God bless you my brother for your intelligent contribution. Nigeria with a GDP of about 500 billion US Dollars can actually carry a debt burden of like btw 100 and 150 billion Dollars. The only snag there is whether we would use the funds judiciously without a huge chunk or almost all of it ending up in private pockets. Yeah, that's the major ish. Let's hope Buhari will make use of this 30 billion dollars wisely. We're watching!
My brother most of our people don't know that critical infrastructure are done on credit and your capacity to borrow is determined by your economy size, as it is Nigeria can handle a debt of over $100billion, but people always have political undertones in everything, furthermore, I agree with your fear of the politicians that may embezzle the borrowed money, my suggestion will be to appoint a private sector project management consultant to supervise the implementation of funds on critical infrastructure. Am talking of something like Afri project consotium(APC) that manage the entire PTF project in the late nineties

Stupid sense. So you want to foolishly put us all in debt knowing that we will definitely have corrupt leaders that will misappropriation them and then put us at the mercy of the borrower despite the fact that Nigeria is not ONE. Our very existence is not sure so why continue to colonise the people together.
Your response have clearly demonstrated the fact that your intellectual capacity cannot comprehend what I wrote, so must you comment.
Politics › Re: $250bn Needed For Infrastructure Development- FG by HAH:
Truly, the only way to improve on the economy is by having the best of infrastructure and honestly $250billion is very doable over 10 years if it will be effectively and judiciously used.

This can be source true earning from taxation, oil export and borrowing, talking about borrowing. I see a lot of misinformed people complaining about debt, well the truth is every developed nation was built on debt and Nigeria a country With a GDP of about $500billion is seriously under debted with debt of less than $40billion. Wise business people use other people's money to grow there business same ways wise countries borrow to built infractructure.. the USA has a total debt of $17trillion, China $5trillion, Japan $4trillion, even Egypt that have a lesser economy than Nigeria has a debt of over $400billion.

Sometimes debt serves as security to you because when you owe your creditors will not allow any harm on you as you can only pay back when you are alive, same way if a country is seriously in debt it creditors will ensure stability in the nation to ensure their debt is paid back, just imagine the fate of somalis creditors since 1991 that they haven't had a stable government

It is very ok to borrow to fund infrastructure but don't borrow for recurrent expenditures like paying salaries, when you borrow to pay salary it means you are employing more than your capacity

Alhamdulillah! U didn't call me a disbeliever coz that is the next step a salafist would have done! Whoever disagrees with them is a believer. Why didn't U attack the message, guess I hit U below the belt! Exonerating salafism from terrorism is akin to saying Bokoharam has never killed anybody and is an utter disservice to muslim world and humanity in general! What most salafists do, is justiying the killing of their fellow muslim brothers and not denying the violence that emanated from Salafism coz those violences r clear to the blind and audible to the deaf. Most muslim countries r now taming the fanatical takfir. The grestest scholars terrorists have are: Ibn Taimiyyah, Ibn Qayyim, Albani and other sheikh influenced by these sheikhs.

If any nations want to stop terrorism the teachings of the bolded must be banned and as long as they are free taught in schools and made reference to in tafsir we can never kill terrorism.

Boko Haram is just a symptom of their teaching and for terrorism to be eliminated the ideology Of ibn tayyimiyah, ibn qayyim, Albani and encapsulated by abd Wahab must be stopped.

Sadly in Nigeria now the Buhari government is blindly with them, that was why you see their imams paying visits to him and also using him for proxy war with shia

Walaikum Salaam, I understand what you meant but I wont suggest that out of respect for Islam. You may end up doing exact same thing they do to other sects. They should have took my advice to take it easy on others when they kept ranting and degrading other sects. I kept telling them but they think Salafi is the "only" way to Jannah. Now this is the result of their work, payback (BASHING). I honestly do not blame you for your suggestion. I am a Muslim and I prefer to remain so.

The thing is, these brothers don't seem to understand the world and its political theory. The moment I noticed that they dont know Saudi's link with the West, as in formidable alliance, I sensed they have no idea what they doing. So please dont create separate thread. It may cause sectarianism which is something I have ALWAYS go against. I am sorry i dont want to be part of it.

As for BH, believe it or not, their weapons arent coming down from the sky. POWERFUL forces created them, the same forces Saudi allied with. I try as much to refrain from saying Saudi funds terrorism but their hands are not clean BASE on their unholy alliance with kufar. Their Fatwa against suicide bombing doesn't prove anything. We also need to distinguish common angry Muslims (as a result of condition of Palestinians) from mainstream terror. As it stands right now, I am sorry to say that Wahabi/salafi methodology will continue to thrive in nigeria and the world of Islam will get worst. Thats a proof of their lopsided manhaj.

