No my mind works at 500km/h sometimes my ideas are way too out there and I need a bit of a reality check in the form of a firm no.

MissRaine69:
Physical qualities?

1.The ability to have an intelligent conversation
People find me a little condescending at times. So, I normally hide my intellect - until I am sure you can handle "intelligent" for all its worth.

2.Reads books and newspapers (electronic is fine but NL is not part of that list)
Libgen, openlibrary, gutenberg but still prefer real books (the scent of paper). However, I am only interested in - emerging markets, technological innovation and software development. You can gain a lot of insight just reading Nairaland conversations; however you need to learn to ignore the noise.

3.Open minded regarding cultures, food and other societies that exist
Born, raised and attended undergrad in the north, Lagos - 3yrs, US - 4yrs, Abuja - 2yrs; Now in Abuja. No - I am not rich; but I do have dedicated and supportive benefactors.

Nephews and nieces from SW and SE, cousins from SE, SS, NC. Muslims and Christians (we hate hypocrites and extremists)
A cousin from NC ; a Muslim - just got married to a Christian from the East.

Yeah, maybe I'm a little to open minded. embarassed

4.Not God fearing -
I missed Church 3 times in a row this month; does this count?

5.Confident and understands sarcasm
Confidence - cool
Sarcasm - tongue

6.Ambitious with purpose
Purpose - I read this entire thread, and I am engaging for a reason.
Ambitious - You can have a list of all my failed projects, whenever you want. grin

7.supportive without feeling threatened
I'd expect as much from you as you would from me.

Want to be a housewife/stay at home mum; cool! But you need to be dedicated, committed, industrious, and supportive.
Want to be a working class wife; cool! But don't go sleeping with the upper management to get a promotion or keep your job.
And, don't start acting like El-Chapo because you make a million or two more than I do. I am a Libran and I don't measure my success in life
by the amount of money I have instead, I measure it by the number of people I have made happy with the money I have. So, if your extra stash is
not going to make us happy ... were done. No room for fake friends!

8.Assertive without being chauvinistic sometimes I do need to be told no as I do function a little differently
You mean you act like a child in a toy store when you do not get what you want?
I'd just spank you when we get home - you had it coming! angry

Above all high drive and be good in the sack
This here is just a red flag for yours truly. I have thought about this - women talking publicly about their sexual preferences or similar. And, I have come to the conclusion that it is in bad taste. Women go through a great deal to conceal their ages, yet they talk about sex "publicly" like its a contest.

Why would you conceal your age, but easily discuss sex? Once a girl starts talking about sex, "publicly" - my mental measuring tape appears and I working tirelessly to estimate the number of sexual partners "she" has had.

When you go to buy a used car (this is Nigeria); what interests you most? The vehicle's age or mileage?

Men use sex talk to gauge your mileage! Not that this is a bad thing, but you certainly want to hold your cards close to your chest for as long as you can.

Absolutely disillusioned grin South west had cause to be confident of winning the next federal election in 2023.APC had become a formidable party in the country.

Did you see the results of the Presidential election?

Would any right thinking politician not have sleepless nights regarding the "position" of the south west in Nigerian politics.

The north is simply doing what the South West did in the presidential elections - hedge.

We all saw the signs; a Kano state based political stalwart had given Nigeria the heads up - that the north will not give block votes in the 2023 elections.

One of the reasons the USA is what it is today is because of immigrants. I bet Lagos also shares this trait. So stop the hate, it pays no one. Peace!

Lived in the US for 4 years, NY (2), NJ(1) and DC(1) "my residency is established in NY". All cities with heavy immigrant populations; successful immigrants if I may add.

And, I have never heard any of these immigrant groups or ethnicity claim they made or are making America.

If Nigeria’s population growth remains unchecked, the country is set to become the third most populous country in the world in 31 years’ time. The United Nations projects that by 2050, Nigeria’s population would leapfrog that of the US to queue behind India and China. That would be a recipe for disaster if nothing is done to slow down the rate of growth.

I wonder what Lagos would look like without Tinubu.

Tinubu is the one of very few politicians to survive Obasanjo.

From all indications PDP has succeeded in destroying the only feature that makes the West appealing; that is religious neutrality.

Now all you hear is Yoruba Muslim and Yoruba Christian.

PS: Lagos mainland is smelly.
