Most Civil servants go to work daily as they can be queried if they are absent.
The Civil service needs reforms and abandoning duty to do business is not an option.

Any country that is not able to make its Civil service attractive will always lag behind and that is what we are experiencing.
Doctors will abandon their duty post and when a patient needs critical treatment, you won't find him and he dies.

Well as the Government is not ready,things will certainly fall apart.

The salary for the month for state civil servants that have worked for 15 years is barely 200,000 naira which is less than 200 dollars which is the amount earned by someone clearing grass in a day in UK.

Once the civil servant gets his salary at the end of the month, he goes depressed as the money can't take him home.

Due to high cost of rentage, he joins contribution of 80,000 naira for 10 people, and this money is for the Landlord at the end of the year.

He gives his wife 60,000 naira for feeding and the wife grudgingly collects it as it is impossible in this present economy to survive with that amount.

He spends on transportation, he also has dependants like his dad and mum and siblings and also hospital bills for his family and that of his parents.

The salary he was receiving 10 years ago has more value than the present salary as naira was stronger then.

The future looks very bleak for the civil servant as there is no more gratuity unlike before as it is now contributory saving as it is what you save is what you will be paid when you retire.

No wonder Directors are now quitting their duty post and travelling out of the country because they see no hope.

Some couple of years ago,a friend of mine got married to this particular lady.
They have been dating for sometime, it was an on today and off tomorrow dating.
When they were having issues while dating ,I was the person that do intercede when there were disputes.
I noticed this my friend didn't really like the girl that much but they kept on pushing on.
My friend eventually proposed to marry the girl and the first question I asked him was do you really want to get married to her?
He was like sure and I was like okay you are good to go and I will give you all the support.
I attended the marriage with all pump and pageantry as millions of naira was spent on the event.
The marriage was concluded and I left for home as the newly married couple went to an hotel for honeymoon.
The next day,I visited my friend at the hotel and saw that my friend and his new wife were having a misunderstanding about what transpired the previous day in the marriage ground.

I passed through some South African villages and their roads were tarred.

Night club is suppose to be a relaxation centre but what we have presently is a death sentence area as the nicotine that oozes out of these clubs is a death sentence and meant to shorten the life span of young men and women.
During the week, I went to a club to check on someone and because I have a high level of sensitivity towards nicotine, I felt my whole body literally burning 🔥.
I was forced to ask the security boy at the gate how are human beings coping in the club.
I think there should be a regulation whereby there should be a smoking area for people that want to smoke their lungs off different from a non smoking area instead of polluting the air for everyone.
The appropriate authority should look into this but for me I no de go there make shisha people no come kill me with smoke.
