Don't do any business.

A person does not invest in business he does not understand or have passion for.

Go sit first and see what is needed and learn and understand the skills required to meet the need and you will make money.

I can tell you selling cow meanwhile you can not take care of simple poultry

I can tell you Keke napep in Ibadan meanwhile you don't have patience for such capital.

INVESTMENT is not BUSINESS. They both bring money but differ in participation. You don't participate in whatever you invest in... But you must participate in the business.

Business is based on skill and preference, not on have 500k that you want to use.

Pls any advice given here may not work for you.

You may not even be good in marketing so if I tell you importing rare products that give me money weekly, you may do it and go broke... Pls reconsider

BusinessRe: News Why CBN May Devalue Naira This Year — Report by Growing(m): 7:57pm On Jan 22, 2020
SoNature:
While digital currency may have most of the qualities of money, it will be very difficult for it to completely replace fiat currency in half a century.

You see, digital money has lots of downsides. For instance, nobody wants to gamble with it because it's volatile, prone to speculation and can be manipulated.

To date, US financial watchdogs SEC still believes that the unprecedented rise of Bitcoin in Q4 2017/Q1 2018 was manipulated by some whales. Nobody wants a currency that is vulnerable to manipulation controlling her economy. You cannot plan with it.

No matter how much digital currency evangelists pretend, that "currency" cannot go anywhere without the government. If the worst comes to the worst, governments will start minting their stablecoins (with fiat currency backing) and be issuing them to their peoples. Governments want to be in charge of whatever happens in their jurisdictions, including the amount of money in circulation. That's common sense.

If Bitcoin and its ilk will ever replace fiat currency, then the government must regulate the mining (minting) and circulation of cryptos. More importantly, the developers will work with the government to figure out how to reduce its anonymity so as to stop it from fueling illegal activities on the dark web.
Nice argument.

Yes, digital currency is volatile today but you seem not to know that the volatility will gradually decrease over time.

Decades ago when the US government asked that US citizens turn in their gold, what did many do? They hoarded it even if hoarding was AGAINST THE LAW.

Why is government so interested in controlling money? Because that is the source of their power. People are manipulating bitcoin today, yes. But from 2009 when bitcoin started, the price has greatly appreciated. Central banks around the world in collusion with commercial banks and government are manipulating fiat currency and their value is falling.

BITCOIN'S VALUE IS APPRECIATING OVER TIME BUT YOUR FIAT CURRENCY IS BEING GREATLY DEVALUED OVER TIME. Common sense can get this.

Let governments create their own coins, they will still manipulate them and their value will still fall over time. Bitcoin is decentralized. Your fiat is centralized. The decentralized will win over time. Why? IT IS DECENTRALIZED.

The argument that crypto currency is being used for illegal activities is true but laughable. Guess what, fiat is also being used for illegal activities. The man connected with silk road was caught even though he used bitcoin. The transactions on the blockchain led to him. My point is this: FIAT IS USED MORE FOR ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES AND IF YOU ARE A CRIMINAL, IT IS BETTER TO USE FIAT RATHER THAN CRYPTOCURRENCY.

Greece suffered hyperinflation, many of them crossed to bitcoin regardless of what their government said about it. Venezuela suffered hyperinflation, many of them crossed to bitcoin regardless of what their government said. Same thing happened in Zimbabwe. The citizens acutely suffering the consequences of fiat currency manipulation get what bitcoin stands for. They don't need an evangelist. It is those who still think they are safe with their fiat even though they are losing the value that still don't get it and are defending government control of money. Come to think of it, can't money be backed by something and left on its own for the market to decide. Why must government control money?

Lastly, many people should not suffer because of of few. The people in illegal activities around crypto (as well as fiat) are few compared to the rest. There is a better way for addressing the problem than pushing government control to ruin of many.
BusinessRe: News Why CBN May Devalue Naira This Year — Report by Growing(m): 11:18pm On Jan 21, 2020
As long as as there is a central bank, there will be continual devaluation.

It is not an accident that virtually all countries are in debt.

People don't understand the real cause of inflation. You think it is the price of things going up. That is the sign. What causes that is eye-opening. They do not teach us about money in school for a reason.

Inflation is not funny. It is slowly but surely leading to what has happened in Greece, Venezuela, Zimbabwe...

This is why everybody should study bitcoin. I did not say pay attention to the price. I mean study that technology called bitcoin.

50 years from today there may be no Naira or dollar. Inflation will destroy them. 50 years from today, there will most likely be bitcoin. Bitcoin may be enjoying mass adoption by then.

BusinessRe: Stock Market Loses N71 Billion As Investors Play Safe by Growing(m): 2:27pm On Dec 09, 2019
Unknown to the majority of people around the world, in 2008, the American financial crisis almost went to a financial collapse. Because the monetary system the world operates (which we are not taught in school) is interlinked through central banks, that financial collapse would have wiped out the stock and bond market of the entire world. The reason this did not happen is that the Federal Reserve printed money out of thin air. That did not solve the problem but pretended to do so while postponing the doomsday.

