THE SCHOOL CALLED MARRIAGE Marriage is the only school where you get the Certificate before you start. It's also a school where you will never graduate. It's a school without a break or a free period. It's a school where no one is allowed to drop out. It's a school you will have to attend every day of your life. It's a school where there is no sick leave or holidays. It's a school founded by God: 1.On the foundation of love. 2.The walls are made out of trust. 3.The door made out of acceptance. 4.The windows made out of understanding 5.The furniture made out of blessings 6.The roof made out of faith. Be reminded that you are just a student not the principal. God is the only Principal. Even in times of storms, don't be unwise and run outside. Keep in mind that, this school is the safest place to be. Never go to sleep before completing your assignments for the day. Never forget the C-word...Communicate. Communicate with your classmate and with the Principal. If you find out something in your classmate (spouse) that you do not appreciate, Remember your classmate is also just a student not a graduate, God is not finished with him/her yet. So take it as a challenge and work on it together. Do not forget to study the Holy Book (the main textbook of this school). Start each day with a sacred assembly and end it the same way. Sometimes you will feel like not attending classes, yet you have to. When tempted to quit find courage and continue. Some tests and exams may be tough but remember, the Principal knows how much you can bear and yet it's a school better than any other. It's one of the best schools on earth; joy, peace and happiness accompany each lesson of the day. Different subjects are offered in this school, yet love is the major subject. After all the years of theorizing about it, now you have a chance to practice it. To be loved is a good thing, but to love is the greatest privilege of them all. Marriage is a place of love, so love your spouse. More grace from God. What's your say on this? |

COMPREHENSIVE ANALYSIS OF SARAKIS TRIAL. Testifying against the senate president at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), the EFCC detective also claimed that Saraki’s personal account at GTB had an inflow of about N4 billion between 2005 and 2013. “When the defendant was governor of Kwara state between 2003 and 2011. The commission received several petitions from various groups. One of the petitioners was Kwara Freedom Network. They brought several petitions all bordering on abuse of office by the defendant, misappropriation of public fund and money laundering. “Sometime in 2014 the then executive chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Lamorde received intelligence reports of suspicious transactions involving the defendant. He set up a team of investigators. Our task was to investigate the intelligence reports. “The investigation report was reviewed by my team. In the course of our investigation, we discovered that there were several companies which were linked to the defendant. Some of them include Carlisle Properties Investment Ltd, Skyview Properties Ltd, LimKvars Ltd, and TIly-lie Ltd. Some of the companies maintain accounts at Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB), Zenith Bank, Access Bank, and other banks. “From the investigation, it was discovered that the defendant maintained three accounts at GTB. The first account is a naira currency account; the second is a US dollar account, and the third is a pound sterling account. “The naira account was analyzed, and it was discovered that between 2005 and 2013, the account had an in-flow of about N4 billion. The major source of in-flow into the accounts was loans taken from GTB within the period. The loans were about N2.5 billion, and the other source of in-flows into the account was massive lodgments by individuals. Other in flows into the account were from the companies. “It was discovered that money was used for the purchase of property. The dollar account was also analyzed. The major source of in-flow into the dollar account was Tily-lie Properties Ltd, which was about $2m. Another source was from Bureau de Change companies. And the rest was cash lodgments by individuals. The cash in the dollar account between 2009 and 2013 was $6m. We discovered that up to $3.4m was wired to American Express Services Europe Limited, which was used to fund the defendant’s American Express Service New York card account number 374588216836009. “The defendant wired over 1.5m pound sterling to Fortis Bank for the purchase of property in the UK. “After that, because of the suspicious in-flows into the account, the bank (GTB) officials were invited. The reason for the invitation of the officials was that some of the individuals who were making the cash lodgment into the account were bank officials. One Oluwa Tujimu reported to the commission. From our of interactions with him, we discovered that some of the lodgments were made through a superior at the bank, Bayo Daudu, who was the relationship manager of the account. In our interaction with Daudu, it was discovered the cash sums were handed over to him by the defendant for lodgment in the account. According to Daudu, he goes to Kwara state government house to collect the money from the defendant for lodgment into the account at the GRA Ilorin branch of GTB. “We discovered one name, Abdul Adama, who made transaction 50 times into the account in a single day. The sum was broken down to N600, 000 and N900,000, and was lodged in the same day. Subsequently, after that one Ubi made a lodgment on the same day about 20 times in the same range of N600, 000 and N900, 000. We looked for Adama and invited him. He reported that the cash sums were handed over to him by the defendant and stated further that the cash sums that were lodge in by Ubi into the same account were from the accused. “Adama and Ubi were personal assistants to the accused while he was governor. Further investigations revealed that other individuals who made lodgments into the account were fictitious. “GTB said they had done the needful by reporting the suspicious transaction. What NEXT? |
