That advert is on point! Its time for change. |
Quick tip to LHPay staff (International processor without a Nigerian address whose staff spend all their time on Nigerian forum): You can get seo service on fiverr for $5. That's if this does not impact your yearly budget too much. It may also be possible to get a linux admin to tune your server on fiverr for $5. That's a $10 expense for you. You can get a loan for it. |
My posts definitely makes sense but it wont make sense to LHPay and their staff posting on Nairaland with different identities. What do you expect? That i should blindly say that LHPay is properly setup? Abeg, no let me start analyzing the "International Payment Processor". Just try to upload sitemap.xml, robots.txt and work on your seo optimisation seriously. This may help you rank better, maybe like 600,000 globally and 100,000 in Nigeria. Also, you may need a server administrator to tune your server. Its too slow. Its not suitable for large API connections. I'm available for consultation but no free lunch. lol. |
Kunlayd:You get job for me? Now for those who are surprised that a lady can make tech analysis, here's more: 1. Using same image, same design and even google fonts is more than a coincidence for a payment processor. A payment processor is not a blog or forum where you can just install an opensource solution and get templates. Every line of html, css, javascript and probably php will have to be carefully planned. I have checked both sites and they were both developed from scratch. None of them used a commercial or opensource payment processing app. Verify this with http://builtwith.com/ 2. LHPay had a logo that indicates LHPay.in (.in is for india) and they claim they are in USA and Cyprus but they are using same image, design, fonts e.t.c with a Nigerian company. The black people in the image are not typical of Indian or European or American company. Who is deceiving who? A real company will consider its market, this will influence its strategy which includes design. if i owned LHPay, i would use an image that contained mixed races. 3. They quickly changed their picture after i posted my analysis. Seems like they were awaiting my post. lols. 4. They claim nairaland account is operated by Any Staff of LHPay on behalf of the company. Seriously? If I am a staff of the company, i can just post rubbish without approval or authorisation? Are you even a company at all or you need to learn how companies are run. SO every staff knows your company's Nairaland password? Dia is God o. For the records, I am not a teenager and i am not a he. Stop expecting everyone to be a male before they can have a brain. Sorry LHPay guys, i just dont like rip offs. |
Who copied who? Its either they both used the same template or one copied the other. In case of the latter, i think LHPay would have copied VoguePay for the following reasons: 1. Lhpay.net is an entity registered in Cyprus and owned by LoadedHost LLC (Registered Business In the US)Why is a cyprus and US portal using the image of 2 black people only? This would be understandable for Voguepay that is a Nigerian company but for LHPay which even has an indian tld in its logo, using 2 black people doesn't make any sense if you are aiming at India, US and Cyprus. 2. VoguePay was created 3 years before LHPay. Hmmmn. Domain Name: LHPAY.NET Registrar: PDR LTD. D/B/A PUBLICDOMAINREGISTRY.COM Creation Date: 16-may-2014 Domain Name: VOGUEPAY.COM Registrar: ENOM, INC. Creation Date: 22-oct-2011 3. LHPay does not validate with W3C validator on http://validator.w3.org/ but voguepay does. IMHO, This may be that LHPay was an hurriedly put together version of Voguepay. 4. LHPay's homepage is 10 times slower than VoguePay's homepage (according to alexa.com) which may mean that LHPay's template is not properly optimized when they copied it. However, there's also a possibility that they both used the same template. |
I got a mail from Stanbic IBTC Bank that they have suspended the use of their MasterCard on some ecommerce websites. (See attached image) It appears the sites listed are the giants, movers and shakers of Nigeria’s eCommerce. Among the sites on the list are www.jumia.com, www.voguepay.com, www.quickteller.com, www.bet365.com, www.pagatech.com and www.naijatopup.com. I perceive that these sites were targeted. What kind of system upgrade is Stanbic IBTC doing that they know the exact sites to suspend from accepting their cards without suspending the others? Stanbic has not accused these sites of any wrongdoing, they were just selected for suspension based on a criteria that is "Stanbic Classified". The big questions are; We can still use our stanbic cards on foreign websites but some local ones are suspended. Why? Where is the cashless Nigeria headed if Nigerian sites are being blacklisted by a South African bank and the cards still work on South African websites? Was Jumia banned because Konga(A major competitor) is owned by Naspers, a south African company? Were Voguepay, Paga and Quickteller (The biggest payment processors) suspended because Naspers(A south african investor) is planning on starting a payment processor in Nigeria after failing to acquire some local payment processors in Mid 2013? Is stanbic IBTC bank targeting competitors of south African brands in Nigeria? If the stanbic people are here, I would like an explanation because some of the banned businesses I contacted claimed they have never been accused of any wrongdoing by stanbic in the past and they were not notified before their suspension.

