I made an application for tier 2 visa using priority service since last wk Monday which is about 7 working days now and I’m still yet to hear from them. Is this delay common, anyone had a similar experience?

No, I didn't experience this, mine was in 2013 though. From the websites (Washington DC, NY and Atlanta), this seems peculiar to only Atlanta. Are you applying for a Visa or Passport?
As I suggested, people should use Washington/NY if they have an option

I'm applying for a visa, the new payment started May 16 this yr, payment is made to an agency contracted by the Nigerian embassy for visa procurement, just like they use innovate one for the money order. Don't kn if it applies to only Atlanta though

[quote author=kenkelewu post=46464915]DIY Expedited Naija Visa II:
Money order instructions:
According to the website:
1. Note down the "Serial Number" (as shown by red circle in the sample image ) and provide that to us with other requested information after you hit the proceed button below. We’ll send you a confirmation email stating that your order number & tracking number is associated with a money order serial number. This email doesn’t mean that your application is paid yet.
Mail the filled in Money Order via a traceable courier service (such as Fedex, UPS and DHL): Address is provided on the page at this stage

2. Once we receive your money order, we’ll confirm the receipt via another email to you stating that your payment has been received and you can proceed to submit your Visa/Passport application"

Now, Mail your application: forms, you and your hubby's Naija passport data page, letter of consent, copy of flight itinerary or ticket as the case may be, money orders (for the expedited fee and additional separate $30 money order), then prepaid self-addressed express delivery envelope
Note:
I applied for my baby's on a Tues and got it back on Fri.
Avoid the embassies where these agents work, cos your application will be under the pile.
From reviews, use Washington DC and NY
Times are hard, let's not waste money on what we can do ourselves.
Note that weekends and holidays will increase processing times, even if you expedite the processing

I applied for my son last week, used Atlanta and when I called to find out the status of my application I was told about an additional 96.30 to be paid to OIS services, making it a total of 371.3 (180,65,30,96.30) which is even more than the agent collects. I was so disappointed, did you also experience this?

sequel to the quoted post...Is it possible for a mama to process a texas Id card

She can use her Nigerian drivers license in addition to the passport. What county is that? The main office at 8000 N stadium Dr accepted only my int'l passport and they give the full form unlike the short forms given at the county court house. It's still same fee of 23 usd.

Hello house .thank God my princess arrived yesterday tru a C-SECTION sadly she is not too strong weight 2kg,low sugar level on &off and she is eating only tru pipe from her nostrile cos she can't suck bottle for now my breast milk is not even flowing and she has jaundice so she is in NICU.pls house abeg how much is der cost who has experienced dis b4 asper how much dey will charge at d end of the all intensive care.urgent reply pls.cos our budget was VD now it turned to CS b4 baby issue resulted to NICU and dey won't discharge baby until she is fully recovered. I thank God she is active not weak.

Congratulations on the arrival of your princess, NICU bills vary depending on the hosp even for self paying patients, my second child was admitted at NICU in 2012 at coney island brooklyn and the bill was 3500 per day, thankfully she spent only 4 days. Her bill alone plus drugs amounted to 18k. Please don't get yourself bothered, their bills can easily be negotiated esp if you are ready to pay a large sum as cash. I got a 60% discount at the end. Worrying will only tilt you to depression and it changes nothing. I had my 3rd baby 6 days ago at whmc, I think I saw somewhere that the bill is 1000 per day for nicu, but u can always confirm. You can also send someone downstairs to the billing dept to verify or even call them from your room. My advise is for you to get ready to negotiate when u get the final bill, ask to speak with the head of billing, also if baby stays long get ready to be discharged alone so u don't accumulate more bills [cos it's 500 per day for mother after the 3days]. Above all put it in prayers, you will be fine.

Pls mothers who used whmc, I'm a little confused about how to get a paediatrcian for the baby soon after birth. Did you use the Hosp paedo and then after discharge continued with another paediatrcian? How did u go about it, guess I need one to assess baby right after birth. Your advice will be well appreciated

Abeg no vex.
I just say mak i verify.
I calld Hope clinic for pediatrician and thy wr sayn lots of strange things. Wanting to knw income grade and address and how am funding my visit before givn me price. I sharply told dem am not interested in medicaid and thy seemed bent on offering me some sort of package.

D koko was if im not interested in anything, i will pay $85 per visit minus cost of any tests to be run. Even though far frm the $30 u mentioned,ts still a good price.

Abeg no vex o, but r u sure the clinic is a gud choice. Dnt wna hear stories like MadameU @ renewal.

Did u confirm the hope clinic you called is the one at bellaire Blvd, cos I kn there's another one at Richmond and $ 85 is their price for clinic visit

Who is your doctor? The money paid to your doctor shd include ANC visit, y do u have to pay whmc for each visit. My doctor's package includes all 3rd trimester tests and sonogram, prepartum, delivery and postpartum visit. Just relax and feed well, your baby will gain more weight. For the stroller try Burlington, walmart. Look it up at amazon and see the price range

Newark POE is ok but just like every poe you have to be well prepared. Used it 4 years ago, had paid hosp bill of 4200 usd and had 14k usd in cards and bank statement of abt 3M plus doctors correspondence yet I was sent for secondary inspection and one albino cbp kept insisting I may ask for a refund if they let me and use medicaid. I was kept for hours at secondary inspection till they were able to reach the hosp and confirm the payment I made. A friend of mine had her baby abt 8 yrs ago but used medicaid, her exit was thru newark, they requested receipts which she didn't have and they immediately banned her......bottom line is be prepared. Came in thru dallas last wk, was just asked how much I had (8k) cash and 27 k in card, showed them receipt of hosp part payment of 1500 at whmc and drs correspondence and that was all, no secondary inspection. ...
