TimFisher2: The cause of it is Indigestion of the food
Avoid late night food
If you have eaten late due to unforseen circumstances, please don't rush to bed immediately, even when you are feeling sleepy, try to be in sitting position if you must sleep, until the food quietly goes down
The Acid influx of food is very deadly, you be seeking for oxygen to breathe, as food tends to come out from the nose.

Sandralight: They should even start doing this, I mean a lot of old people are dying with no one to take care of them, many selfish people give to so many children because they need someone to take care of them in their old age because Nigeria doesn't have retirement homes.
I feel even regardless of Japa, the government should do something about the elderly in the country, in America there are so many retirement homes where the elderly live till they die even without children they still live a fulfilled live but in Nigeria, if you don't have child to take care of you in your old age your own is finished Well spoken, when we were younger those elderly people's home existed unlike nowadays. |

Due to the very harsh economy presently in Nigeria, young and even old people are running away from the country in droves and travelling abroad as they see no future in the country. Directors working for the Government and earning about 400,000 naira are not left behind in this japa stuff as they are abandoning their duty post. Full family will japa and leave their old and sick parents to care for themselves in Nigeria as only few of them abroad that have understanding wives do allow their parents to come live with them abroad. With this rate of japa, old people's home will be the next oil money in Nigeria. |

It is quite important to have water by your side especially in the night as alot of people have kpai from reflux activities in the human body system. Once this reflux occurs and you don't have water by your side and you are living alone and you want to quickly rush to the parlour to get water ,it might be too late and alot of people have collapsed before getting the water. Water is a life saver anytime any day.

Another event in my secondary school also happened and this time it involved my Agricultural science teacher. The Agric teacher was made to also teach Yoruba language too and it was from him that I knew how to speak the basics of Yoruba language including how to greet in Yoruba like Ekason, ekuirole, ekabo and also how to count numbers like ookan, eji, eta Erin, aron and so on. He was very good in teaching us Agric too . There was this week he taught us a topic about diseases that affect plants and he enumerated it quite vigorously and we all enjoyed this particular topic. When I was on my way home that is how I saw the leaf of a plant that looks to have been affected by a disease, I plucked it and the next day me and this my best friend again went to show it to my Agric teacher to explain the type of disease that is affecting this particular plant. When the Agric teacher saw the leaf, he started racking his head to know what was affecting the leaf as he even removed the glasses he was putting on to see what really was affecting it. At the end he just explained what he could whether we understand it or not. In his mind he will be like make all this small children no come fall my hand o,na theory I sabi no be practical. Lol. |

Alot of interesting events happened in my secondary school but these two stood out that make me giggle till today . My English teacher in JSS 2 was a lady and we the students really liked her as she was very good and articulate in the use of English as she passed it to us teaching us all the phonetics and what have you. When the results eventually came out for that first term, I found out that there was an error in the English language score as the cummulative result was not properly added . The English result fell short by about 15 to 20 marks, and that is how me and my best friend then went to meet my English teacher and showed her the error. She acknowledged the error and told me that she will add the score that was omitted to that of the second term. I was happy and left and when the result of second term came, she really added the score to it 😆. For the aunty's mind ,she will be like make this children no come put me for trouble o. To be continued. |

Every state government in Nigeria is involved in this fraud. Road construction is where government officials and politicans rip the people off. This is quite serious men. |

In as much as things are expensive, it shouldn't be expensive like what all our politicians are currently budgeting on road, road that doesn't stand the test of time..
Road that will get spoilt in 6month, no drainage system no manhole, where future cable cam pass through to the next street on like before when we used to have them, go to street, you discovered that network cable people have almost spoilt all road just because they want to lay their cables.. Exactly the point I am trying to make,it is just too expensive with the current rates floating around. We can't construct long stretch of roads with this amount because it is too expensive. |

Putinofrussia: These roads should have been built long ago but they were busy swallowing our money. They will award the contracts, mobilise, throw some sand, rock etc on the ground and disappear.Trillions of dollars of the masses money have been embezzled by this system of deceit. The projects being done by this govt, albeit expensive, seem to be a done deal. They are serious and it seems like they will complete it even before schedule. The most important and exciting aspect is that it is being financed 70% by private entity with just 30% from govt. It will be tolled and this will make the maintenance a sure banker thing that will make it last very much longer. There are a lot of projects this govt is seriously executing but there should be enough transparency in all of them.We are happy that they are truly being executed real time. You are not getting the point of this discuss, even if the Federal Government can cough out the money being used presently for road construction, what about the state Government and also other parastatals saddled with constructing roads. Cheaper roads signify more kilometres of road will be constructed while expensive roads means lesser kilometres of roads to be constructed. |

Must we do it the western ways?
Can we not innovate and find our own solutions?

I believe that Nigerian government can fund road constructions if they want. However, road constructions are seen as avenue for looting and so the only innovation there would be how to chop more You are on point ,it has been politicised and they prefer it like that. FarahAideed: When we warned about Tinubu devaluing the Naira , this is what we mean ,his policies have devalued the Naira so much state govts might not be able to construct more than 12kms at a go Exactly, Nigerians should not expect massive road construction as it used to be before. The currency devaluation has crippled all sectors. Presently ,just expect patching of roads here and there. |

Politics › If You Know The Cost Of A Kilometre Of Road Construction, Your Head Will Burst by guobe(op): 9:55pm On Oct 07, 2025 |
A couple of years ago, roads were constructed with about 10 million naira per kilometer.
The amount presently being used in constructing road per kilometer has so skyrocketed that it is very difficult for anyone that knows to mention it and you won't even hear it from me too even as I am an Engineer.
The inflation currently in the country has cut across so many things and it will be very difficult to construct roads with this present amount as it is just too expensive to say the list. We are in a dire situation.
