Chelsea have never quite started any Champions League campaign as favourites, but look what we've become now.

I'll be looking forward to this line-up for tonight's opener:

Mendy; Azpilicueta (c), Christensen, Rudiger; James Jorginho Kovacic Chillwell; Mount Lukaku Werner.

The last time we won the UCL, we imploded the next season. However, that doesn't seem like it is going to be the case this time. Unlike the team of 2013, this current holders are darn sight more solid than the motley crew of misfits we had few years back. This current holders have no issue of structural defect. Roman Abramovich and his peers aren't forcing down the MAZACAR or anyother avant-garde on us this time. And lastly, in place of the rookie RDM, we have Tuchel.

I expect us two reach the semis or even go ahead to defend the title next year. It isn't going to be a smooth run as we have PSG, Bayern and City as our biggest threats this season. The journey begins tonight, let's go all out and make history.

I don't have a problem with that display one bit. It is not like it was coming from the Club officially, that gesture was planned and carried out by some section of the fans in appreciation of one of the club’s most exciting academy graduates.
