Jeez, what are they evaluating, was it just your bsc result alone? Or with MSC or something else

Bsc alone... Evaluation $200 , next day service $200 , next day Air courier to 2 schools $35 * 2 , international courier to Lagos $75... Money grubbing agency that IERF

Guys I booked to fly to JFk arriving at night, my connecting flight is the next day (6:30am). Can I get a cheap hotel close to JFk? Cuz I dont want to go far from the airport then miss my flight...

When at night? If the time between your landing and your connecting flight is less than 8 hrs you do not need an hotel, the airport will do in my opinion. It will take like 3 hours after landing before clearing all checks, the queues at JFK is legendary and you will need at least an hour or so for checking in on your connecting flight... By and large you have just 3hrs to yourself content yourself with an airport 'bench' that is off course assuming an 8 hour gap

Okay. I used foreign credential service of America (FCSA) and my 4.25 came out as 3.29. I guess the cheaper the evaluation company, the less tendency for your result to increase the more. I used FCSA cos it was just $140 and they don't require official transcript so I just scanned and sent to them. I regretted it tho and next time I'll use WES for PhD application.

I spent $470 on IERF and their service is still crap, I could not even get a student copy of my evaluation because it was sent through USPS I had to pay an extra $75 to have it posted to Nigeria through TNT bringing by total cost to $545, it is safe to assume I will not be using them again

Really, with which evaluation company, cos that result was totally different from mine.

With WES but IERF or ECE it might be less, i used IERF(4.38 came out as 3.48) because they have the express next day option and I'm still scratching my head till now.. Share your evaluation company and how their conversion was so people can learn

thanks Boss, but the problem now is that I have not written IELTS and GRE and I'm thinking of applying for Spring 2017. Writing IELTS next month. Thinking of starting my applications next month, do u think I should still write GRE?

GRE is a necessity, you'll be hard pressed finding any serious graduate program that does not require GRE, and like thebVO rightly said writing standardized test signals your seriousness to the Visa officer... So pls write it.

Not competitive enough bro, u might need to write the GRE at least and score 150 in d quant section. Cuz ur cgpa won't meet d 3.0/4.0

Oga keep quiet and stick with your I did , bleep also it is okay to shut up and nod along when you don't know rather than giving misleading advice. Christian129 your 3.6 is way more than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, I'll say like a 3.2 ... Write standardized exam and chose your schools carefully

Kudos to gurus in d house and congratulations to ppl who av gotten deir visas. pls whc sch can offer a full funding/scholarship with 3.7 GP(undergraduate) and 320 GRE score for msc in Education. I will appreciate responses.. ABEG MAKE UNA ANSWER ME OOOO.

For a PhD program I'll say long shot with that GPA but for MSC baba Google is your friend, your GRE is good (pls don't mind me if I don't say awesome I've seen hundreds of 330+ on gradcafe its hard to be impressed) but from what I gathered you might want to look at schools in the South. Because of their educational disadvantage they have tons of funding and subventions for education programs there

Thank you. Day by day this thread is fast becoming gathering of egotistical people. If after my interview I come back to write:

VO: why you choose the school?
Me: I did/beep
VO: why US?
Me: I did/beep

Of what benefit is "I did or beep" to those that wanted to learn from the thread? If it continues this way, one day no new senisble transcripts would be posted. I know no one can give a verbatim record of interview but why not give a meaningful account of the interview before you totally forget.

This is not the first website that contains interview transcripts. There are uncountable interview websites on the internet. Even there are bunch of greencard interview websites littering the internet. So it's a mere fallacy that makes no sense that any vo cares about the transcript you shared. If the thread has violated any embassy regulations, the owner would have closed the thread long time ago.

This got me rolling on the floor... This pretty much sums up some peoples interview transcript... I did, I did, I did, i answered, Visa approved! The same people that disturbed your life draining you to the last bit for information are suddenly transformed into tin gods...

Is it compulsory to write A SAT or TOEFL exam before you can gain admission in an American university!?

There is even a better option, write both.

I guess no one is interested in those fluffs either... All we care about is the details of your interview. What piss people off is when u start hiding details like name of your school, course, answers to some questions that might be useful to someone else.

If everyone one hid those details, the transcripts will be as good as reading a phrase in an English class that says "visa approved."

I could not have put it better, thank you Bros as always

Boss, detailed transcripts has helped alot of people here on this thread and nobody's visa has been revoked because they posted their transcripts online.

The tradition is just a way of giving back to where u took from. No matter how large your transcript may be, it can never be more than what you have gained from this thread

I actually wanted to reply the guy I saw his handle and I decided it was not worth it. Everyone gained from this house one way or the other. Without this house many would have coughed up hundreds of thousands to self serving agents and still end up denied.

I personally do not need bobbycashville 's transcript I did well without it but I have found out it is better you do not post than post stunted ones that add to the general confusion of the applicants.

I know members of this house that have never stepped foot in the consulate but have been there a thousand time in the inner recesses of their mind by reading through peoples transcript, in my experience it makes it easier than just blundering your way through.

So pls if anyone must do it at all let us do it well, let us do away with antagonistic / anti group sentiments that is the bane of Nigerian overseas community.
