Apparently, ICAN is following ACCA footsteps, 4 times a year exams, modification if syllabus.

Ican to get its own university? Lost priority, there is always a difference between academic and professionals.

Did I see higher than ACCA? With their shitty questions, website, exam centres.. etc. Every improvement made by ican has long been implemented by Acca. Check ACCA website alone, the resources provided there is enough to make one a complete accountant, Acca also interacts with its students better and conduct continuous research. You have opportunity to do CBEs in Acca in Fundamentals and Skills... If ican really wants to be at acca level, they must work very hard. Unfortunately na naija we dey, the process is still mediocre, so dont expect top notch output. Its good to know they are chasing well tho.

Am a graduate of Accounting, I have not written ICAN tho and am currently serving, notwithstanding I want to start applying for jobs.

Anyone with experience? of what I should expect, what should I know? which particular skills should I have? , I never worked in an office before, I'm actually looking for a little job because am preparing for my MSc abroad.

I just need contributions & insights from anyone here, as a fresh graduate.

Experience and ICAN before Msc, you don't really need MSc much unless you are intending to go into Accounting academics, sit for your Ican and complete it asap. Ensure to apply for the big 4 graduate trainee programmes. If you cant make the big 4, there are decent medium sized accounting firms, the focuz is to build a foundation, If you don't have a good foundation, you may be a quack for life, so just take the pain now.

During your practice, you will learn several skills.

Also this might help...How I calculate my daily interest ( I do this once a week)

1. I find the difference between today's and yesterday's interest.
2. I divide the amount in (1) above by the the difference between the available balance and the available interest and multiply by 365 (days).
3. (2) above is the interest rate for that day and the difference between (2) above and the amount quoted on their website is their total % deduction.

The interest is the difference between what was invested and what you have now. It may not always be equal to what you can see on the app as interest because a part of it may have been reinvested as principal

The mgt fee/deduction is around 0.35% to 0.45%. (thats y i said they are not transparent)

They deduct on your daily interest, the interest paid is after their deduction and No they do no deduct on redemption, only the normal bank transfer charges.

You won't be able to retrieve on the app (at least not that I know of) but log in to the mobile site and try to redeem. Under where it asks for your security answer, you'd see where you can retrieve your security question
