A big chunk of our GDP is wasted on bureaucracy. What is left for development? It is the system not the people.

Like I said earlier a Failure would always have an excuse, no Constitution in the world is perfect that is why there is room for amendments, the Military wrote the constitution you claim which is lie, the Constitution of 1999 as Amended is the 1979 Constitution created by Rotimi Williams & his friend Obasanjo & Yaradua.

Having the civilians in power for 22 years is not an excuse to preserve a system that doesn't serve the purpose for which it was created.
Why is Nigeria still lagging behind despite all the resources available to her for the past 60 years?
The system we run is an aberration of what federalism should be.
Point to any federal system in the world where the federating units have to go to the central government to get monthly allowance! This is just an example, I name ten other areas where Nigeria is a federation by name only.
We do have sensible plans which is to return Nigeria to a proper federation as agreed before independence.
It is the same system in Australia, in Canada, in India and many other successful democracies, why is your own different. This is what I need you to explain to me.

I was disappointed when Buhari said the same thing.

Nigeria got independence under a carefully negotiated constitution which was accepted and understood by everyone. You are right, no one understands the current system because it is a bastardized version of what was negotiated before independence.
The military created the current system and it is obviously not acceptable to millions of Nigerians hence the agitation.
Good luck to all of you who wants to preserve it because it has run its course. What comes next is anyone's guess.
PS: The people who created the current system definitely does not know more than Awolowo, Ahmadu Bello, Anthony Enahoro , Azikiwe and the British who oversaw the constitutional conferences in London. Besides, that constitution was accepted by all Nigerians.

Arguably one of the most hypocritical politician. They only know restructuring once they are no longer enjoying power at the centre. A pathetic fall back position that undercuts genuine issues. PMB pushed for LG, State Assembly and Judiciary independence. None of the emergency restricting advocate joined In demanding from their governors to support the move. Till this moment none of them have demanded from their representatives to raise this issues at the National Assembly. They want PMB to magically restructure a country without following the process which vests such authority in the National Assembly.

But the APC promised restructuring when they were campaigning the first time. Why are they singing a different tune now? Why is APC controlled national assembly not doing anything about it? This is not about Buhari per se, but we know his lukewarm attitude to it.