For reasons I may not go into details here, there may be a global economic recession or even collapse in the later part of 2020 or in 2021.

THIS IS NOT A GOOD TIME FOR ANYBODY TO HAVE STOCKS OR BONDS. If you have been following what is happening in global finance (which is hardly discussed in traditional media), you will see why my capitalized sentence is apparent.

MMM was a ponzi scheme but THE GREATEST PONZI SCHEME IS THE FINANCIAL SYSTEM OPERATING AROUND THE WORLD TODAY.

Assignment: Make it a duty to educate yourself on the monetary system. Why? So you can make informed financial decisions.

You think your money in the bank is secured. THINK AGAIN.

DNA

Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) was first observed by a German biochemist named Frederich Miescher in 1869. However for many years, researchers did not realize the importance of this molecule. It was not until 1953 that James Watson, Francis Crick, Maurice Wilkins and Rosalind Franklin figured out the structure of DNA – a double helix – which they realized could carry biological information.

DNA is a molecule that contains the instructions an organism needs to develop, live, and reproduce. These instructions are found inside every cell and are passed down from parents to their children.

DNA is a two-stranded molecule that appears twisted, giving it a unique shape referred to as the double helix. Each of the two strands is a long sequence of nucleotides or individual units made of a phosphate molecule, a sugar molecule called deoxyribose which contains five carbons, and a nitrogen-containing region.

There are four types of nitrogen-containing regions called bases: adenine (A), cytosine (C), guanine (G), and thymine (T). The order of these four bases forms the genetic code which carries information to the cell telling the cell how to behave.

The bases of the two strands of DNA are stuck together to create a ladder-like shape. Within the ladder the bases are in pairs – A always sticks to T, and G always sticks to C. These base pairs create the “rungs.” Human DNA has 3 billion base pairs. The length of the ladder is formed by the sugar and phosphate groups.

Similar to the way the order of letters in the alphabet can be used to form a word, the order of nitrogen bases in a DNA sequence forms genes which tells cells how to make proteins in the language of the cell.

Strands of DNA are looped, coiled, and wrapped around proteins called histones. In this coiled state, it is called chromatin. Chromatin is further condensed through a process called supercoiling and it is then packaged into structures called chromosomes. Each chromosome contains one DNA molecule. Humans have 23 pairs of chromosomes or 46 chromosomes in total. Half the chromosomes are inherited from one parent and half from the other. As humans we therefore have 23 chromosomes from each parent. This explains why organisms can share characteristics from both parents. A child might have brown hair like her father and short height like her mother.

Each cellular organism has DNA, although it differs in size, content, and complexity. Scientists have determined that in many higher organisms, only about 1 to 3 percent of the DNA molecule is made up of genes. A gene is a specific sequence of bases that function as a unit, carrying particular instructions for the body (or mind). Our genes can determine a myriad of “traits” including the height of our body, the colour of our eyes and hair.

Addictive relationships are always are always driven by the ego. You are “in love” with your partner but on the opposite side, your hate manifests as possessiveness, blame, anger, fear of loss, manipulation, need to be right. That type of relationship does not convey the true meaning of love. It is an unconscious relationship which stems from your attachment to the person. You are trying to find fulfillment through your partner, hence, instead of realizing your individual completeness, you think you are incomplete without the other.

A conscious relationship is not like an addictive one. The love comes from someone who is at peace with himself and is not trying to find salvation in another person. Issues may arise in a conscious relationship but partners do not lose themselves in the issue. In order to enter a conscious relationship or transform your addictive relationship to a conscious one, knowing the following can be helpful:

Love is a state of being: You have been searching for love. That is because you think love is outside of you and when you get it, you will be fulfilled. But love is not outside of you. It is not dependent on an external object or person. Love is not a thought or a feeling. Then what is love? Love is an aspect of the true nature of your being. Love is already present in you. But because your ego dominates you, you do not seem to be connected to the love in you. When your ego (false self) dissolves, what is left is who you are. When you are at home in yourself, being who you really are, your true nature manifests. In that state, you experience the love that you already have. Your love does not start with another person. It starts with you and shines through to others.
Be present: Conflicts intensify in relationships because we hardly live in the present moment. When you lose yourself in a fight, you are definitely not present. If you are present in the Now, you cannot lose yourself in a fight. You feel the need to attack and criticize your partner because your thoughts have taken over you. When you feel the need to attack, anchor yourself in the present moment by focusing on your breath – breathe in and breathe out, and be aware you are doing that. This would stop you from giving power to your thoughts and avoid a situation where you ask, “What came over me?”