Besides, there are ahadith located in Sunna Abi Daud which they may consider daef. These ahadith speak of pending destruction of Saudi and it environs. It means there must be something fundamentally wrong with them for nabi (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) to say that. If joint Arabs/NATO forces bombing Libya in 2011 did not open their eyes I dont know what will. If Saudi bombing of Yemen at behest of US did not open their eyes I dont know what will.

I may post some comments by Americans about this issue of alliance for them to see. Please dont create sectarian thread. Thanks
Thank you very much my brother, thank you for this matured response one thing I believe is with time the terrorist giving islam bad name in the name of salafi or wahabism will self destruct themselves, even presently, the latter days salafis are calling Izalas as archaic and traditionalist, Izala that laid foundation for salafism in Nigeria, soon people will know their hypocrisy

Salam, I think we need to have a counter thread on evils the Wahabis|salafis are doing to Islam, we need to do anything to save the image of our religion. Especially with their gradual spread in Nigeria., let the world know the group giving islam bad name, let the term Islamic terrorist be replaced by salafi or wahabi terrorist

Personally I believe even if Boko Haram is defeated as long as the wahabi ideology inspired by ibn tayyimiyah is allowed to thrive another terrorist group will spring up and may be even deadlier .

As long as Wahabi or Salafis are allowed to keep spreading, terrorism has come to stay and please know the kind of islamiya we take our children to, because there are a lot of wahabi school disguised as ahlus sunna islamiya. Mostly foreign funded.

I know there a lot of them here and there ways are always arrogant and violent please let us not be perturbed,

Some staunch salafis in Madina are saying that the prophets and his two companions abubakar and Umar tomb should be relocated to bakiyyah and be buried in an unmarked grave. That people visiting the tomb beside the prophets mosque is idolatry.

Abubakar RA was the one the caliph that buried the prophet and created the tomb, so are the present day wahabis telling us the abubakar RA is not knowledgeable enough to have buried the prophet in his house which now part of the prophets mosque?

If you have been to madina and went to ziyara to uhud where Hamza RA and others were killed in the battle of uhud you will see his tomb circled with stone, this was done by the prophet himself, so where are the present day wahabis getting the idea Graves should be unmarked?

Rafidi:
in Islam, self defense is the only time the use of force is justified. Whether Shia, Sunni Sufi or mainstream (only) Sunnis will testify to it.

Wahhabism aka Salafism is the only ideology under the banner of Islam that believes in TAKFIRI killings. What is takfiri killings? Wahhabis pass verdicts of disbelief against all other Muslims and hold that shedding their blood is permissible. The same goes to their treatment of non-Muslims. They call you a kaffir or an unbeliever, and to them that merits your blood being shed. This backward and bloodthirsty ideology has nothing to offer good to humanity or Islam. It is not Islam. Even if they hold custody of Makkah and medina for 5000 years, with such ideology of blood, Wahhabism will never and can never be Islam.

That is the reason you have a group like Boko haram has no cause and no mission other than those it perceives as its enemies and those different from them and who hold different beliefs. They aimlessly kill people with different beliefs. Worse, anyone they disagree with can easily be labeled a disbeliever even if that person is Sunni! Wahhabism has put a stain on Islam. That is why even when Muslims have a legitimate cause to fight for and defend, people view Muslims with suspicion and scorn. They easily discredit Muslims as violent people. Now Muslims cannot legitimately fight to defend themselves even when they are right to do so.

All the terrorist groups on earth follow the Wahhabi aka Salafist ideology. All of them with no exception. Any group that is not Salafist and is called a terrorist group, know that that group is being victimized. Many would try to paint hezbollah (they are Shia) as a terrorist group because Israel and America say so. Hezbollah has a national cause in Lebanon. Their mission is to drive out Israeli occupation from Lebanese land. Hezbollah don't go about killing people based on takfirism or based on their beliefs. No Muslim group does that except those under Salafism. That is the definition of terrorism.
Jazakallah hairan you have said it as it is, weldone and keep it up, we must defend our religion from this blood thirsty being called Wahabi terrorist

Wahhabism terrorism has entered history, nothing can erase it.
Wahabism started becoming known after the discovery of oil in saudi Arabia, they use the wealth from oil to propagate it, before oil discovery saudi was a very poor country administration of mecca and madina were funded by Muslim nations but most came from ottoman empire(present day turkey), even northern Nigeria government send donation through sardauna, then mecca had all it artifact intact but when they got money and decided to fully implement wahabism they destroyed every monument in the name of stopping shirk, today makkah is looking like dubai nothing to show that that is the city where the prophet and many caliph were born.