Consider this scenario: You were eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter knocked over a cup of coffee onto your business shirt. You harshly scolded your daughter for knocking the coffee cup over. She broke down in tears. After scolding her, you turned to your wife and criticized her for placing the cup too close to the edge of the table. A short verbal battle followed. You stormed upstairs and changed your shirt. Back downstairs you found your daughter had been too busy crying to finish breakfast and get ready for school. She eventually missed the school bus. Your wife must leave immediately for work. You rushed to the car and drove your daughter to school. Because you were late, you drove 80km/hr on a 60km/hr speed limit. After a 15 minute delay and eventually having to pay a traffic fine, you arrived at your daughter's school. Your daughter ran into the school premises without saying good-bye. You arrived at your office 20 minutes late only to discover you forgot your briefcase at home. Your day has started terribly already. As it continued, it seemed to get worse and worse. You transfered the aggression on your customers and subordinates in the office. You looked forward to going home. When you arrived home, you found a small wedge in your relationship with your wife and daughter because of how you reacted in the morning. The question now is, what or who created the bad day? A) The coffee B) Your daughter C) Your wife D) The road safety officer E) You The answer is You. Yes, you! You had no control over what happened with the coffee, but YOUR REACTION to the little scenario created the bad day. HERE IS WHAT SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED: Coffee splashed over you. Your daughter was about to cry. You gently said "It's OK honey, you just need to be more careful next time". You rushed upstairs, grab a new shirt and your briefcase. You came downstairs in time, looked through the window and saw your child getting into the school bus. She turned and waved. You and your wife kissed before you both went to work. You arrived 5 minutes early and cheerfully greeted staff. Your boss commented on how good a day you were having. Do you notice the difference? Two different scenarios both started the same way, but ended differently. Why? Because of YOUR REACTION. You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% is determined by YOUR REACTION. HERE ARE SOME WAYS TO APPLY THE PRINCIPLE. 1.) If someone says something negative about you, don't be upset. Let the attack roll off like water on glass. You don't have to let the negative comment affect you. React properly and it will not ruin your day. A wrong reaction could result in losing a friend or relationship, being fired, getting stressed out, etc. 2.) How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic? Do you lose your temper? Pound the steering wheel till it falls off? Do you curse? Does your blood pressure skyrocket? Do you try and bump them? Remember the 90/10 principle, and do not worry about it. 3.) You were told you lost your job. Must you lose your life as well? Use your "worrying" energy and time into finding another job. Everything will normalize again. 4.) The plane is late. It is going to mangle your schedule for the day. Why take out your frustration on the flight attendant? She has no control over what is going on. Use your time to study, get to know the other passengers, etc. Why get stressed out? It will only make things worse... Now you know the 90/10 principle. Never waste time laying emphasis on what went wrong, or who should be blamed, activate the "solution mode" immediately. I read this and I was impressed.... Cos I tend to over react sometimes and I also know many of us do same. Over to u my fellow nairalanders, what's your say? |

Please let me explain to those of us who don't understand Economic terms. Dollar has not increased since Buhari became president. 1. Dollar is not our currency so dollar should not be our business. 2. Our problem is not d government but our problem is our importers and consumers. 3. Naira has remained at 197 naira to 1 dollar since Buhari became president. 4. Buhari has promised not to devalue the Naira and he has maintained that promise. 5. Both at CBN and at interbank rates, dollar has remained 197. 6. However because we are too lazy to produce what we use in Nigeria we import even toothpicks and matches. 7. Buhari does not like d importation of luxury goods because luxury goods is d reason for most corruption, that is why he banned 41 products from having access to forex. 8. However when Nigerian importers insisted on importing those 41 products, FG asked them to find their dollar at d BDCs parallel market also known as black market. 9. And to discourage the pressure Nigerians are mounting on the Naira just to get dollars for importation, CBN banned DMBs from selling dollars to BDCs. 10. To survive the pressure of excess dollar demands, BDCs resorted to sourcing for dollars from neighbouring countries through illicit money laundering routes. 11. Because of the risks faced by BDCs to source for dollars, and because of the increase in demand for dollars by importers because China just resumed from their business holidays, BDCs keep increasing the price at which they exchange dollars to naira and now it is 400 naira to 1 dollars. 12. However that does not mean that govt has changed the exchange rate because if our genuine importers go to CBN and fill Form M to import raw materials for local production, they will get dollars at 197 naira each. 13. So the problem is that we love to consume luxury foreign products yet we are too lazy to manufacture them here. 14. For example u will see a dull girl using iPhone 5 without even knowing simple physics and computer engineering part of how that phone was produced. 15. I want Buhari to ban every foreign product from Nigeria until Nigerians learn to produce and use Made in Nigeria products. 16. Let us stop complaining about dollar as if dollar has become Nigeria's currency. 17. It is even bad enough that most of those complaining about the high exchange rate of dollar do not have 1 single dollar in their purse. PLEASE USE MADE IN NIGERIA PRODUCTS... God bless 9ja. Like & Comment if you wish Nigeria well Share if you love Nigeria ! |

