There was a Nigerian warrant of arrest for Nnamdi Kanu as well. Remember Taylor was not directly sent to the Hague, he was sent to Sierra Leone first and then the Hague.

The idea is to humiliate the Igbos. Whether that is successful is up to the Igbos themselves. I do not see the Biafra struggle under Nnamdi Kanu as having a coherent strategy and I tend to agree with those who see him as a fraud. Much of what he says does not help the Igbo cause. Questions remain about how he was apprehended e.g. . if it was in the UK why did it not go through a court. This suggests that he might have been abducted by non-state actors/mercenaries and raises questions about his organizational ability.

Extradition is often used for serious crimes and criminals. Hush puppy's extradition to the U.S is a case in point.

Who gave him up? There's is an extradition pact between Nigeria and the U.K, meaning if you commit a crime in either of the two countries you will not be able to escape arrest by hiding in the other.
