Richdee1: This one is worried about cold weather Hadampson should we tell him?? If you think Canada is too cold, please stay back in Nigeria. Bruuuuuuh!! Chai see as someone wan miss a golden opportunity because of an ordinary weather. Well, Yoruba people don talk am, dem talk say ẹ́ni tó lórí kò ní fìlà, ẹni tó ní fìlà kò lórí, ẹni tó lórí tó ní fìlà, kò rí òde dée lọ which means the person with a head has no cap, the one with a cap has no head, and the person with both head and cap had no where to go with them. That is, different strokes for different folks. If I'm given such opportunity, I wouldn't waste it because of an ordinary weather oh OP, we know Canada is extremely cold but there are some provinces that aren't that cold during winter season. A good example is British Columbia province. You can stay there when you arrive in Canada. I wish you good luck |

Temhellen: My Partner is planning on traveling abroad soon but we will do a court wedding before he leave. Pls , what are the requirements for me when I want to join him?
Well, I don't know the country that he is migrating to.
If it's Canada, you can join him through spousal sponsorship and if it's Germany, family reunion is your best bet.
The requirements isn't different from other visa categories. Just get some documents that can prove your marriage with him is real. This is for Canada
As for Germany, just check the documents on their checklist, apply through German embassy website, present the documents required, book visa appointment, go for interview and if approved, move to Germany |

Because of the high temperatures in the Zambezi basin, the Doma don’t roof their house.
They only thatch them when the rain comes
Not much is written about them unfortunately.
Only a few people have encountered pure-bred members of the vaDoma

Most children don’t go to school because they don’t have decent clothes, can’t afford fees/levies and have to cross the Mwazamutanda River which gets flooded.
So they just don’t go to school

WHAT IS THE GOVERNMENT DOING?
Nothing
The majority of the people are very poor.
So the government lured them from the mountains, made them settle on lower ground, sold them promises and forgot about them

So that’s how it went for a while; officials leaving handouts and the vaDoma taking them. Until some trust was established and the vaDoma resettled to lower grounds
The idea (by the government) was to integrate them into society and help them to gain access to schools etc

PRESENT DAY
After independence, the vaDoma had to be included in the government development plans.
But the vaDoma didn’t trust outsiders. So the government left food and clothes handouts at the bottom of the mountains. The vaDoma would take these without being seen.