I prefer voguepay too. I use voguepay and they seem to have the best service (although, far from perfect, they still stand out amongst the rest. ) You shouldn't compare the two. You can compare simplepay and payfas. The alexa rating of simple pay is very discouraging fora payment processor. Just my opinion though. |
I think you are being propelled by money rather than passion. Find out what you have passion for and put your money there. |
aterad: Halima thanks for the info.pls i need to contact u, pls send ur phone contact to my mail (oludareman@yahoo.com) so dat i can call u. ThanksWill mail u shortly. |
^^^I dont think anyone of them do yet. |
VOGUEPAY INTEGRATION COST FOR BUSINESS IS #2,000 AND THEY CHARGE MORE TRANSACTION FEE THAN ANY OTHER.Actually, they charged N1000 not N2000 for business verification for each of my clients and they say its because interswitch requires them to send every business registeration for approval or confirmation or whatever if the business wants to accept mastercard. I think the money may be for courier service. That charge only applies to you if you open a business account it does not apply to personal accounts. However, voguepay provides a summary and justification of how much i earn through their transaction history page. Interswitch does not provide any explanation. Its how much they send you that you have to accept. No explanations and you cant contest it. I called voguepay and a guy said they are working on integrating mastercard without interswitch. The guy also said most of the attached interswitch charges will be reduced or removed. He didn't want to give me any more details but i believe that the N1000 for business accounts will be removed. |
The security situation in this country is worsening. God help us. |
talk2me006: Halima! is like u have enough time to write all those things over thereWould you prefer that i allow them scam people before i raise an alarm? I have lost money online before and it was particularly painful. Wouldn't wish that for anyone. I am not a security specialist but i have observed possible sql injection vulnerabilities on payfas. With the level of poor job done on that site, i will not be suprised if some folders on their hesk ticketing support system are created with vulnerable permissions. |
@aciveman Now that your questions have been answered and you have been put in the right place regarding whether Voguepay can process without Interswitch and valuecard(as you put it), will you let matters rest. Or what are your new questions? Your claim of interswitch's kingship through monopoly has expired abi? Please note, i am not Voguepaay. If you have grudges against them, why dont you contact them rather than trying to deny their exceptional solution? Of all the companies doing payments, Voguepay is the only reasonable one not owned by banks or government. Interswitch is owned by banks and costs N150k to integrate. Unified payments is owned by banks and costs N105k to integrate. Global pay is owned by a bank and costs N75k to integrate. GTPay is owned by a bank and costs N75k to integrate. Voguepay is owned by a Nigerian company and is free to integrate. Yet, voguepay has the most developer friendly features. What did they do to you? |
The owners of this payment processor should provide answers to the following questions. If they claim to be a payment processor, at least they should get the basics right. Payfas is using positive ssl which costs N100 per month. Its even the cheapest on namecheap. Why would a real payment processor not be able to afford a sensible security certificate? Payfas is not even among the top 5,000 websites in Nigeria on alexa and not among the top 2 Million in the world. Why? Is it just starting up or is it that it has no history or no users? According to Alexa, payfas has no business websites linked to it. The only 2 sites linked to it are nairaland and domainprcheck.com probably because of the posts you have on them. I know they own jobstadia.com, does that mean they are not using their own payment processor? Is no one really using paylfas or is it a scam? Payfas is sharing a server with sites like jobstadia.com instead of having a server dedicated to it for something as delicate as payment processing. Is it that the owners cant afford a dedicated server for payfas? Payfas is using the free and vulnerable version of Hesk support tickets. They also cannot afford a paid support ticket script despite the security loopholes on the free version of hesk. Are they inviting hackers or are they just plain ignorant? Or is it too much to program their own if they cant buy a supported version? Why did you launch a site with so many errors: https://www.payfas.com/images/howitworks/register_files/like_data/ https://www.payfas.com/images/ https://www.payfas.com/images/howitworks/ https://www.payfas.com/images/howitworks/register_files/ I do not want to mention the sensitive flaws on your site so i wont be giving out free entry points to hackers. But you should fix the above listed ASAP. Did you not have a security consultant or you just developed a payment processor without security in mind? The attached images shows where payfas.com have copied content ( plagiarism ) from other payment processors: Voguepay.com, Simplepay4u.com and payza.com. Shouldn't you at least edit your copy and paste job? If a blog or bulk sms site or hosting site does this king of poor job, they will be criticized. What are we supposed to do to you now?
