So the chinco products you buy last longer than one week abi? Abeg park well. To put a blanket phrase and simply say we do not produce anything is ignorant and dishonest. Agreed, our trade deficits to most of these countries is large but enough of all these misyarns.
If we really depended only on crude oil, Nigeria would have VAPORIZED a long time ago. Sure, the bulk of our income comes from crude but Agriculture, Telecoms, Textiles, and other industries still exist. Yes they are struggling but you people should stop making ignorant comments. All the local soaps that they sell in the markets are made from where? Same way you guys will start saying ignorant things like we don't make toothpicks and matches when we INFACT have people making these.... Again, i am not saying Nigerian manufacturing is booming but lets stop the ignorant statements we've been making since the 80's
U are far away from the hidden truth of this country, and again u are not a literature student, so u knows nothing concerning exaggeration.
When people complain of Nigeria producing nothing we don't mean at all at all, u know the locally made goods can not serve the country because of its population say more of exporting them. With our fertile land, how many commercial farmers do we have? If we can produce at least enof food we won't be bordering of foreign rice of a thing. U comment on our textile, now if I may ask, how many of them are still functioning? Arewa textile died and was buried, Gusau textile kick its ass, Kano, to mention but few.

Why don't you let Buhari defend himself? Why are you defending him? The major reason we are in "panic" mode with regards the dollar is due to "INDECISIVENESS" from the President. Even people that don't need dollars are looking for ways to get dollars just because they "hope/expect" it to go up. Sure, this was a problem inherited from the past govt. The important thing to note is that THIS government "escalated" due to in-actions and not knowing what to do. You realize that investors pulled TRILLIONS out of the nigerian economy when they weren't sure of Buharis plans. When he was busy taking 6 months to inaugurate his cabinet, people were pulling out of nigeria. Companies were pulling out. A lot of these investors and companies used to generate forex and their flight added to the already big problem of dollar scarcity. There is no need pushing blame around. Buhari has done this for almost 2 years now. He is in charge of Nigeria and by that he is responsible for ALL OUR PROBLEMS.
u have said it all.
My little surprise is, with this ur understanding why do u support devaluation when u fully know that this guy (presidoo) is gonna throw us in a sea?

It depresses me when i see people continue preaching this lie. People, do your research and stop repeating what others have said. This "myth" that we produce nothing is getting old. Sure, we may not produce enough and should be doing more, but this "we producing nothing" has got to be the most ridiculous statement ever.
I thought you are going to quote with reference our rate of exportation. Whether u like it or not, get use to "we produce nothing" because it's the fact. You can devalue your currency to burst your economy when u are producing and exporting much. Your lower currency will attract other countries to buy from u, and as long as people are rushing to buy, u make more from that. But u decide to devalue ur currency when ur country can not burst of feeding themselves. Look at what is happening now, just because embargo is placed on foreign rice importation, the whole country is living in total mess, our local rice is almost the same price with the unseen foreign rice. Days back I decided to follow senator common sense to be buying solely made in Nigeria. Anytime I buy Aba made hmmm, one week is the lifespan of the product. Where are we heading to? No quality control? How are we going to export these goods even though we produce? And how much do u think u can make when ur goods circulate only in ur country? Even China can not make it without international market.

Buhari can't stop the slide of the naira for even 2 weeks yet he will be talking of how he doesn't want to devalue the naira
Do u really think the idea of devaluation is good in Nigeria? Pls read abt it very well. We as a country produces nothing yet we want our currency devalue. Which outcome are u expecting?

EducationRe: 5 Most Underrated Courses In Nigerian Tertiary Institutions by Gwazah(m): 11:43am On Dec 28, 2016
We are not saying studying history is bad but the chances of one getting job is limited.
I don't need a historian to tell me abt Aliko Dangote, his history is boldly written on website, pamphlet, journals, and so on, the chances of getting work is just too small.
Agriculture is a good course to me
Educational course are manageable too, just the way teachers are being treated by state governors is discouraging.

Anuoluwapo3054:
@OP, am a proud graduate of history and International Studies and I can tell that the problems Nigeria is facing today is because we don't have know our history. Our view or rather conceptions about this course is distorted and that is why we are in a sorry state today because we don't learn from the past. Everything we are today has it origin in history (the early man), the technologies we are enjoying today stemmed from history.... Virtually every professional courses today has it's origin in history. Take a look at our past leaders... Like Odumegwu Ojukwu,he was an Historian and many others.... It is only in Nigeria we don't take this course serious, and that's why bad and corrupt leaders will continue to rule us... Now let's go to the international scene... You can not see a citizen of America who doesn't know the history of their land because it is inculcated on them from elementary stage. Until we go back to our history as a nation, we won't get things done because history is the study of the past and the past is being applied to correct the future... So please remove history from that list.
Brother, do u mean all Nigerians must be historians before we can move this country forward? For the fact that one is not a historian does not mean he/she did not know the history of his country. Almost all Nigerians who were born before 80s know the history of Gen Moh'd Buhari's regime yet they voted him in. Religion is our prb in choosing leaders not knowing the past history.

When we talk of education, we don't just mean completing the necessary years and obtaining the certificate, but the ideologies u hav that enables u to analyze some situations and drawing a logical conclusions. Who in this country is yet to know that liberal democracy is not working? Yes we hav our fundamental human rights, but there are exceptions, we the masses hav failed in exercising these rights in Nigeria, Boko Haram started just like this Mohammed Yusuf de leader was arrested and prosecuted in federal high court Jos, every body reminded the federal govt of his right to religion and today look at where we are! Such religious processions are rights, but the police must be notify. Are we still in the eral of showing extremism? Let follow the reality and leave paper work aside.

Teespice:
number 7 get as e be. I can't find anywhere in our written laws where number 7 is prohibited.

the last time I checked, under the cultural compatibility of the criminal code, witchcraft wasn't recognised under the criminal code and people who committed crimes under the guise of witchcraft and black magic were convicted and sentenced accordingly. I really wish I could cite cases to back up my point but I have forgotten the names but can still remember the principles and parts of the judgment. unless the status quo ante has been changed.

I agree with the rest.

odd enough, these laws are not found in the constitution. they are found in the marriage act, criminal code and the evidence act.
the real charges is "Offences Related to witchcraft and practicing Juju" contrary to section 216 of the penal code laws of northern Nigeria. But I don't know that of criminal code.

Now i see why Nigerians are crazy. They have laws backing their insanity. How do you prove witchcraft?
99% of witchcraft cases charged to court failed due to method of proving them.
1) the accused must voluntarily confessed to be a witch
2) he/she must make the trial judge to believed that he/she is a witch,
3) the suspect may either by words of proclamation make any thing to happen (eg) Ada is accused of bewitching Jerry, when the case is charged to court, before the trial judge Ada ordered Jerry to be free of the illness and it happened. Ada is guilty of witchcraft. But which of the accused can do that knowing fully well he/she can be jail for such prove?.

Most of these laws are not in the constitution.
u can find these laws in criminal code, laws of northern Nigeria. And penal code laws of southern Nigeria, misdemeanor act, matrimonial act. Not the constitution, constitution is the mother of all laws and it is from there that other administrative laws are emanated, meaning there are laws that are not there but are in other codes, but these laws must not contravene any section of the constitution because of its supremacy.

Another point is, if not that the white men hav investigate and know, how would Nigeria know there is zika virus, we don't have science in the country, our Dr's.
