Nigeria at that time was the biggest debtor nation in Africa, So big was the debt we owed that even the US, UK and Germany refused to borrow us money. Obasanjo wished to get rid of Nigeria’s debt. So he hosted World leaders and begged them to help us clear our debt, but they didn’t so he had to hand the case over to Okonjo-Iweala. Okonjo-Iweala was also working her World
Bank connections, to have Nigeria reclassified as an
IDA-only country from a blend country, officially
receiving both IDA (International Development
Assistance) money and IBRD (International Bank for
Reconstruction and Development) commercial loans. In fact, the last time that Nigeria received any IBRD money
was in 1993. With the help of a research paper written by Todd Moss, Scott Standley and Nancy Birdsall of the Center for Global Development, Nigeria was so reclassified, which made it much easier for the Paris Club to grant debt relief.

But at the same times there is no concept as ’Lucky’ in government rather I think we should acknowledge the truth, what if he was Buhari’s kind of person, don’t you know he would have destroyed Nigeria within 3 years. Back to the topic. All these leaders brought cosmetic approach to Nigeria's problem.

For years our refineries had been experiencing yearly turn around maintenance that runs into hundred of million dollars without commensurate result of oil production. But at the twilight of Obasanjo's regime in 2007 to avert further waste, he sold Kaduna refinery to Dangote at a give away price of $165 million dollars. The following day after Yaradua was sworn in he revoked the sale!

Kaduna oil refining has not improved. But the yearly turn around maintenance continue till date running to billions of dollars.

Wrong! Obasanjo did not pay off Nigeria's debt, rather his Minister for Finance Mrs Ngozi Okonjo Iweala was responsible for all the efforts that led to Nigeria’s debt cancellation. Our debt was 30 billion dollars and 18 billion us dollars was forgiven thanks to Ngozi Okonjo iweala . It was not paid!
So tell me how he was lucky

At times, i feel disappointed, at the level of inferiority complex portrayed by most Nigerians, most especially those who have never in their lives left the shores of Nigeria. Today my contempt for such stupid mentality got fuelled by a post I saw on nairaland. The content of the post was just as stupid as the tittle, ’a begger in Canada is better than a billionaire in Nigeria’ please my fellow ’been to’ who have left the shores of Africa, doesn't that sounds stupid to y’all? How could some one be so daft? Does he even comprehend how much is a million dollar, not even to talk of a billion. Anyway, I blame him not, because anybody whom have ever travelled abroad before will know that the world is not different than Nigeria.
I would like to share the message I received from a friend of mine who visited Los Angeles Skid row area, please read it bellow:

I walked by a tent yesterday belonging to a unfortunately homeless person and they were both using m3th… the look in their eyes was dead… they just looked so sad and scared. The city is gorgeous, but the underbelly can be atrociously sad. You want to help them, but you can’t even make eye contact cause in their delirious state, they could harm you on accident… it’s upsetting all around in that department. The city has a seriously scary dark side .

Meanwhile, the dude who texted me is a White American guy, that is why I shared the message here on NL to show you how even a white guy feel about beggars and homeless People. So how, could a grown up person be so daft and idiotic? God forbids his kind of poverty!
His type can never be of use outside Nigeria, of he continue with Such Mentality.

That 90% of all politicians in the world, irrespective of positions they hold are worth more than 1 million dollars.

This is what I would do
I would relocate my family first to a country like Canada, UK or Australia (I don't consider the US safe due to police wahala for blacks). Since wifey is a nurse she can easily get a job anywhere in these countries.
Meanwhile back in Nigeria I would focus on buiytge business to the extent that it can almost run on autopilot and I can monitor it from abroad, then relocate to join my family.

Come on don't discourage him from migrating to America by using black people as an excuse, even Australian and Canadians cannot resist going to the US for one purpose or another. If it is about avoiding blacks then he can settle in States such as Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Delaware, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa,Wisconsin, Montana etc
Or he can settle in Somewhere like El Paso. Meanwhile experience is the best teacher, perhaps yours was nasty, mine was nice.