Unconsciously, you fear being present because it will lead you to your pain. But your presence has power and with that power it is able to dissolve or transmute your pain.

True communication is communion: Where is the relationship without communication? If you and your partner are not really communicating then you do not have a relationship but an illusion of one. When you communicate, put aside your mind games and emotional tricks. Your communication should be to commune not to win.
Relationship does not offer salvation: When you seek salvation or fulfillment from a relationship, you are likely to suffocate the relationship by being manipulative because of the fear of your partner leaving you. Your being is already complete and so no thing or person can complete you.

Being at one with your Being is fulfillment. It is therefore not when you have a relationship that you will be fulfilled. It is when you are fulfilled that you will have a true relationship.

Cancer Prevention

In 1987, a company, Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI), launched Breast Cancer Awareness Month in USA. It is a highly publicized event which takes place every October. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is focused on educating women about early breast cancer detection with a particular focus on mammograms. Its trademark slogan is “Early Detection Is Your Best Prevention.” That may make sense or seem convincing to you but it is actually silly. By the time cancer is detected, it already exists, so what are you preventing then? Breast Cancer Awareness Month says it is about prevention but with its focus on mammograms, are people’s attention not being diverted away from real prevention?

Blood Cholesterol: One of the Strongest Predictors of Chronic Disease

Diseases of affluence is a term used in referring to selected diseases and other health conditions which are usually linked to increasing wealth and luxury in a society. They include obesity, diabetes, cancer, hypertension. The assumption has been that increased luxury and wealth result in a better quality of life but this has not really been the case. When wealth comes, there is usually a change in lifestyle and food choices which greatly affect health.

One factor that has really contributed to chronic health conditions is diet. When people have luxury, they tend to switch to western diet and adopt a sedentary lifestyle. These can be disastrous to health. Because the vast majority of people in the United States and other Western countries die from diseases of affluence, the diseases are often referred to as “Western” diseases.

In the course of the China Study, Dr. Campbell and his team compared the prevalence of Western diseases in each county with diet and lifestyle variables. To their surprise, they found that one of the strongest predictors of Western diseases was blood cholesterol.

When it comes to cholesterol, there are two main categories: dietary cholesterol and blood cholesterol.

Present in the food we eat is dietary cholesterol. Much like vitamins, minerals, fat, protein, and sugar, dietary cholesterol is a component of food. Where is this cholesterol found? Only in animal-based food. It is the one you find on food labels. How many organ meat did you eat last week? Your doctor cannot measure that just as he cannot measure dietary cholesterol. When your doctor checks your cholesterol levels, he cannot know how much dietary cholesterol you consume. What your doctor measures is the amount of cholesterol present in your blood. This second type of cholesterol which is made in the liver is called “blood cholesterol.” Dietary cholesterol and blood cholesterol are identical but they do not represent the same thing. Dietary cholesterol does not necessarily turn into blood cholesterol. Hundreds of different chemical reactions and dozens of nutrients are involved in the extremely complex way the body makes blood cholesterol. As a result of this complexity, the health effects of eating dietary cholesterol may be very different from the health effects of having blood cholesterol.

As blood cholesterol levels in rural China rose in certain counties, the incidence of “Western” diseases also increased. What made this so surprising was that Chinese levels were far lower than we had expected. The average level of blood cholesterol was only 127 mg/dL, which is almost 100 points less than the American average (215 mg/dL)! Some counties had average levels as low as 94 mg/dL. For two groups of about twenty-five women in the inner part of China, average blood cholesterol was at the amazingly low level of 80 mg/dL.

If you know your own cholesterol levels, you’ll appreciate how low these values really are. In the U.S., our range is around 170-290 mg/dL. Our low values are near the high values for rural China. Indeed, in the U.S., there was a myth that there might be health problems if cholesterol levels were below 150 mg/dL. If we followed that line of thinking, about 85% of the rural Chinese would appear to be in trouble. But the truth is quite different. Lower blood cholesterol levels are linked to lower rates of heart disease, cancer and other Western diseases, even at levels far below those considered “safe” in the West.

At the outset of the China Study, no one could or would have predicted that there would be a relationship between cholesterol and any of the disease rates. What a surprise we got! As blood cholesterol levels decreased from 170 mg/dL to 90 mg/dL, cancers of the liver, rectum, colon, male lung, female lung, breast, childhood leukemia, adult leukemia, childhood brain, adult brain, stomach and esophagus (throat) decreased. As you can see, this is a sizable list. Most Americans know that if you have high cholesterol, you should worry about your heart, but they don’t know that you might want to worry about cancer as well.1
Low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and high-density lipoprotein (HDL) are two types of blood cholesterol. HDL is the “good” kind while LDL is the “bad” kind. Higher levels of LDL cholesterol were associated with Western diseases in the China Study.
