Fayemi is still one of the best minds in any 36states governor. But he effed up. And Ekiti people were feeling it already.


To the extent that they had no choice than to vote him out in favour of someone that was impeached 15years ago?


Fayemi wasn't approachable.


It was during campaign that I saw him come down from his convoy and try and catch fun with boli sellers, Amala sellers like Fayose does.


One of the old women selling the boli told him point blank that day at Adebayo that he should stop wasting his time cos it was too late already, the dew has touched the grassblade.... paraphrasing her words. She knew him when he was a kid and his parents etc. so shame catch am that day. she was blunt with the truth in a calm way. He entered his car back with a sullen face. That's when the battle that favoured Fayose was won.... Approachable!!!


Other factors that were given as reasons in the media were all just additive propaganda. Ekiti people just want someone they can talk to and listen to. And it was Adebayo and Fayose that made that the yardstick for consequent Ekiti Governors... till God knows when.

If any future governor effs up, they might just recall Fayemi again. that's just how the cycle is.

Fayemi is not a regular politician that goes about looking for praise singers.. the only time I saw him too was when he came to inspect the road that links similoluwa to health centre one Saturday like that.

He might not look approachable though, as long as he does his job, why would I want to approach him.. he really opened Ekiti.. Ekiti people likes someone that is smiling with them daily and still stabbing them behind..

They deserve whatever they get though.. I like that man Fayemi..

Ayo Fayose is a politician to be respected. It is not every politician that can defeat incumbent governors twice.

One other politician to be respected is Babafemi Ojudu, who seems to have the political antidote to Fayose. If you want to succeed as a politician learn from these two guys.

But at the end of the day, it's your service to the people, not your political sagacity that counts. Kayode Fayemi did a lot of infrastructural work in Ekiti. Niyi Adebayo was very approachable. Anyone who needed something could come to Government House and see him (I think the Adebayo family has that common touch).

The end point of politics is to touch lives positively. Will people have good things to say about your time after you've left that seat?

You know Ekiti too well man. I told my friend during the ousting of Fayemi, I told him "you guys in Ekiti will regret removing Fayemi as your governor".

You know these people and their stubbornness.. Ekiti I miss that town sha.
