be getting balon d'or shouts
Next season should be Andrey x caicedo in double pivot. I think we would be more dominant with a midfield triumvirate of Andrey, Caicedo and Enzo. That’s a midfield of two runners and one stroller (sic) that can recycle possession. For all Enzo’s laziness, I think he has the abilities to keep the ball and prevent the opposition from gaining possession - something Caicedo and to a lesser extent Andrey aren’t great at. We can easily see our team, breaking up opposition play (Caicedo/Andrey), winning possession and swiftly getting the ball away from the immediate area of attack (Enzo), to any of the attacking players who is in a deeper position, allowing us to restart the build-up from a different area of the pitch. This would make us look quite unpredictable and dangerous when initiating an attacking play. Then Palmer should be permanently moved to the right wing and allowed to go shine. A new right-footed left winger should be a top priority for the club, Sancho isn’t the man. If only we had snapped Kvaratskhelia, but then there’s Wirtz or Musiala we can break the bank on. I rate the two highly for the LW position. Then a bid has to be made for a new striker as we have been found out in that area. Hincapie and Guehi won’t be bad choices for the CB partnership, as Colwill, and that teen boy deputizes. Is Kerkez available? That would be an icing on the cake for us. The rest of the deadwoods should be placed on a Black Friday Sales on Temu. Jorgensen James - Guehi - Hincapie - Kerkez Caicedo - Andrey - Enzo Palmer - Jackson (Phuck Airmark ) - Wirtz. |

BlueMann: Very very. We missed a number of good chances.
The girls are gonna have to be dominant and clinical, but they can do it. I feel it’s just the profligacy in front of goal, bar that, we dominated both fixtures and should have won convincingly. Today we had 8 shots on target, 6 of those were saved by the City goalie, two found the onion bag while one hit the woodwork. That’s decisiveness and an obvious upgrade on our last outing against them. Our XG was at 2.67, and we enjoyed a large chunk of the possession today. We’re beating these girls in London. |