|
@pafas owners: You may want to edit your error page. This is not befitting for an ecommerce site: https://www.payfas.com/helpdesk/admin/fraud.php Now i'm giving out free advice. |
Do not use payfas for your own good. @puzuwe: I recommend that you stay with proven payment processors. Get your money out of payfas while you can. I will never use such a poorly planned payment processor until the owners provide an explanation to the following questions. Why? Is no one really using paylfas or is it a scam? Payfas is sharing a server with sites like jobstadia.com instead of having a server dedicated to it for something as delicate as payment processing. Is it that the owners cant afford a dedicated server for payfas? Thats seems too obvious since they are using N100 per month security certificate. SECURITY: Payfas is using the free, unsupported and vulnerable version of Hesk support tickets. They also cannot afford a paid support ticket script despite the security loopholes reported on stackoverflow.com about the free version of hesk. Are they inviting hackers or are they just plain ignorant of how sensitive payment processing is? Or is it too much to program their own if they cant buy a supported version? Why did you launch a site with so many security loopholes: https://www.payfas.com/images/howitworks/register_files/like_data/ https://www.payfas.com/images/ https://www.payfas.com/images/howitworks/ https://www.payfas.com/images/howitworks/register_files/ I do not want to mention the sensitive flaws on your site so i wont be giving out free entry points to hackers. But you should fix the above listed ASAP. Did you not have a security consultant or you just developed a payment processor without security in mind? You can PM me if you need security services but i will never use you. zebudaya: Thank you all for your clever and spirited discussion. This is the best discussion thread I've seen on Nairaland. No fighting, no spammers, just brilliant analysis from everyone. Since I'm the referee, I declare Voguepay the champion. The poster has declared his champion in case you have not read it. FYI picking a winner and picking a champion is not so different. The answer to your questions. CAN VOGUEPAY PROCESS MASTER CARD PAYMENT WITHOUT INTERSWITCH?Yes. Etrazact now processes mastercard (see image attached). Voguepay has etranzact license but does not process mastercard through them (Don't ask me why, ask Voguepay). Voguepay will require a license from mastercard to process mastercard directly. With the present mastercard drive to cover Nigeria and Nigerian businesses (including Hiring Nigerians for PR) i believe this is very possible. Infact, if Voguepay does not approach mastercard soon, mastercard may approach them. I called Global pay and they confirmed they dont process mastercard through Interswitch. They process directly. I called GTPay and they confirmed they are working on direct integration with mastercard. So that makes the mastercard players many: Interswitch, eTranzact, GlobalPay, GTPay......and hopefully, voguepay will join soon. CAN VOGUEPAY PROCESS VISA CARD PAYMENT WITHOUT VALUCARD NIGERIA?YES. Etrazact now processes visa (see image attached). Voguepay processes it through Unified Payments not through VALUCARD(see attached image 2) while Interswitch cannot process VISA cards at all. If there are still issues that are unclear to you, feel free to use google. You can start with the following links to see how much interest mastercard has been showing in Nigerian businesses and government lately: http://www.mastercard.com/us/company/en/newsroom/nigeria_payments_industry.html http://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/10/mastercard-seeks-growth-of-nigerias-payments-industry/ http://www.punchng.com/business/technology/embrace-e-commerce-mastercard-urges-nigerian-businesses/ http://www.digitalsensenews.com.ng/2013/01/mastercard-president-lauds-nigeria.html http://www.businessdayonline.com/NG/index.php/markets/companies-and-market/48836-mastercard-appoints-nigerian-advisory-services-leader

What movie is this from? |
AIrtel is a wasteof money. I cant wait for number portability to become operational so that i can switch my number to another network. Airtel does not understand the concept of excellence. |
ActiveMan: lolThe Op is already satisfied and has picked a winner for his question. Answering your question does not contribute to the thread so i consider that unnecessary. Why keep arguing when your question does not indicate who is best? it only satisfies your desire for a blind and unconstructive arguement. Stop arguing like a kid and get something else to do. I'm sure there must be something else worthy of your energy. This thread has been resolved. The peron who asked the question has picked a winner. |

Choice of words! |
Does that mean every state should declare holiday because Jonathan is Visiting? Shio. |
@activeman It appears you are not making any effort to answer the poster's question. You have been trying to enforce an ideology without anwering the question that started this thread. What yardstick should be used to measure the best payment processor in Nigeria? Does Interswitch meet them? Does voguepay meet them? does GTPay meet them? Who meets them the most? [edit] The poster must have known that this was going to be seriously contested before calling it royal rumble. |
The Op asks: zebudaya: From your experience, Which one is best? and why?And you want me to praise interswitch for being the first Mastercard MSP in Nigeria? Interswitch may be the first Mastercard MSP in Nigeria, but their customer support is the poorest, their integration is very hard, their setup cost is N150,000, their API is limited, their payout is epileptic and their platform has no features or tools. So how are they the best? Did you read the OP's post at all? Stop confusing first with best. Its time to wakeup! Moreover, the question is not limited to mastercard alone. It encompasses all available cards. |