PREGNANT BRIDES. Hello sisters, its being a while but can we talk? Yes, I mean now! Marriage is a good thing. Wedding is nice too. But when the bride's pregnant or defiled, The marriage has being dishonoured. the couple has already joined themselves. This is the common trend these days, I don't admire nor applaud it. Be the wife before you become a mother. If you are not aware, hear this now, Introduction is not wedding... Engagement is not wedding... Dating and courtship ain't wedding. 'Will you marry me?' 'I will', is not wedding. 'His papa and mama already know me' is not wedding. Your fiance/fiancee is not your wife or husband. You don't own his or her body and cant demand for it! Marriage is the ONLY license to have sex....... Make the marriage bed before you make babies. Stop forcing yourself on a guy by proposing to him by getting pregnant. Girlfriend, you are not suya, so no tasting! You hear me so? He wants to know if you are good in bed, You are not a store sample..... Tell Him that. He wants to know if you are fertile, You are not a lab rat. You come with a price, don't you? Some items comes with nice packaging, and Until their price is paid, you cant open to see what's in it. A man who pressurizes you for sex because your wedding is days away will ruin your relationship with God. He's not worthy of you. And finally, when sin blinds your eyes, You claim Love is blind the same way you accuse the devil for atrocities committed. God already set His standards. He is not negotiating with you. # FleeFornication. Those who know their God shall be strong and do exploits. Those who do not know their God shall be weak and exploited. The Anthem of hell is "EVERYONE IS DOING IT". Sweetheart, not everyone is heading to hell. KNOW YOUR GOD? |

WHAT A HUSBAND NEEDS FROM A WIFE IS NEVER SEX. Sex is an important element in marriage and until there is sexual intercourse between a husband and a wife, the marriage is not yet spiritually recognised. This shows how important sex is in marriage. When you look at how agressive men are towards sex you may think that what a man needs from a woman is sex. Of course, if he has not married you yet or he does not really intend to marry you what he will need from you is nothing above your body. But if he really intends to marry you or if you guys are already married sex is never what he needs from you - maybe let me say it better; "WHAT A MAN NEEDS MOST FROM A WOMAN IS NOT SEX." Many young girls think because they are sexually active and experience they will easily be married and have their husbands loving them. And when a man approaches for marriage they think the greatest asset they have to show the man is sex. Others also think once they are giving out their bodies it means they are giving out the best for which reason they will be chosen above all. There is this young girl who is very beautiful and sexually active. Due to that she thought sex is all that matters to a man. Ironically, she struggled for long before finally getting married. Her sexual dexterity could not win her the heart of a man until out of the blue and reason beyond imagination a very handsome good man married her. The wedding was grand and her tears were now gone. Unfortunately only a year after the wedding the marriage fell on rocks. Within five years three different men came her way but none could stay. The problem was simple. She thought sex was all that matters so she would never submit. But submission is what men need, not sex. It is time for our young ladies to know that when a man is ready to marry he will not look out for a woman who will satisfy his sex drive but a woman who will submit herself to him. Excuse my language, "every woman has vagina but not every woman has humility." So when you are a humble woman, you are an expensive jewel. And a man of integrity will fear to lose you. What does the holy book say, "wife, submit to your husband." The reason is that a man's true love goes out only for a woman who is sub missive. Your beauty cannot make another woman ugly but your humility can let him love you above all other women. Sadly, many young ladies in our days call submission as "control." And you will hear them saying in tiny romantic voices, "As for me I don't want any man to control me oh." If you don't want to submit don't think of marriage because no man in his right sense will offer his love to a woman whose heart is higher than his height, no matter how short he may be. When a woman bows her knee before a man, the man will automatically bow his heart before her love. And love her sincerely. There are, of course, recalcitrant men who will not value women of humility but I tell you that every true man does not need sex, but submission. It is submission that truly makes you a romantic wife. So be the African queen you want to be but when it comes to dealing with your husband, play the role of a humble maid. Don't forget that it is the spirit of humility that has caused many maids to hijack their mistresses' husbands. Be your man's queen and be his maid also. I wish you all the best as you submit in your relationship and marriage. May God bless you with good marriage, my dear sisters'. |
