To be sincere i would always be loyal to EBON BABA @Thesoj* his past and present post always carry weight with rational perception. he was an inspiration. Even @mikymiko my guy never believed in me initially till he saw his GCMS note which before the gcms note i had analytically dissected the reason for his refusal after carefully going through his profile and documents submitted. during my time, many never knew i would be refused TRV but when it happened I only knew it was just the PGC program i opted for, which i am now working towards masters admission and whatever happens to a guy/man to make him CRY means the world to him which when i see people ignorantly making the mistake I urgently comment to mitigate such because TRV refusal is totally devastating to human health and mental balance after huge efforts and long wait.

@floaroyal regards...still those ladies bashing will still be the ones to be loyal in canada to mingle with guys to know wetin dey ground if not na back to Nigeria after studies..na still guys dey carry the legit informate..

No1 is an immigration expert but i can confer that honour on myself as an immigration expert though without license to practicegrin grin in short i will be changing my moniker come next year to ''canadian immigration expert'' grin even at last the unpredictable VOs have the final say and apply his/her discretion.

lets assume someone got admission for a 1 year pgd programme after the first semester can one defer for like 3 months and resume for the 2nd semester later
No, once you have started your studies, you are not allowed to defer your admission. However, depending on the school, you may defer your admission for maybe another 1 year before you proceed with your studies.

bro ur sponsors are all 3rd parties.this requires careful thoughts and packaging to be able to make it convincing to the VO.i would advise you specify that other stand-in sponsor as uncle without much stories.i have seen it work for others but it requires a smart presentation of the sponsorships as a whole.
thanks for your response. Can you please the bolded in clearer terms

So house, I really need your advise and suggestions as to how to go about this.

I have a sponsor who is not family not even same tribe but he is willing to stand in as my sponsor. My challenge now is how to convince the VO that he truly would sponsor me. Please help with tips that will increase my chances of approval. Its PGC and am going the paper route.

Also, I will be using a co-sponsor who is my brother in-law. What would I need to request from him?

Dude was only asking u to make ur chats about SOA private na I'm you come type long epistle like this?

I understand you're trying to help however, I for one agree with him that we should be very careful about what we post on a public forum like this. It doesn't help the rest of we applicants sincerely as it affects our chances one way or the other.

To the best of my knowledge Boos**ng of SOA isn't 'legal' as regards visa app and putting such up here seems somehow so try and understand please. No vex

Check charging system comprising of your power source and alternator, also check your drive belt as well. As for your Rpm going so low did ypu recently have your compressor changed or kazeem worked something else for the car?
no Kazeem did not work on it. The major thing I have noticed is that above 1rpm its good. Below that, the light comes on.

So I've been following this thread like forever, and I said I wasn't going to post any comment till I have good news. Someone introduced me to this page a little while after submitting my application (that was like part 10 or 9 sef, not so sure anymore.) just to read through and see how much patience I'll require. TBH, reading a lot of comments, I already have up sometimes that my application wasn't as solid as some people that have been denied. But I kept the faith. Let me cut the long story short sha. I got admission to Conestoga College (PGC, Computer Applications Security)

Visa application details;
Applied 19th May (Online route),
Biometrics 21st May.

Admission letter, with full first semester tuition paid.
Letter of Explanation
Sponsorship letter from my dad, with his official letter headed paper (Serving Commissioner in one of the states of Nigeria).
Statement of account( inflow: 12,153,796, outflow: 11,377,364, closing balance: 790,876).
Letter of introduction from his bank.
Police Certificate.
Data Page of international passport (No travel history). And all those IMM forms.

Medical call: 27th August.
Medical passed: 31st August.

Had to defer my admission, since I didn't hear anything from them again. Sent the new admission letter.

Finally, Passport Request: 31st October
Approval update/Correspondence letter: 5th November.

Will pick up my passport on Tuesday or Wednesday, and resign from my current job at the end of this month.

Total Duration: 24 weeks, 2 days.

All praise to God. I've not been calm since morning. Turn down for what? I wish all TRV hopefuls all the best.
congratulations! U mentioned something about sending ur new admission letter, so u mean you sent it to CIC? Please clarify on how you went about that.

Car Talk / Ac/battery Issue With My Car by guzan: 3:47pm On Nov 05, 2016
Hello house, I drive a 2000 Camry and recently noticed that when I am in serious stand still traffic with AC on ,my battery lights come on,but if I put off the ac the battery light will go off. Also, I realise that my rpm is way below 1,before it was just a little below 1. Then secondly I get a sound that makes it look like the engine is working very hard. In the morning, the battery is dead and can't Start the engine.

Also,if the road is free, the light does not come in at all and battery remains sound.

Please what could be the cause and possible solution .

@guzan, i did upfront medicals and my TRV was approved.
awesome. Am sure this will further help folks on this thread to take their pick. Cos I for one had a reservation with it especially because I did not know anyone who did upfront and got approved, whilst I know at least 4 who did not do it upfront and got approved.

Lemme chip in an elderly experience,People here just get nervous even with mere notification that ur application "has been forwarded to Canada for processing"..why draining yourself emotionally on just one country? instead of using the waiting period to explore other options atleast having an admission at hand while waiting on Canada.Canadian VOs are unpredictable.you may satisfy the whole requirements and still get refused, while some other with mediocre application will be granted.

Meanwhile, upfront medical oo,late medical call oo,early medical call oo,medical status changed to passed is no longer guarantee that you would be approved visa..

Until you get passport request if online application and status approved if linked online to CIC for paper routers before you may start atleast jubilating till you pick up you package from VFS,you can now paint the city white and red.

Lastly we should be careful about writing LOE/SOPs especially to PGC(D)/diploma applicants here.some refusals i have seen, show that the VOs try capitalizing on that to question ones purpose of visit in some cases which also in my perception according to some applicants profile is a reason to merely discard an application if they don't want to issue.

Pray for luck.
are u saying there is no need for sops?cos its even a part of the requirement by cic

Mikymiko:
1. Online or Paper route: Apply via whichever route you feel comfortable as long as you have gathered complete documents.

2. Family members (Parents, Spouse. Brother, Uncle, Cousin, Aunt) are mainly reliable sponsors which can easily be proved via birth certificates and marriage certificates.
Since you say he is your guardian, I guess you should try getting a Sponsorship affidavit sworn before a Notary Public. But make sure you share something in common (in past and present) like proof of prior sponsorship and proof that you are living with him in same residential address (since he is not your relative). Also your sponsor must state why he choose to sponsor you and the financial commitment he has made towards your studies in Canada. All this points must be detailed in your sponsor's sworn affidavit. Best wishes.

Thank you so much for your response. As per previous sponsor ships, he's credited my account severally but he does so from his father's account which means his name will not be appearing on my statement of account. I know this is hard to prove but I will try. Can I add his picture at my wedding ?can that prove anything?

Gd afternoon house, I've been denied based on inadequate financial status. I've seen some errors from my agent on my app documents , one of which is that he stated that i started working since May 2015 instead of May 2016 after my service year. I don't know if i can change this date when next i reapply. Thanks.
was it self sponsor? i don't know much about the date, but i believe the gurus in the house can help you with this.

Since you can't renew your passport yet cos expiration date is still sept next year

Trv would be given till the expiration of your passport , when your passport expires in Canada you fly to our embassy in Ottawa and renew your passport then apply for extension of trv to CIC

oh OK. Thank you
