I've checked it out..how is a beginner supposed to follow her..I only understood half of her introduction.. Im not sure abt dis one. I'm using Duolingo app, some learning documents on Dropbox dat someone shared on the student visa thread some time ago..I'm also using YouTube videos from "learn german with jenny", "easy german", "learn german with anya" and "get germanized". I'm also using clozemaster app..
I'm combining a lot of things..we must learn this German oh

I'm going to briefly discuss about my favorite application to give an idea of my thoughts on Duolingo.

Language learning application : BUSUU

This is currently my favorite language learning application. It is better than Duolingo when it comes to listening skills, when it comes to writing, and when it comes to reading. It also provides more opportunities for engagement with others. The vocabularly is presented in a way that context learning is much easier.

So, in this way, i will say Busuu and Duolingo can sometimes be a nice compliment.

Know the basics first before using DUOLINGO.. As a beginner, i won't advice you to start using DUOLINGO because the audio on Duolingo is horrible and computer generated. Duolingo uses one voice, and it is almost impossible to understand as it is computer generated. In learning languages, you really need multiple voices or you're not going to develop language listening skills of any use.

The apps do simplification of complex things like verb conjugation in ways that feel wrong. It treats he/she/you (pl)/you (sing)/I/they as the same in cases like the one with chose the right word. It forces you to chose three options and you have to remember what verb tense you're in.

In essence, of the 4 major components of learning a language, Duolingo teaches you only one and a half. It provides no context to your life and does not provide you with a real usable vocabularly. It is not great

That said, I think Duolingo can be great when used in conjunction with other applications, immersion, language learning classes and other language learning approaches

Na MSC get more opportunities because many courses are in English here so you stand a chance..Undergraduate courses are mostly in Finnish...Many schools offer some form of scholarships here and frankly, you gatz put in the work to search these out, I sha know from two years ago that the University of Eastern Finland offers a full scholarship on Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry courses... Marry that StudyFinland site for updates, it is what will help you
