Section 2(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as Amended states that Nigeria is one indivisible and indissoluble sovereign state. This clearly means that Nigeria is a sovereign state that cannot be split or divided into parts neither can any part of or group of people in Nigeria seced from Nigeria.

Who wrote the constitution? Did God write it for Nigerians? If the constitution say you can crush people and the people decide to crush you instead what are you going to do?

How long did it take the president to even utter a word regarding the herdsmen issue? The herdsmen started killing people in the middle belt more than 6 years ago, sometimes changing the names of the villages after displacing the original inhabitants.

The herdsmen issue is not different from the self determination issue because if your government can no longer protect you and you have nowhere else to go to then the onus is on you to protect yourself.

Sovereignty comes from the people. Also, the Nigerian people did not write this 1999 constitution to start with. It was written by Abacha and imposed on the people.
Even as crooked as it is your right to a peaceful protest is protected.