In the late 60s the budgeted $100B for propagation of wahabism to the world, they contacted sheik mahmud Gumi to the job in Nigeria, Gumi was the grand khadi of northern Nigeria, he founded Izala movement to lay the foundation of wahabism in Nigeria.

The second phase started with scholarship to quranic student to university of madina where they will be taught wahabism well, most of them came back and propagated it well, a typical example is Sheik Jafar Mahmud Adam, after studying in medica he was employed to be the preacher and imam at Indimi mosque maiduguri in 1994, sheik Jafar later appointed Mohammed yusuf amirul shabab( leader of youth) mohammed yousuf had so much followership before of his pierce preaching, he went ahead to establish his own mosque and name it Markas ibn tayyimiyah in railway quaters maiduguri and establish his police and army, to establish an Islamic state that was how Boko Haram was born

If you want to have a clear view about the history of wahabism and it spread read below, personally I see them as genesis of Terrorism in islam

Wahhabism (Arabic: الوهابية‎‎, al-Wahhābiya(h)) or Wahhabi mission[1] (/wəˈhɑːbi, wɑː-/;[2] Arabic: الدعوة الوهابية‎‎, ad-Da'wa al-Wahhābiya(h) ) is a religious movement or branch of Sunni Islam.[3][4][5][6] It has been variously described as "ultraconservative",[7] "austere",[3] "fundamentalist",[8] or "puritan(ical)"[9][10] and as an Islamic "tore "pure monotheistic worship" (tawhid) by scholars and advocates,[11] and as a distortion of Islam by its opponents.[3][12] The term Wahhabi(ism) is often used polemically and adherents commonly reject its use, preferring to be called Salafi or muwahhid.[13][14][15] The movement emphasises the principle of tawhid[16] (the "uniqueness" and "unity" of God).[17] Its principal influences include Ahmad ibn Hanbal (780–855) and Ibn Taymiyyah (1263–1328).[18]

Wahhabism is named after an eighteenth-century preacher and scholar, Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab (1703–1792).[19] He started a revivalist movement in the remote, sparsely populated region of Najd,[20] advocating a purging of practices such as the popular "cult of saints", and shrine and tomb visitation, widespread among Muslims, but which he considered idolatry (shirk), impurities and innovations in Islam (Bid'ah).[5][17] Eventually he formed a pact with a local leader Muhammad bin Saud offering political obedience and promising that protection and propagation of the Wahhabi movement mean "power and glory" and rule of "lands and men."[21]

The alliance between followers of ibn Abd al-Wahhab and Muhammad bin Saud's successors (the House of Saud) proved to be a durable one. The House of Saud continued to maintain its politico-religious alliance with the Wahhabi sect through the waxing and waning of its own political fortunes over the next 150 years, through to its eventual proclamation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1932, and then afterwards, on into modern times. Today Ibn Abd Al-Wahhab's teachings are the official, state-sponsored form of Sunni Islam[3][22] in Saudi Arabia.[23] With the help of funding from Saudi petroleum exports[24] (and other factors[25]), the movement underwent "explosive growth" beginning in the 1970s and now has worldwide influence.[3]

The "boundaries" of Wahhabism have been called "difficult to pinpoint",[26] but in contemporary usage, the terms Wahhabi and Salafi are often used interchangeably, and they are considered to be movements with different roots that have merged since the 1960s.[27][28][29] However, Wahhabism has also been called "a particular orientation within Salafism",[30] or an ultra-conservative, Saudi brand of Salafism.[31][32] Estimates of the number of adherents to Wahhabism vary, with one source (Mehrdad Izady) giving a figure of fewer than 5 million Wahhabis in the Persian Gulf region (compared to 28.5 million Sunnis and 89 million Shia).[23][33]

Many Sunni and Shia Muslims disagree with the Wahhabi movement, and a widely circulated conspiracy theory holds it to have been a product of British secret service efforts for causing the demise of the Ottoman empire.[34] Ulema, including Al-Azhar ma, including Al-Azhar scholars, regularly denounce Wahhabism in terms such as "Satanic faith".[34] Wahhabism has been accused of being "a source of global terrorism",[35][36] inspiring the ideology of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL),[37] and for causing disunity in Muslim communities by labelling Muslims who disagreed with the Wahhabi definition of monotheism as apostates[38] (takfir) and justifying their killing.[39][40][41] It has also been criticized for the destruction of historic mazaars, mausoleums, and other Muslim and non-Muslim buildings and artifacts.
