Roberto Carlos in the same bracket as Ashley Cole is a violation

Carlos and Marcelo £1 is another violation

Ramos in the same category as Terry yet another violation.

That said, my back 4 is

Cafu, Ramos, Maldini, R. Carlos
Omo eh, Carlos was something else though.

I'll pick Alves and Lahm before thinking about centrebacks

With the £4 left, I'll take Ferdinand and Ramos because I want the option to play highline and Terry and Vidic ain't suited to it
For what defending was entirely all about, Baresi shits on Alves. Only that the latter was a demon going forward.

Then I don’t think anyone would rate Rio ahead of Maldini in any footie convo. I just don’t see how the English man edges him, maybe because many tend to think of Paulo just as a full-back.

You have £10 to complete the perfect back four.

Baresi - Vidic - Maldini - Ashley Cole

This is a big time recreation of the 1997/98 home jersey. It’s just in my head as I type.

We should be looking at some innovative ideas for our wears other than sparking up memories of Ed De Goey, Dan Petrescu, Celestine Babayaro, Ruud Gullit, Frank LeBoeuf, Steve Clarke, Gustavo Poyet, Gianluca Vialli, Mark Hughes, Dennis Wise, Di Matteo, Zola et al cheesy

Caicedo next ,then a striker and keeper ,and that's a wrap on our revolution.

We trim the squad along the way prepare for next season, man rivals won't know what hit them
I’m not sold on what we have as options at the wide positions.

Pulisic, Ziyech and CHO looks likely to leave this summer, while Mudryk and Noni are struggling to come to terms with the demands of the PL. That realistically leaves you with just an erratic Sterling.

Nkunku is a second striker and can’t be bothered with the wing duties.

I feel we should have made a move for Asensio who is going to become a free agent this summer. May not be a regular but definitely a good option for squad depth.

Our overall output is at an all time low. We could end up getting a 20-goals a season CF and still stay useless because of the drabs at our wide positions.

You are ignoring the ultra-good portions and concentrating on coachable elements. He 22. Extremely malleable at this age. If Poch wants him to sit to earn a place in the team, he will sit.

You are talking of a 6-foot, combative midfielder, who has an engine the size of Kante's at the least, with an unusual ability to read passing lanes intelligently, and cut passes off before they happen. Those abilities in one single player don't come around often. Especially when it is apparent at 22. I will take that off the market first, then coach the less desirable off him.
Seen couple of his clips. Quite an aggressive, traditional DM. Gives the Roy Keane vibes. However, he looks susceptible to late lunges, and may get exposed by the fast tempo of the PL or the big teams in Europe.

But then, I suppose the proof of the pudding is in the tasting. He may just need to be here first for his skill set to be appreciated.

NWC Committee rejects Playoff Draw

The National Working Committee of FPL have rejected the primary results submitted for the Nairaland FA Cup playoff draw

League heavyweights such as twice league winners and four time FA cup winners, Ipukulu FC is conspicuously absent from the draw as is FPL luminary and 2 time league and FA Cup champion Brutallion FC managed by OAM4J

In an interview with Thisday, Ipukulu manager TamunoIbime Ayapripri rejected the playoff outcome, describing Playoff contenders Obainojazz, Iamoyindamola, Timbros and Iykmora as paper tigers. Ayapripri noted in particular that Ipukulu scored more overall points than Jazz FC yet Jazz FC managed to dollarise their way into the playoffs

Brutallion manager OAM4J has put together a legal team to challenge the results in court which may lead to expulsion of all playoff contenders. At time of writing, the kitchen cabinet and cabals around Ipukulu camp are urging their patron to petition league administrator Mukina2 to delete the league.

It promises to be an interesting time in FPL over the coming weeks

He is primarily a right winger, same as Chukwueze

You go soon wake up from this AM nonsense that is befalling lazy Nigerians and foolish Chelsea fans

Your team was successful with 3 CMs and 3 forwards, it's when you went chasing specialist AM like Coutinho and Griezmann that you fell down

Any AM that can't function as a CM is a waste of space. Check Pep team, all his central attacking midfielders are primarily CM (KDB, Gundogan, Bernardo). Olise can't function as a CM, so that AM talk is a continuation of the foolishness we see on this thread week in, week out
IB what’s your take on Bruno Fernandes as regards to this?

Can you trust him well enough in a CM position?

I dey fear people wey get a mad IQ, and it’s easily one of the reasons I don’t berate Frankie.

He could be a system manager who needs the right funds to build the sort of team he desires to play with, and a glance at his managerial career clearly shows that he hasn’t been privileged to work with such budget or even players.

It’s been shitty teams to work with, from Wigan to Chelsea (who were then placed under a transfer ban), to an ancestry inconsistent Everton side.

While he had an unfortunate brief stint with us, he was able to produce one of the best right backs in world football, one of the best defenders in Italy, one of the best forwards in Italy and a hardworking astute player in Mount.

This is the first time in his career he will be inheriting a good squad that has just a couple of dysfunctions. He could have some great ideas waiting to be explored.
