👏 Everything was pointing at him becoming the new captain. He’s a proper Chels. Dedicated, top professional, influential and passionate. Yet another Cobham trained Skippo. |

Not just Kepa, Raheem Sterling is also on the list of Tuchel. Bayern have offered £43m. Chelsea yet to respond - they thought Bayern were hacked.
Tuchel is one of us. |

raumdeuter: Who was the CDM here for Argentina What do you know about midfield play? You’re seeing a three man midfield and you’re asking who is the CDM. That’s a midfield trio of ball carriers, line breakers, markers etc. Do we have such? Who are the midfielders we have? We lost key members of that midfield and you feel we shouldn’t replace them because we have a 100milla man? You are funny. Your Jorginho had RLC, Kovacic, Kante and Mount and still served us half baked beans. Man still went to Arsenal as a DM, but the club sensing his uselessness went ahead to fork out 100milla to buy Rice untop him head. What could be worse? English football and its history isn’t your forte. You always come short when you try to choose sides or players in EPL. You know nothing about this league. Just stick to analyzing the Bundesliga and how Italia 90 was played. |

popizaino: You are asking and loving a right footed winger to play from the right side of attack.....isn't this what i suggested about Ziyech too till you all call me an old man. 😀 The idea looks juicy because he has been offering little from the LW as an inverted winger, then his cameo performance at that right last night suggests something nice is in the bag. |

I’ll say, on paper this looks like our best XI:
Kepa; James, Thiago Silva, Colwill, Chilwell; Enzo Fernandez, Gallagher, Chukwuemeka; Mudryk, Jackson, Nkunku.
I’ll love to see Mudryk switch to the RW as he impressed there during the dying minutes of the game, while Nkunku takes the LW.
Our biggest concern remains a DM. I don’t know how good that Ugochukwu boy can come. Having a good DM, Enzo and Gallagher in that midfield can create some energy that’ll be hard to match. |

Brace up boys, you’ll be seeing more of the long balls from the back this season. Poch seems to be working on different in-game plans and those long balls are definitely in his list.
He has a striker whose timing and runs are bliss, he’ll be making the most of that. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Griffon: 2:34am On Aug 03, 2023 |
So far, we’ve not been decisive in front of goal, with only one shot on target recorded.
Creating chances upon chances against a top opposition was never going to come easy but we’ve squeezed out a few and should have buried them.
Sterling has been seeing lot of the ball tonight but has failed to make any significant impact on the third half.
I feel we’ll have a long season if Nkunku stays out for so long at any point. He seems to be the only one who links up play perfectly well with Jackson.

Unlimited22: Get a good goalie and this can win you titles tbh.
Caicdeo/Enzo/Andrey/Emeka is also a pretty damn good pivot selection list.
Jackson and Nkunku are good enough.
Even Madueke and Angelo on the RW.
The issues na LW, Nkunku backup (Casadei isn't quite there yet), GK and the fact we're yet to sign a DM.
Caicedo, Olise solve two huge issues of DM and backup for Nkunku/RW. Even Sanchez isn't a bad goalie and his major issue is that he fell out with DE Zerbi. Bro went to the euros ahead of the Simon Ekpa in our own post.
The LW own, we need to sell Sterling first. We need a real threat from that LW. Someone whose game is slightly different from Mudryk’s. I wouldn’t mind making a bid for Napoli’s Kvaratskhelia. Give them Sterling and Cucurella + 50milla. |

BlueAngel444: which complaint did he voice?
He said he needs experience in the midfield how is that a complaint, if poch doesn't say anything Chelsea will still sign a midfielder or is it Dybala he rumored to want that Chelsea didn't go for or Martinez from a club Chelsea broke communication with because of Lukaku.
The same Poch was quoted praising Kepa and saying he is first choice and Chelsea is going for a cheap option to compete with Kepa. Why una like dey create drama I know you'll sing. Egbon were you not the one saying our midfield is good to go weeks ago after watchin us beat Wrexham? How come you are now seeing reasons with Posh, tactically shifting goal post to where I stood a week ago? Griffon: Then again, this isn’t the midfield you take to the league.
They had a field day against Wrexham but are struggling to resist the press of Brighton tonight. Imagine when City or Liverpool calls.
Simple football lesson I was dishing out for free to Blueangel. BlueAngel444: "Your opponents are busy getting top players on every position and you’re here giving me reasons why I should accept Santos et al in the middle of the park?"
You don't need to get vulgar in Ur imagination of someone's opinion you know nothing about, but tell yourself the truth about the nonsense you believe. Which top players in every position? City literally won the treble with the very player many of you here didn't want Chelsea to sign back, Ake, what about Jones, let's not talk about Akanji. Which team is signing top players in every position, is it in EpL (not PSG) is it Arsenal, the same team I used as example that worked with what they had before going for big names. Are u saying the top talent is Rice and Havertz in every position, Timber as well.
Come off it, it's ur business if u can't accept Santos as a midfielder in Chelsea, I listed 6 midfielders for a 2 man position, in a 4231 obviously if or when Caicedo is signed Santos is a back up. But no, who gives a F if u accept a player Chelsea has already bought and the manager is already playing.
Dude support your club and the players they have n stop whining about candy in someone else's mouth. By the way Chelsea fans deserve to celebrate every victory they watch, it's wasn't easy these past month watching nonsense and no goals. If you're not happy rest. |

Capaldi: He is in the lowest 4th percentile for tackles. This could mean he’s really bad at duels, he is extremely passive, nobody dares even attempt to take him on because he’s that good (meaning he doesn’t get the opportunity to tackle), or he’s a better version of prime Maldini and doesn’t need to tackle cos he never makes a mistake and is never out of position. He has also been used as full backs on numerous occasions which means he is very good 1v1 in wide positions. I’ve been seeing his clips. That niggur is a ball playing thug. |
