Its now Over 2 weeks since i deposited funds to my MMF account there have been nothing from Stanbic IBTC till now. This is the worst customer service i have experienced in my life. I now regret doing business with them.

Thanks, they resetted the password so it is now working in the mobile app. But the same password that works in the mobile app dont work in the online account.
I wonder what is the problem

for me the same password works. I dnt know why urs is different

I subscribed for mmf and they sent me a password to login . After logging in, i changed my password to a desirable one. I logged out, trying to test this new password by re-logging in but it keep showing notification failure. I
I went to the reset password page and it was asking for answer to a secret question. Pls has anyone experienced this?

If u have completed registration, they should send you a link on their site where you can set security question and answer.

Sanusi, opetobi is very very correct. I did not only copy part of d given financial statements as appendix, i formulated all the figures in my ratios,figures in my eva was assumed and all other calculations in my appendix. But they were logically presented. I even referenced them in my main report. I ended up scoring 61%... I think the basic thing u need to pass case study is ur report writing skills. U must be able to come up with a logical,and well organized report... Contact me if interested

I'm not sure why you need to redraft the FS in your answer sheet. For ratio analysis, you can show the formular on how you derive the ratios (to aid the examiner's understanding) and then calculate the ratios. With this you can always do 80% of your analysis, if you need to infer from the case, you can always do that from the question. I'm pretty sure you wont get any extra marks for copying questions or redrafting the FS in your answers sheet.

Please do you the process of conversion from ICAN to ACCA. The person has completed their exams but the person has not done induction. What documents are required to process exemption and what papers would they write

I am not too sure abt the documents but its 5 papers currently, 4 from sept diet. All professional level papers.

There was time I subscribed 800k by online transfer and I uploaded proof of payment and I also sent the same proof of payment to their email. Guess what? They credited 1.6 million instead of 800k. I contacted them immediately and they replied me that they appreciate for being phones but they advised me that once I upload proof of payment online there is no need to send proof of payment by email again.

Hmmn.. thats surely a control deficiency in their system which says a lot abt the risk of losing funds. I deposited 450k.. my fingers are still crossed. I am not in lag currently so i cant visit their office.. perhaps by next week i will start to do it the hard way with them.. very dissapointed.

if you hadn't mailed them it won't reflect which is not suppose to be so, the same thing happened last year to one of my top ups and i end up having double reflection of my top up since last year and it was just reversed this afternoon after series of mails. If it happens to anyone here, it won't be a surprise because someone has shared similar experience on here.

The annoying part is that i had deposited what one may call "huge fund".. a big mistake on my part.. should have tried with a cheap amt first

For those that want to do stanbic MMF top up, I will advise you download their app on your phone and through that you can do all your transactions which includes top up, online redemption, and even monitor your money because it gives daily updates.
Recently I did top up and forwarded a mail via their app informing them of the additional subscription and requesting them to update my account. My mail was responded to and in less than 48 hours, the said amount reflected in my account.
Since I joined stanbic MMF, I haven't walked into any of their branch office, all transactions is done via their Mobile App at my convenience.

Is it not online i did that i am having this issue? Their customer service is poor, period!! You're lucky today that you arent in my shoes, it may be you some other time.

there is something wrong with urs pls stanbic has been very good, i did top up on my account via their online platform on tuesday around 5pm and just this morning i checked my account and it has reflected it took less than 48hrs. any top up that lasts over 48hrs is problematic.

write n call their customer care or visit any stanbic IBTC branch for quick resolution otherwise you may wait forever, regards

You are just 1 out of several people, so its not enough to conclude they are good enough. Day by day they keep telling me they are working on it. Im tired abeg its almost 2 weeks now. Isnt it better i left the money in a savings account!

where are you? The asset management arm of ibtc has branches in port harcourt, lagos and abuja.

you can go there and rectify all instantly.

I'm in Ibadan. It has been debited and GT Connect confirmed this, they said they will request for Stanbic to refund the money but haven't seen anything since then.

For Stanbic MF guys, they claimed they are working on it and trying to ensure they received the money. The last person that picked my call even cut the call after few seconds of discussion. I'm tired of these guys, i will probably not continue the MF investment after getting my money!

chai my head dey swell for una oo. Seeing people achieving what you want to achieve gives one the courage that one can do it too. Please, bro kindly share some tips on how to prepare well and pass the papers. Tips that helped you. And please, if you have materials as well, kindly be of help.

I always ensured i grasp the concepts of every area of the syllabus.. i took lectures for the whole fundamental papers plus p2 and p4.. then self study for p1 p3 n p7 which are my last papers.

What i noticed is that even after i took lectures, i still had to satisfy every curiosity i had with respect to the syllabus and exam. So in the end its more like I was in fact doing self study. For this reason i did self study for my final 3 papers.

My advise: Get a summary note for the exam and a normal comprehensive revision kit by bpp. There are several summary acca notes online for each paper which are provided by different tution centres around the world, just pick anyone that suits you.. for my last papers, i was using open tuition notes and that of Skans school of accountancy in pakistan.

The idea is to grasp the concepts as quickly as possible in order to spend more time on practicing questions. It is when you practice questions you will know your weakness and whether u are ready for the exam or not. In dying minutes i just flip through answers in the revision kits like i am reading a normal text book.

Always have the mindset that you really want to learn about the paper. See yourself like you want to be such a person in practice. In fin reporting papers i think like a reporting accountant, in audit i think like an auditor, in p4 I think like a financial analyst, in p3 like a business analyst, in p1 like a member of an audit/risk commitee and a person with strong ethical principles. This helps me enjoy the papers and i am usually almost certain that i will do well in the exams.

You can join Acca groups on whatsapp (there are many of them, international one's infact); you will meet like minds and this will motivate you that you can do it, you can ask questions anytime too.

Be confident that you are "good enough" to pass any exam. It takes away unnecessary pressure and fear.

These are the principles throughout my Acca journey and i never failed a single paper.

I have some materials for p1 p3 n p7 since they are my most recent papers.

Lol, relax dude; my earlier statement wasn't actually intended to be a "stick" at you. However, I just "thought" you should be a lot more certain when contributing to a discourse like that on this sort of platform with very vast readership. Some folks might actually momentarily make a poor long-term decision in their subconscious, based on what they have read from such conversations, because they just might believe you are sure of what you have said and actually take your word for it, without even bothering to run further proper check.

Why would anyone take a post that clearly suggests less than 100% certainty as final? Thats laziness!! You can't be spoonfed everytime. If you notice, some of my comments are with certainty while others are not; would you rather that i say i dont know at all when i have above 50% knowledge of the matter?

How can you be thinking? Please you have to be sure of the information you give us here, so you don't misguide people.

If someone says he thinks, he is suggesting he is not 100% certain and it is left for you as the reader to do a further research. Half information is better than none dude, besides Acca review policies very often so it is impracticable for me to know everything with 100% certainty at every point in time.

And what do you mean how can i be thinking? Did you employ me as a research personnel for you?

The 5 papers you listed here is inclusive of the paper that qualifies you for the BSc Accounting? If not, please help explain how an ACA (ICAN) holder can get the ACCA + BSc.
