One moment, Nigeria is giving ultimatums to the US and the very next, we're a$$-licking 'em.
Nigeria, a country with a leadership of misplaced priorities.
Don't tell me you expected your government officials to stand firmly by their ultimatum.
What strength do they have to imbue fear in the U.S.huh? pssh lol grin

And given the tight structure of aircrafts, suffice to say it's impossible to oversee every nook and cranny to fish out suspects who simply have to press down on a syringe to initiate their "incendiary" equipments.  grin  grin.

Let's be candid in tackling the problem from its root,
While the U.S. is focused on exposing and publicizing its own security loopholes, terrorists are busy at work devising means to exploit those weaknesses and others they haven't caught on to.

It gives U.S. citizens a feeling of safety while the actual problem remains at large

Jakumo:
There were in fact NO sky marshalls present to confront the 911 hijackers, and that is the primary reason the terror unfolded unabated.

I support armed marshalls on ALL flights to and from ALL destinations, and I have no worries about all those guns, since I have no intention of so much as complaining about the food,  talk less of raising my voice aboard an aircraft, or starting some chit.

Responding to the last post, I would rather take my chances of winding up as collateral damage during a bombing or hijack attempt, than I would face the CERTAINTY of a fiery death if there is no lawman with a gun present to restore order.
then perhaps you can bring me to understand how a sky marshal would have prevented Farouk Abdul Mutallab's successful boarding and  failed explosive-detonation.   the air marshals may smear feelings of safety in passengers, but would they achieve their intended goal?
it's a good scare tactic though.

Jakumo:
This is a very good idea. Anyone who gets violent on board an aircraft or tries to light an incendiary or explosive device will need to be neutralized quickly and precisely with a well-aimed volley of shots. The marshalls must of course load up with those ceramic rounds that will kill a human, but shatter against the fuselage, rather than puncture the aircraft skin.

Go ahead hijackers, make their day, and watch what happens in the blink of an eye. Were I ever to board a Nigerian aircraft, I would feel way safer knowing that Clint Eastwood is aboard and ready to light folks up.
What if an innocent flier is accidentally "offed" by a stray bullet shocked

It's calming to see there are still women outside of the shores of Nigeria who stay genuinely true to their culture and the customs they have established for marriage.

To the ones testing and swarming the waters of the west, you must contribute a sizable to chunk to the union.

Nope, mid-thirties, going on 34.
Nope, we're not afraid of anything. It's the Celtics, duh.  tongue

Anyway, make that injury serious well well, let's see how far y'all get. rofl
Of course it's the Celtics! The same team that the Hawks have made a habit of thrashing.
The playoffs are a different ballgame, but you should be worried if they turn out to be your second-round draw.  They match up solidly against your team and you have little to no mental advantage over them.

@kobe will be fine, don't trip.  The spurs are sorry.  I can't wait until the Mavs whoop their whack arses in the playoffs.
They beat us yesterday without our top 2 perennial all-stars running at full force.  We managed to make the game interesting in the 4th too  tongue

LMFAO, thank you for being direct.  That is the blatant truth that Celtics fans are afraid to hear.

As for Kobe, the dude is a road warrior.  Even in his sleep he's probably ripping through NBA teams with his avatar.

He was also injurd last night.  Suffered back spasms during the game against the Spurs but laced it up tonight and nailed the game winning jumper against A-40's Mavs.   Pedro Martinez once called the Yankees his daddy . . . the Mavs might wanna inshrine Kobe as their god.

Are we speaking strictly in Nigerian terms here?

As we continue to migrate towards egalitarian unions, women MUST be ready to contribute and shoulder as much load as the man.  It is also her marriage.  Call me stingy  cheesy
^^ for some weird reason, US styles rarely work exactly as planned outside of the US.

Besides the entertainment industry that is. Hollywood, etc.
The U.S. knows best how to exercise dictatorship over those they consider enemies.
Nigeria is currently portrayed as an enemy state.

When the central intelligence agency and their other counter-terrorism agences were chagrined by mutallab's successful terrorism, their panel of experts went on radio and TV to nigrify us to the blackest extent.  They made remarks like, "he bought a one-way ticket, no checked-in baggages, he's nigerian . . . "
No Nigerian had previously attempted to blow up a plane (to my knowledge), and his Nigerian heritage was not indicative of terrorism so what does "he's Nigerian" have to do with it.

That's when I knew they were grasping desperately at straws and fabricating stereotypes that did not exist.

are the parties involved doing the same for Yemeni, Ethiopian and Ghanaian flights? huh
That's what I have difficulty with coming to terms with. I realize it's for a good cause, but I feel like we are being manhandled.

I do think that Nigerians can serve as the marshals, although they MUST be U.S. trained.

TV01:
Quite frankly I disagree. Lots of people abstain for lifestyle or purely religious regions without that much difficulty. How much more those who believe God and avail themselves of the grace available in Christ Jesus, seeing the divine in that state.

I admit the ability to control different carnal desires may vary from individual to individual, but grace is available. Its not so much - IMHO - giving up the desire as it is the "desire to give it up"

I don't want this to be personalised like Sis' Mavens position was, however my personal walk is something I cannot deny. I am not a virgin - I always feel a tinge of regret when saying that - but I have been voluntarily celibate for over a decade. I am a single Christian male. That is just par for the course. I don't feel or assume particular favour, blessing or even "anointing" grin!

The peace of mind, the strength of purpose and the the clarity of thought it affords me are priceless.

God bless

That's strong.
Politics › Nigeria To Allow Armed U.s. Air Marshals On Flights by H2O2(op): 12:57am On Jan 14, 2010
(01-13) 08:00 PST ABUJA, Nigeria (AP) --

Nigeria says it will allow armed U.S. air marshals on flights between the West African nation and the U.S. after the failed Christmas Day airliner bombing.

Aviation Minister Babtunde Omotoba says the government will sign an agreement with the U.S. to allow the federal agents on airplane. Omotoba said Wednesday that Nigeria will ask the U.S. to train Nigerian security agents to serve a similar role on other air carriers.

The U.S. has placed Nigeria on a list of 14 countries where passengers must undergo stricter security screening before boarding any U.S.-bound flight. The Nigerian man accused of trying to blow up the Detroit-bound plane on Christmas Day began his journey at Nigeria's largest airport.

Compared to mutallab when they kept singing Nigerian national round the clock and on every network.

The pace for reporting this earthquake didnt pick up until much later.
It had to be lukewarm.  They could not go into a frenzy with their reporting because they had insufficient details on the devastation that had occured and the magnitude of the impact made by the earthquake.

Once pictures came in bunches and eye-witnesses provided with them with more information you saw the news pick up.

people like you and pat robertson (who claimed God punished new orleans for immorality) are idiots.

this is a natural disaster that has nothing to do with voodoo. it's funny how eastern religions are considered "wicked' traditions.
Yeah.  Her response was very idiotic and showed a lack of good reasoning.
Leave it to beavers to speak on what they have trouble understanding.

Natural disasters are inevitable and have nothing at all to do with voodoo.
