This is when they are between 27 and 30. However, when they see a young girl 19 - 23 bitting the bullet and getting hitched young. They turn into activists and start advising young girls on the importance of "finding yourself" or "exploring the world" before marriage. I will continue to say this to anyone who cares to listen. It is only in a woman's youth, does share have the rare opportunity to select a husband.. Once your in your mid 20's your value begins to depreciate geometrically. A woman's youth is her only guarantee to "select a husband". Selecting a husband is very important. Like they say "the worst time to eat is when you are hungry". NB: This is the definition of "select": carefully choose as being the best or most suitable. When you select your "choose", "accept", "take" but you do not discard, or disapprove nor do you declare "unfit". |

ednut1: I call this the philosophy of the mediocre! This is going to be a difficult read. An undergrad should spend 4 years in a social or management science course at a University or Polytechnic. Would it be normal if this undergrad languishes for 5, 6 or 7 years at the university because he neglected his studies? Your statement above assumes thus "As long as the undergrad eventually graduates all is well. And it does not matter if a student could have graduated 3 years or fewer years earlier even if he had the power to do so, because he may even get a job faster than his counterparts who graduated promptly" However, what if he had graduated at the same time with his colleagues; could he have been 3, 4 or 5 years ahead of them in work experience; could he not have started working at an earlier age and learned 3 years ago, what he is learning today? When you decide to travel from Lagos to Abuja; You start the journey as early as possible, you can start it otherwise ... in the afternoon or evening but you will not get to Abuja earlier than a traveler who starts the journey at the break of dawn. Now using this "Lagos to Abuja" scenario can you see how mediocre, even inferior your position above sounds. If we have 10 cars and 5 start the journey in the afternoon and the other in the morning. The cars who leave at dawn will get to the destination earlier, and experience the journey at a favorable. If any morning cars reach the destination late, they proly had a major delay. Your position is that because a car who sets out at dawn may have a major delay, and not make the journey on time - it is ok we start that we start our journey in the evening. 4 Likes |

When the law says; anyone who commits crime A is subject to arrest and prosecution. When you commit that crime "A" are you not in risk of arrest and prosecution. If a girl willingly loses her virginity, it says a great deal about her character; the same way missing government funds says a lot about a government officials character. In summary, if you tell your self "black is white" enough times, you actually believe it. But it does not make it so. True Value vs Percieved Value Gold is valuable because it is scarce Oil is valuable because it is scarce Water is valuable because quality drinking water is scarce Air is valuable because the earth is running out of clean air. Virgins are valuable because they are scarce, the supply cannot meet the demand. Unvirgins are valuable to you because of your "good character" clause, however, it is perceived value. The demand for unvirgins is lower than the supply. See brothels, Imessage, Instagram, including your sexually active girlfriend or sidechick. So unvirgins no matter the "good character" cannot hold more value than a virgin - regardless of the virgins character "bad or good" because that is not what is used to determine the TRUE VALUE. |

Your thinking, it has gone 30K miles, it must be able to go another 30K miles without breaking down. I can't buy a new car, it has not passed through the rigors of Nigerian roads, neither has it experienced the prowess of Nigerian mechanics nor has it drank the elixir that is adulterated Nigerian fuel. That was not to say I don't value virginity, it's just that I don't think it's a prerequisite for a perfect union. So keep your distance until you are sure. 70% of the features you want in a woman can be observed and confirmed without speaking a word to her. And, I am not talking about physical features; my 13-year-old nephew can figure that one out. Once you are sure, you won't need a second opinion. And, that's why you are here, and that's why I said: "you may not end up with here". If you were 90% sure there is gold under your feet would you not be digging by now. And, if you are 90% sure, she has 70% of the features you want in a girl, would you not find a way to speak to her, discounting all the challenges you may perceive. |

Your the problem at this point and not your future bride. As men we must not forget our duties are not only to provide financially, but as men and leaders we must constantly remind ourselves that our wives or wives-to-be need other things from men apart from money and the occasional "I love you's" plus the activities that come with it. Emotional security, Stability, Congruence and Support (not financial) are important virtues. As men it is in our benefit that we nurture or at least attempt to attain all or many of these virtues. If a child is scared of the dark, and still must pass through a dark room or corner to reach a destination; how would you encourage this child to do so? If a woman you love, has mediocre culinary skills, how do you ensure the woman you love develops exceptional culinary skills? Men should not recoil at a challenge because it has to many sharp bends, or because it seems like an insurmountable hurdle. For, is it not through our dogged determination we went from walking to flying, from huts to skyscrapers and from the cold hands of death to chloroquine. I dare not say women have achieved nothing, because they have. However, I am talking to you - man to man, as such I must speak as a man! When you go to family events do you stay close to her and hold her hands as you speak to people. You know when she is accustomed to your family members her phobia will subside. And, when you go out with friends, do your friends come along with their wives or wives-to-be; if they do, why don't you find a way to get her well acquainted with these ladies? You cannot plant corn and yet hope to harvest wheat. If you want corn, you plant corn, and if you want a more social wife you must plant that seed and nurture it until it grows.
