Billyonaire: Atheists are like professors who know all about electricity but are yet to see the light bulbs, they are not too different from the theists who believe in the light bulb but know nothing about electricity. By the way OP, what happens at Emmanuel TV are more of personal faith than the Christian Gods, cos miracles happens in every religion and also happens in the absence of religion. Faith knows no religion. It is just a natural cosmic energy.

Religion / Re: Is It Wrong To Give Your Tithe To The Poor by hagma37yahoocom: 8:35pm On Oct 17, 2012
Joagbaje: You ought to pay the tithe in the place where you worship. That doesn't take the place of giving to the poor . We must all remember the poor. If you dedicate a tenth or 20% of your income to the poor its good and acceptable but it does not take the place of your offerings to God and the place of tithes to God.There are several givings in Gods kingdom , one giving should not take the place of another .

Jesus even said that anyone who denies the parents their honorarium claiming since he had given to God he doesn't need to give to his parents again that such a one is not free.

Mark 7:11
But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.
Bros if church need cleanup guys go do am if church need furnitures men go do am if church need repair contributors dey dependind on the caretakers plz its high time we thing on better ways to giv tithe plz note a thousand five can save a soul in hospital 2 thousand can take many out of jail and many more.

plappville: Old widows are still persuaded to tithe in the church, When widows are surposed to be cared for.

1 Timothy 5:3-16 (NIV)
3 Give proper recognition to those widows who are really in need. 4 But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God. 5 The widow who is really in need and left all alone puts her hope in God and continues night and day to pray and to ask God for help. 6 But the widow who lives for pleasure is dead even while she lives. 7 Give the people these instructions, so that no one may be open to blame. 8 Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

9 No widow may be put on the list of widows unless she is over sixty, has been faithful to her husband, 10 and is well known for her good deeds, such as bringing up children, showing hospitality, washing the feet of the Lord’s people, helping those in trouble and devoting herself to all kinds of good deeds.

11 As for younger widows, do not put them on such a list. For when their sensual desires overcome their dedication to Christ, they want to marry. 12 Thus they bring judgment on themselves, because they have broken their first pledge. 13 Besides, they get into the habit of being idle and going about from house to house. And not only do they become idlers, but also busybodies who talk nonsense, saying things they ought not to. 14 So I counsel younger widows to marry, to have children, to manage their homes and to give the enemy no opportunity for slander. 15 Some have in fact already turned away to follow Satan.

16 If any woman who is a believer has widows in her care, she should continue to help them and not let the church be burdened with them, so that the church can help those widows who are really in need.

If you heart directs you to give your tithe to the poor, you are doing it for God.
So a widow at 25 should not marry again cos me no understand one of your illusration please tell me more.

Johnchike:
It is silly and dud for you to say music and/or instruments shouldn't be used for worship.
In Psalm 150:3-5 the bible tells us to praise God with trumpets, to praise God with harps and lyres. To praise God with drums and dancing to praise God with harps and flutes, to praise God with loud cymbals.

In Joshua 6:4-7 God ordered Joshua to blow trumpets. The sound of the trumpets would miraculously pull down the walls of Jericho

In 2samuel 6:5 David and all the israelites were dancing and singing with all their might to honour the Lord, they were playing harps, lyres, drums, rattles, and cymbals

In 2samuel 6:15 David and all the israelites took the Covenant box up to Jerusalem with the shouts of joy and the sounds of trumpets.

In Luke 20: 39-40 Some pharisees in the crowd spoke to Jesus. "Teacher," they said, "command your disciples to be quiet!" Jesus answered, "I tell you that if they keep quiet, the stones themselves will start shouting."
Guy u dont worship with guitar but praise mayb u can please get difference all u coated were praise and not worship

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Dangote Graduate Drivers Trainee Interview by hagma37yahoocom: 8:32am On Sep 29, 2012
pro01: Those of you pontificating about how Dangote's offer is so demeaning to Nigerian graduates are probably detached from reality. The truth of the matter is that it is an excellent offer that seeks to kill two birds with one stone: on one hand it would at least ameliorate the terrible unemployment situation by engaging thousands of unemployed/underemployed graduates, and on the other hand, it might enhance operational standards for Dangote's fleet.

I assume the remuneration for the so-called graduate drivers would be more attractive than what many unfortunate 'coat and tie' wearing graduates earn as contract/marketing staff in one micro finance bank or insurance company or 'one-man business' or the other. Most of such graduates now earn anywhere between N30k and N50k. These ones are even lucky; a greater number of graduates wallow in total, penniless misery as they cannot even find ANY job, not even one that offers N20k/month!

Based on this ugly reality, if Dangote offers you N70k a month (along with other benefits) to work as an 'executive' truck driver, would you consider that a terrible deal? Or perhaps you'd prefer to work as a 'marketer' in a useless insurance company for N35k a month, or worse still, remain unemployed for years without N1k to your name?

Besides, Dangote is not forcefully conscripting anybody into his company to work as a driver. His offer is just that - an offer, and unemployed/underemployed graduates have the power to decide to remain in the labour market and wait for the elusive Chevron job, or accept Dangote's offer. It's really very simple. No be by force nah! We're in a democracy after all, and everyone has the right to make any offer, just as everyone else also has the right to accept or reject any offer.

The bitter truth is that things are really harsh out there; we have an unemployment crisis of unprecedented proportions on our hands, and it is rapidly getting worse - with thousands of graduates creeping out of the universities like bedbugs yearly to join their older counterparts in the over-saturated labour market. The prospects are dim, and the future, grim. Those of us that are a bit fortunate should never lose sight of the true situation out there.

On a side note, I hope our unemployed sisters, ex-campus babes in the house, would also be eager to accept this offer too oh just like they typically are with the office jobs. This is one job opportunity where I would be happy to see gender equality implemented fully, lol.
My friend let Dangote advertise this job as an open recruitment to all level of education and state the range of renumeration you and i kno that na graduate go still full the interview Bros their are better ways and better heading to advertise such job that wil stil attract graduate I am callinng on any affected body to such advert and take drastic action its not good for Nigeria educational system let forget about just food on our table let all be brave and die like men. Let not one man diminish our future more private companies are coming to invest into power, refinaries and lot more they will need nigerian graduate to carryout the task of the engineering and lot more so guys dangote advert is not portraying nigerian graduate in the right manner.
